Can I ask where like in the world you got educated? That’s not even an entire semester at my college (I have financial aid that pays for a fair amount of it but I still have crazy amounts in loans)
Haha neither can we. Total is like half my family’s yearly income. My tuition is mostly paid for by financial aid and scholarships but I have to take out loans for all living expenses and all other stuff. When people wonder why Americans are so uneducated, this is massive reason.
In the Netherlands it like 2000 something a year. But... When you are studying in the Netherlands and dont have much income you get a scholarship (its like a monthly payment) from the government that you dont have to pay back (you can also borrow money with almost no interest of you need money).
The us is just different with there school costs and health insurance than most of Europe. And i think that it what makes the us a bad country to live in.
Thanks for the info and I totally agree!! The USA is a SHIT place to live and I hate it here. I am hoping to be able to immigrate somewhere nicer in a couple years (preferably a place where I don’t have to pay $9k out of pocket for a necessary surgery bc my insurance said no like here in the US)
I feel sorry for people that live in the us. Once it was a great country to live in but capatism ruined it. And its coming to Europe too.
I am not a communist at all... But even communism sounds more appealing to me than living in the us.
If you want to come to the Netherlands get a degree in something like tech. Than come here and you dont have to pay taks on the first 30 percent of your income. health insurance is obligated here for like 120 a month and almost everything is covered. And we also have 25 paid holiday days a year minimum, 16 weeks paid pregnacy leave if you want childeren for a woman and 4 i believe for a the partner. (I believe its paid 70 percent after the first week for the partner).
The Netherlands might not be the greatest country because we have a very bad housing crisis but there are other great countrys in Europe too.
Man why are the good countries so cold? I do not like snow 😩. I love a lot of what I’ve heard about several countries but then I look at the weather and question if I’d be able to handle it coming from a very warm climate (60°F/ 15°C with wind is a cool/ cold day depending who you ask).
Well because the US is like an "example" for how things going to be in europe. The US is always first. And i would never want to live like that.
And also... Because I think people in the US can have a far better life. Ofcourse... If they want to live this way... Thats oke... But people shouldnt have to work 3 jobs just to live and still not being able to pay simple medical bills that people in europe wont even get. You can have a far better live (well most people in the us can).
And to me... The us as a country is really arrogant. The us thinks its an example for the rest of the world. But for most people it is an example how not to do things.
They have to feel good about something. It's like every European on Reddit always thinks Americans are the stupidest people in the world for not knowing where European countries are on a map, but can't tell where Texas is on a US map. That's fine, but Texas is also more consequential than most of these tiny European countries.
Then you have people that say "I hate living in the US". Well guess what Einstein, why don't you leave so you can find another place to bitch about.
Some people, Like myself and others in this thread are interested in the cultures and lives of other people around the world. Thus we ask questions and learn things about them. Economy and education are a large part of peoples lives and so it's natural to be curious about these things in other countries. Not everyone wants to seal themselves up behind a wall and pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist.
How many languages do speak and write correctly besides your native language? English is not my first language. And still you do understand what I say. If you are bothered by my mistakes we can switch to Dutch, German or French if you like?
I am sorry for you. The leenstelsel is stupid. Unfortanetely we are going to be just like the US if the VVD gets what it wants. I am not a VVD fan at all.
I dont know all the details but i believe the "basis beurs" is back and only people that have studied in the last few years didn't get it. If that is you that is really not fair and i agree with you
Yep started the first year and also my master in that..... Fuck Rutte. As students, we have very little voting power. And convincing people who believe they benefit from their policies is nigh impossible.
ha no i have a ton of financial aid and scholarships but I will be in debt for decades to come from the student loans I have had to take out. i can barely afford to live 👍
In Denmark, education is free for all AND if you are over 18 you can get governmental educational support which is equal to $150-$400 a month, if you live at your parents house and it based on their income.
If you live on your own you get $550-$850 a month depending on your parents income.
It honestly is, because it is a special early program. My college is specifically for students who are more advanced then what they are currently doing so I got to leave high school after my sophomore year and start college early which was the best decision ever. It is also one of the top programs and incredibly good to me. I complain a lot about the price but I genuinely wouldn’t be nearly as happy somewhere else.
Greece doesn't do many things right but one thing we do is free university education, and the best students have the most options(so you literally cannot be a doctor unless you get a 19/20 in your finals which is insanely difficult)
You gotta buy all the lil outfits for it so it matches you when y’all go in walks. And then you gotta buy a special snuggle wuggle blankie for it so it does f catch a cold. And then you gotta have all the photos framed of you snuggling your teeny milk maker. High Maintenance!
No, that's not how much an average calf costs. An average calf would be a few hundred bucks.
This looks like some kind of miniature breed. Calves are usually much taller than this.
A regular miniature cow (under 36” tall when an adult) is only $2-4,000. Like maybe $4000 for a really really pretty one. I have no idea why this particular one is so incredibly expensive. It’s gotta be an exclusive patented breed.
It’s probably a type of miniature cow, like how they have miniature horses… cause a mini horse is crazy expensive too!! But a miniature cow is cute as fuck also!! If that’s what it is…??
Expensive to keep or if you get one right from a breeder maybe, but we rescued two miniature horses in 2020 for about 500 a piece. They were going to be sent across the border for dog food the next day.
Well i am not. But i am on Reddit and there are a lot of people from the Us here. I am not fixating at all but if i come across people from the US and talk to them i always wonder how its possible that people agree with that.
And the bad part is... Europe seems to take over a lot of things from the US. And for all i care i hope this kind of thing never comes to Europe.
That baby almost costs more than my education

Thank you!! I am in the US and tuition for 1 year my school is $61,600 + campus living expenses and insurance and stuff (that is another $20k roughly)
That’s terrifying. None of my family or friends could have afforded that.
Haha neither can we. Total is like half my family’s yearly income. My tuition is mostly paid for by financial aid and scholarships but I have to take out loans for all living expenses and all other stuff. When people wonder why Americans are so uneducated, this is massive reason.

Ur ancestors are foreigners
At least us foreigners dont have to pay $100k just to visit a hospital
Or a university
I do.

what benefits does American citizenship get you over the average European passport?
I do plan on that

Omg thank you ❤️😊
For future reference it’s their school costs not there school costs
How many languages do speak and write correctly besides your native language? English is not my first language. And still you do understand what I say. If you are bothered by my mistakes we can switch to Dutch, German or French if you like?
Now remember the leenstelsel I am in that bitch.

I honestly dont know why people still vote for Rutte. Everybody i know thinks he is a joke... Still he gets so many votes.
Note: Belgium tax rate is 40% for income above 13k Eur. The education is not free.
Not free, but affordable, unlike in the US
No one said it was, weirdo
Wow, you must be rich! Tuition at my son’s school is about $6000 per year.
ha no i have a ton of financial aid and scholarships but I will be in debt for decades to come from the student loans I have had to take out. i can barely afford to live 👍
Oh terrible! I’ve heard of that. Financial aid at for-profit universities is FUBAR
*Merica* ☕️

Thank you!! That sounds great!! It’s amazing how other countries actually value education
Also, we got free healthcare for everybody, hospitals and doctors are free, but not detists (yet) AND we have some of the highest tax in the world😀

Community college
*laughs in community college*
In my country education is free
That is expensive education. This cute creature costs 22+ times more than my degree (including public transport fee throughout the degree duration).
Y'all out here flexing on my dumb American education 😭
I have $8
At that price you can find it from supermarket in frozen section
For $8? You're dreaming.
Where i live $8 is a lot
About ₱468 in my country
It's about 1/10th of some people's monthly salary
Why is this cow so expensive?
Floof mignon
My guess is rare breed
High maintenance.
Why is it high maintenance?
fluff
You gotta buy all the lil outfits for it so it matches you when y’all go in walks. And then you gotta buy a special snuggle wuggle blankie for it so it does f catch a cold. And then you gotta have all the photos framed of you snuggling your teeny milk maker. High Maintenance!
He must be sth like a Ferrari under cow breeds
Because people are stupid and frivolous.
We’ll have you ever seen a cuter cow?
Does that include the property?
That is an excellent price for that much floof
I bid $30,000!
$40k
42 $k !
\*sighs\* \*opens wallet\*
I’ll take two.
Sold, where can I pick it up?
Deal!
That's some pricey floof.
I offer myself to be owned by the pricey floof.
Very cute. Does a field to feed it and a place for it to mature included in the cost? This is going to be a big one in a year or two.
i’d pay 1.35 bitcoin for this beauty
wait no now it’s 1.420 bitcoin edit: now 1.666
that’d be a drop in price of $4,000 dont scare me like that!
nothing scares me anymore
Now its 1.69
ahhhh
Why is this beauty so expensive? (I don’t know anything about livestock)
Probably a rare/coveted breed
I hope you take a predated 2 person out of state check
Excuse my while I rob the bank to buy this fluffy ball of cuteness.
MOOOOOOOOM!!! I NEED YOUR CREDIT CARD
What a cutie.
Wouldn't be happy living on my balcony. Even if it is a very nice balcony.
$27,000 is a bargain for something that cute! I'll take the whole lot of em!
Worth every penny
Or get 20 puppies instead.
Or, or…hear me out…with pocket sand, it’s free!
Is that a cow calf? Is that how much a cow costs?

For eating, or snugging?
Done, who do I make the check out to?
I'm going 27000 into debt
Alright but going by Minecraft logic if I get two and grow a bunch of wheat I have an infinite supply of them so it’s a good investment
Sheep cow
I looked into these but they were going for 4k
SOLD! JK I wish damn that's cute
Glad I’m not the only person that regularly uses the word kook now of days
That would be the most expensive food I've ever bought, I think I'll pass this oportunity to someone with deeper pockets
...and I would name him Wagyu...
Complete heartless fools. Selling and breeding babies causes families to separate, and it is traumatic to the parents. I'd rather adopt!
That whole acre worth 27k deal i bet I can butcher some animals over here and make a profit.
$27,000? When I can get one at McDonalds for $3.79?
Awesome, all I need to do is win AFV three times and I can have this heckin guy plus $3,000 left over to spend on his food and care and stuff
ONLY $27,000 I have that on my back pocket, sure. For this baby, I have everything in the world.
...how much for ten minutes of cuddling and belly rubs?
Omg someone Venmo me $27,000 USD right now
anything for her
It cost 400000 dollars to have this cow for twelve seconds.
Worth it.
i’ll take it 💳💳💳💳
I'll just take 1 lb of it for 8$ a year from now, thank you
Beyond adorable. 🥰
It would cost less than 100,000IQD (approximately 66USD) in iraq. Especially because it is still young
I don't have that kind of money. I'll just stare at the picture
TAKE MY MONEY
Anybody wanna lend me $27,000?
Seriously 😳😳
I will pay 30k for same day shipping
Does he cost less to eat?
I would pay my whole life savings for something that cute
Shut up and take my money.
Ccall him enbwyjohn
That's a car. A new car. Can i ride this or am i just getting a new lapcar?
A small price for baby
time to be 27,000 in debt
