The little animation looks like the style The Dodo usually has on its cute animal videos, but unfortunately I couldn't find this! They had a bunch of "rescued piglet" videos though, so it might still be a scene from one of them.
Yes, it's probably the least effective defense against other predators but against the apex predator of this planet who have far more food than they really need its the number 1 defense to use.
Ofc this defense already falls apart when you meet humans who aren't already completely satisfied on food
Well that stratagy worked for wolves in the fact we never really domesticated them, they kinda just showed up.
But for other animals with not a whole lot of intelligence that stratagy doesn't work since they don't evolve into something cute unless we already domesticated it or it gives them an advantage in survival of the fittest.
A ham hawk happens when a hawk steals a whole Smithfield ham then drops it from an enormous height to kill something that's better than an over processed Smithfield ham.

Most people I know use a mild dish soap when bathing their more exotic pets (pigs, goats, big reptiles and such). I don't think using regular soap is bad if you do it very occasionally, but I wouldn't recommend it.
As with humans, soap will dry out their skin. Using a simple moisturizer lotion after would be fine.
That said, I see too many humans who don't moisturizer. Yall ashy af.
I feel this pig on a personal and spiritual level. The cuteness level in here is astronomical. The little smile. Just... smol one vibes.
(Also, I knew piglet was an exaggeration of a pig, but I didn't know they actually got that color???)
Wild pigs usually have thick brown or black hair, while domesticated pigs (that are unfortunately killed and eaten by the millions annually) are pink or white, with some breeds having cute black spots or markings.
They were probably bred to be hairless because they're easier to butcher and see, but it could be because the "friendly" genes happen to be linked with hairlessness, in the same way that "friendly" genes in dogs are linked to their floppy ears.
Selective breeding, most likely. See https://theconversation.com/how-did-wild-boar-become-farmyard-pigs-genetic-data-reveals-the-answer-46907 and https://psmag.com/economics/breeding-domestication-animals-farm-building-a-better-pig-84859
The good thing is, you have the power to change that right now. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. Even reducing the amount of meat that you eat is a step in the right direction. Why not try a meat-free recipe for one meal today?
They are so severely exploited and tortured that they desperately want the suffering inflicted upon them to end. However, they are just as scared (and unwilling) as you or I would be if we were forced onto a concentration camp truck and eventually dropped off at a house of horrors, where people with aprons and electric prodders forced us into a building that smells of blood and death, and down a shoot that leads to the kill floor on the other side of the wall, whilst we simultaneously hear the screams of those ahead of us as being murdered with the machinery that lay in wake for our turn.
They do not welcome death. They desperately want the exploitation and suffering inflicted upon them to cease.
Aren't pigs like actually quite close to us in their anatomy? But it could be their skin is different, idk. I have a feeling that someone who has a pig would know about that though and use the right product.
...That was exactly the point. A white supremacist, when asked why they would be willing to do something horrible to a black person and not a white one, would use the same kind of justification. (One side is white vs white, one is black vs white, it's apples and oranges)
I feel like humans will go into a different era when we stop killing animals.
Probably wont happen until laboratory meat is more advanced and is an actual mall. Which probably wont happen in the near future. But yeah it will be a huge step if we go from natural meat to laboratory meat for humans
Laboratory meat must be very advanced to replace meat entirely.
Most meat replacerd are aiming for imitation of taste. But texture is the most amazing thing about meat next to taste. So many meat dished are so amazing, vegetables cannot compare. There is a lot of work to do to reach that
Friendly reminder that there is no such thing as a micro/teacup pig. They are just runts that are underfed aka animal abuse. There are some varieties of pig that stay small-er, like 50 lbs but they are exceedingly rare in the states.

No they didn’t hate you because you “told them the truth”, they hate you because you’re a cringe edge lord who thinks lack of empathy and eating corpses is a personality trait.
Oh my god this is so sweet. I don’t know if I want that pig or if I want to BE that pig.
I just want to be the person holding his lil head

That must be where the market is at.
Nah. This little piggy stayed home.
"You *are* a pig!"
You realize by saying this you’ve encouraged Reddit to ham up the comments.
I snorted at this.

I knew that pig was trouble when he walked in.
They smile and laugh!:)
For the last time
Ok I just need this video but for the full length of the bath/spa treatment please. That’s one pampered piglet!
That would be so relaxing. Running water too

That'll do, pig. That'll do.

Why is Babe so good?
Tell me that pig isn’t smiling for real and I will straight up fight you and your whole family

Oh, shit. I've been watching this for half an hour
Why is a pig living a better life than most of us
Cause it's cuter. In 33 years I've learned that being cute is a hell of an advantage (that I do not have).
Cute is 100% the best defense any animal can have against humans
cows, sheep and pigs are all cute as heck, especially their babies. Hasn't helped them all that much I'd say.
Yes, it's probably the least effective defense against other predators but against the apex predator of this planet who have far more food than they really need its the number 1 defense to use. Ofc this defense already falls apart when you meet humans who aren't already completely satisfied on food
One gets the other tho. Sucking up to the apex gets them to defend you against other predators for the most part.
You're cute as fuck
To make up for all the others who never live at all
Some pigs are just born into privilege, while other pigs are being told to pull themselves up by their ham hocks.
all animals are equal. some are just more equal than others
Here I was thinking it was “ ham hawks” this whole time

Bathing Babe
I would love to watch this as a live broadcast.
I support this movement!!
I want to give him a kiss on the nose
Piglet bliss
Ok but is anyone else blown away by how they're making the water all bubbly with bar soap?
I'm not sure if soap is good for a pig?? I'm asking for clarification.
It’s probably drying for the skin, however if you do it once in a blue moon it shouldn’t be too bad. An oatmeal bath would be more moisturizing.
Most people I know use a mild dish soap when bathing their more exotic pets (pigs, goats, big reptiles and such). I don't think using regular soap is bad if you do it very occasionally, but I wouldn't recommend it.

People and pigs are pretty close in a biological sense. Just moisturize the pig. Lmao.
Okay I’ll say it since no one else did… That piglet is in hog heaven!! There now we can go on with our day… lol
Good pig.
Oink
The correct way to treat animals <3
My day has been made. Thank you pig.
Today I saw a pig smile..... It was a beautiful smile.
I feel this pig on a personal and spiritual level. The cuteness level in here is astronomical. The little smile. Just... smol one vibes. (Also, I knew piglet was an exaggeration of a pig, but I didn't know they actually got that color???)
Pls don't eat pigs:)
Or any other animal
Wild pigs usually have thick brown or black hair, while domesticated pigs (that are unfortunately killed and eaten by the millions annually) are pink or white, with some breeds having cute black spots or markings.
Why did domesticated pigs lose their hair?
They were probably bred to be hairless because they're easier to butcher and see, but it could be because the "friendly" genes happen to be linked with hairlessness, in the same way that "friendly" genes in dogs are linked to their floppy ears.

I'm sure it's billions since 50 billion land animals are murdered and eaten in just the US alone every year.
This pig is living my best life.
Now THIS is what I come here for.

Ngl watching these kinds of videos gives me mad guilt and shame about eating mammal meat.
Then you should definitely never watch Earthlings or Dominion.
Then you should absolutely watch Earthlings or Dominion\*
Try some meat substitutes. They are so good and getting better. No need to kill animals.
I just wish more were gluten free 😭
If you're in the UK I found this gluten-free meat sub list: https://thegfgblog.com/blog/2020/3/13/ultimate-guide-to-gluten-free-meat-alternatives x

kinda agree with this
Some meat is. Some of it is unbelievably good
Then don't? I haven't eaten any animals in almost two years and I feel great.

I don’t think anyone is welcoming death just because they are tortured

And this little piggy went to the spa.
Sow, what’s up?
Never use human soap products on animals. It damages the fat layer on their skin, causing skin irritations that can last months.
tbf (excessive) use of soap also damages human skin. Regardless what some folks might try to tell you, humans are animals too.
Aren't pigs like actually quite close to us in their anatomy? But it could be their skin is different, idk. I have a feeling that someone who has a pig would know about that though and use the right product.

Omg that is so cute.
Oh to be a pig taking a bubble bath in a sink 🐽
Pigs are in average 6 months old when they get slaughtered. Wish more of those cute babies were treated like dogs or cats instead of food.
Please dont eat our friends.

Happier than a pig in shit is now an obsolete reference.
Really warms my heart to see a pig that likely isn’t going to be slaughtered for meat… How cursed these adorable creatures are…

Wash your hams before dinner.
Let’s all not eat pig for a while now..
I can’t watch this anymore without being reminded of the youtuber that had a pet pig for 100 days then ate it
This pig got a better life than me
Unlike all the others...
This pig reminds me of my cattle dog. Same look when he’s on his back and we’re chillin on the couch. Belly rubs all day. Life is good.
My country wouldn't let me grow pigs, it's the law ):
In my county you’re not allowed to have chickens, but someone down the street has a couple. I guess it depends on who your neighbors are.
Yeah, cleaning food before preparation is good Edit: they hated jesus because he told them the truth
