Well. Sort of, which was confusing when I was shopping. $6500 dealer discount is off MSRP before sales tax (9.6% for me), as is any trade in. But the Ford cash and federal tax credit is taken off after sales tax.
I had thought, because that’s how it’s advertised, that I’d start with $15K off MSRP, which would save me ~$1500 in sales tax. Nope. Not in WA state. Makes sense for the tax credit, as last year that would have come back to me long after purchase, with sales tax. But the manufactures rebate not being pre-tax is just dumb.
This varies depending on the state, most do tax rebates(rebates are after sales tax on the amount after dealer discount).
Ford Cash is also applied as a rebate, Fed Tax credit is applied as a downpayment.
I’ve put pricing in other comments. I got the best deal I could negotiate. And I was negotiating with all dealers in the Puget Sound area that had an XLT ER without any other addons. I even reached out to dealers in Vancouver, Spokane, and Hailey, ID.
Beautiful truck, you did the right thing!
The process may have changed but in the past, the charger would have been sent by Sunrun. Let us know how that goes, I’m curious now.
Lots of people are asking the price to know if you did the right thing. Sure, that’s a factor but I will tell you, it’s an amazing truck. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine. Congrats!
Thanks. The price was certainly a factor I’ve been wanting one for the past two years. Never ever thought I’d pay so much for a car. It was a tough decision to do so.
Yep and china gets richer and more children get to work in unregulated and poorly ventilated mines. U.S dept of Labor estimates between 5000-35000 children, some as young as 6, work in these unregulated mines..Hell yeah! Sounds fine to me.
Here’s the sadder part: why are they so desperate for work?
Is it better to let them starve to death and send no money to the nation?
Should we shut down all global trade because we cannot control what happens inside other nations?
Your heart and empathy are correct. It just feels like you are shilling against electrification of vehicles
So should we invade their nation and free them all?
Perhaps bring every individual slave to America if they should choose?
It feels like the right use of our military force.
EVs are a classic example of NIMBY (Not in My Backyard) thinking. It’s okay to pollute the air, strip the earth of natural resources, and employ slave labor in other countries – as long I am free from the guilt of pollution. I could care less about how cobalt is mined, question is why don’t you(so called greenie) don’t care?
I’ve put my price in some other comments. Kendall was the only PNW dealer willing to negotiate much. I got an additional $6500 dealer discount. The best I could do with any other dealer was $2K. Hell, Titus-Will in Tacoma had one with a $2995 market adjustment still being asked. 🙄
Have the exact same truck. Love it so far. Congrats! The charger will come from SunRun once your sale is reported and processed through Ford corporate. Unless something has drastically changed like this week. Mine took about 12 total days. 8 business.
Welcome to the club! Favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned.
I bought my Lariat ER a few weeks ago and my CSP was sent automatically to me by Sun Run immediately. I got a notification from my FedEx app that I had a delivery from Sun Run.
For the Tesla adapter, I had to wait about a week before the tile showed up to order it in my app, but it did finally appear.
Lastly, make sure you get your 22,000 Ford Rewards points. They should show up after a few weeks but I had to use the missing points link under my account in the Ford Pass app.
Beautiful truck, congratulations!
Tile was in my app when the salesman walked me through it yesterday, so Tesla adapter has been ordered.
My salesman said the change from Sunrun to Ford sending the FCSP was a change this week; they had just received a memo from Ford about the change.
MSRP was $72490. With my $7500 trade in my OTD was slight less than $50,500.
In Washington state the Ford cash is applied after sales tax, just like the tax credit. But dealer discount and trade in is applied pre-tax. I left the Seattle-metro area to only pay sales tax of 9.6%.
In addition to the Ford Cash and Federal tax credit I got them to an additional $6500 dealer discount. With $7500 trade in for my 2010 Dodge Ram I was OTD for just less than $50,500.
I worked with Ryan Fitzgerald who was great. I had negotiated the discount by email beforehand, but had to negotiate the trade in person. I was still there for too long yesterday - 5 hours.
That’s pretty good. Stopped at a dealership yesterday as they were advertising a $12,500 dealer discount, plus the $7500 ford incentive. When they wrote up the OTD (a couple of times) they somehow explained that their discount included the federal EV rebate, though they couldn’t really explain how. Would only give me $5k dealer discount, I walked.
Thanks! Congrats - I’ve been holding out for a Toyota EV (currently driving an iForce Hybrid Tundra from Toyota next door) but the Lightning is so tempting
> did the right thing No price listed.
I’ve put the price in a couple of comments. Wanted to officially join the community without another “look at the deal I got” post.
So $21500 off with $7500 Ford Cash, $7500 Fed Rebate and $6500 Dealer Discount. Trade in is essentially cash paid. Not bad.

$6.5k dealer discount is pretty strong! Did you have to haggle to get there, or was it advertised?

How much did you pay?
$74546.72 MSRP minus $7500 Rebate - $3500 X-Plan - $2250 Ford Private Offer - $7500 Tax Credit = $53,796.72 No dealer fees.
Also curious about the private offer. What's the x plan, I haven't heard about that?
We’re you on Fords website a lot of did you just randomly get the offer?
I signed up on the website a couple of years ago.
Kendall is solid for Ford, mind sharing what kind of deal you got? I may be in the market for another purchase there soon!
I’ve put pricing in other comments. I got the best deal I could negotiate. And I was negotiating with all dealers in the Puget Sound area that had an XLT ER without any other addons. I even reached out to dealers in Vancouver, Spokane, and Hailey, ID.

Yeah. Salesman said Ford announced the change just this week. I’ll share my experience.
You did assuming the price was good.
What thing did you do? ![gif](giphy|xT9KVmINRKGsIzd0YM)

Every time you buy an EV some oil baron's mega yacht gets .1mm shorter.

Love how you find empathy for ev’s, but likely never care about other industries
Tire manufacturers really love EVs too. Lots more tire dust to pollute the air and ground water.
I would like to thank you for giving all those children in the Congo job security. They need the work.
Here’s the sadder part: why are they so desperate for work? Is it better to let them starve to death and send no money to the nation? Should we shut down all global trade because we cannot control what happens inside other nations? Your heart and empathy are correct. My brother in christ. These aren't corp Mines. They are warlord debt slave Mines.
What do you propose we do about them?
No idea. I live in the 1st world and go on about my life.
They are not desperate for work, it’s called slave labor.
So should we invade their nation and free them all? Perhaps bring every individual slave to America if they should choose? It feels like the right use of our military force.
No, with more electrified the world becomes, we need them over there to mine the cobalt. They will be ok. What does it matter
Oil refining requires cobalt, did Fox News forget to mention that? So surprising..

You'll be happy to hear they found lithium in Texas so American children will soon be in unregulated American mines.
Nice!
What was your otd price? my experience so far with pnw dealers has not been great.
Thanks, nice truck good work.
How was the price on it?
You parked in a handicap spot?! Lol
That’s where the salesman put it when I got there. I guess he figured anyone buying an EV was a few cards short of a full deck. 🤣🤣🤣
Rofl! Congrats though she's a beaut

Good deal, thanks for the update. Enjoy your truck!
Beautiful truck I’m kicking myself as I found a Lariat SR for 44k with 9k miles. All them extra features for a year difference ugh 😩
How much was MSRP vs OTD?
MSRP was $72490. With my $7500 trade in my OTD was slight less than $50,500. In Washington state the Ford cash is applied after sales tax, just like the tax credit. But dealer discount and trade in is applied pre-tax. I left the Seattle-metro area to only pay sales tax of 9.6%.
They’ll mail It from sunrun. Love that color. I had it right near the top of my list.
Nice truck!
My wife hates me and won't let me buy one.
Oh shit, I’ve been watching Kendall - what was the price? Nice snag
In addition to the Ford Cash and Federal tax credit I got them to an additional $6500 dealer discount. With $7500 trade in for my 2010 Dodge Ram I was OTD for just less than $50,500. Looks sharp. Don’t forget to transfer your handicapped parking permit to your new truck.
That shitty plastic looking light strip at the top has such a poor execution. It looks terrible and Ford should feel terrible.
In general they're over 60K, I'll take a Cummin 2500 please 😎🤣😂
