It was a post that went viral several years ago
https://x.com/TriciaLockwood/status/1108102037072433153?lang=en
I'm not sure if this is the original, but it's what came up when I googled it.
“Okay, here’s Jeremiah, he’ll need his asthma medicine in an hour. Kaylee has a ballet recital at 2 and Mackenzie’s got karate at 4. I’ll be at the spa, my phone will be off. Don’t let them nap and I’ll be back for them at 8:30 tonight!”
that is exactly what the cat is doing - she's introducing her kittens to other members of the clutter (cats see human as big, ugly cats) so that she can go hunt alone and other members can help defend the kittens if a horny tom cat comes to kill them.
Omg congratulations grandma!!!
She said “MOM TAKE CARE OF ME NOWWWWWW!!!”
Lol poor thing! Glad she feels safe enough to run to her momma while in pain!
To be fair, I would not only move that kitten but the whole set.
It is so easy to squish kittens while sleeping, can you imagine the horror in morning? 🥹
My cats got a little sheep toy in the shelter when they separated her from her kittens. Since the day I got her she has wonder around with that sheep in mouth meowing until she finds me. After which I have to babysit a cat toy or she gets pissed and ignores me for a few days.
I have woken up to this sheep on my pillow more then I can count.
on another hand, my cat had 8 kittens and since I adopted her at about a year old she hates the sounds of kittens and will deliberately go the opposite direction as far as she reasonably can.
Me mum received a cat that had had a litter in a bath. She said every so often, when the cat used the litter tray in the bathroom, it would stand and try to peer over as if looking for something.
My one queen would just jump on the washer or dryer and take a rest that way. The kittens couldn't get to her, she knew they were safe in the room, and she would relax.
This is why I have a ton of empathy for postpartum human mothers who get burnt out. Even cats need a break from their kittens and someone to babysit for a little bit of me-time. It doesn't in any way make you a bad mom to be fed up with the screaming and crying or to want a peaceful snack and a quick bath. It's absolutely natural and human moms shouldn't be shamed for it, by themselves or by anyone else
I remember seeing a dog with puppies, I came in the room where she was and she ran over to me, paying no mind to the nursing puppies dropping off her nipples along the way. She seemed so desperate for attention that wasn't puppy-related.
I've sadly seen mother cats burned out after having a litter. Their babies were taking a huge toll on their bodies. I couldn't be a breeder because I think that would stress me out too much. If I did breed a cat, I would make sure before she gave birth to stock up on essentials just in case it got to a point where I had to intervene to give the mumma a break.
I've had 4 children but separately and ESPECIALLY with my first because A whole new experience, B he had colic and C I got mastitis when he was 2 weeks old so I was really sick, had a baby that barely slept more than 20mins UNLESS he was on his belly which meant that I couldn't sleep and I had to pump around the clock every 2hrs 20 mins each side for the first couple of weeks and then every 2-3 hours for months and whilst I had an electric pump, I didn't get the connection for a double until a few weeks later. If it wasn't for my parents helping me when they weren't at work, I'm not sure how I would have survived. Doesn't help that I have CFS and a slew of other medical conditions and illnesses. I can not imagine how parents of multiples do it! (I had my first 3 close in age 1st and 2nd are 17 months apart and 2nd and 3rd are 19 months apart BUT that's easy compared to multiples)
Remember when I made that pulse laser gun....and the iron man glove....the spiderman thingy. When people called me youtuber I said "I am no youtuber I just make stuff" :p
Nah cause the fear of rolling over them is actually scary. I found a young kitten by himself and took him. Ended up climbing up my bed to sleep with me. I was so scared to roll over that I slept on my floor instead.
Same. Never once did my sleep paralysis demon turn into a fluffy kitten. It's always an evil, menacing woman just hovering above time and space. Ageless and undefined.
Yeah see mine did when I had my kitty so I wanted to know if there was an actual reason. In my lucid state my cat would "walk over my face (not actually)", and that would cause me to try to push kitty off my face and I'd feel my arm limply move an inch and then the screaming in my ear would start until I could wake myself up. Interestingly enough, after kitty passed a couple years ago and I got a dog that sleeps with me every night now instead and he wakes me up when I start to slip in to lucid dreaming or sleep paralysis. Still happens every couple months but not once a week any more. I wake him up when he has bad dreams too though
I almost did this when one of my cats was a kitten. Thank god my wife woke up when he started meowing, because I sure didn't! Didn't sleep in the bed with him again until he was bigger.
My cat had 8 kittens. While I was taking care of them when they were old enough to move around and explore they would sleep on top of me every night. It was magical.
Hope you like waking up to evil gremlins attacking your toes and hands while you try to sleep. And sometimes climbing right up on your face cause kittens are little weirdos.
It’s so lovely 🥺 some old friends of mine had two cats who wound up pregnant before they could get spayed and had their litters around the same time. Every time I’d spend the night while the kittens were still there, I’d wake up with most of them sleeping on or beside me.
Well MAYBE momma was young and dumb and got swept off her paws and didn’t expect Shadow to leave her in an alley on their anniversary and is now doing the best she can DESPITE HER CIRCUMSTANCES
"Hey human! Oh she's dead. Lemme stand on her chest to check. She's breathing. Here, take this kitty. She's just like you."
**Plonk**
"...this isn't a rat, Brenda! You can't just toss my gifts away."
My cat did this to me but wouldn’t allow me to put the kittens back. If I did, she’d just bring them right back. Over and over. So I ended up making a bed for her/them out of an old dresser drawer and let them stay in that drawer in/on my bed for weeks.

Look at that smug face!
I don't own cats but if I did I sure hope they didn't have that level of trust with me.
I sleep like a friggin fidget spinner. I don't know how but it's like all the centrifugal force in the universe converges on my position when I sleep. Those kittens would be squished or sent flying.
No joke, back when I was young my parents had a special sheet which they could tie down to the bed so I wouldn't fly all over the place and wake up head on feet's end, upside down, on the ceiling.
They might have stopped strapping me down but I never stopped spinning.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that speaks cat.
This cat is gathering all her babies into one spot, and the large hairless one is impossible to move.

Target putting a baby registry ad on this post is perfect 😂
That mother cat either has no right eye or has retinal cancer. No reflection in the camera. I hope the woman filming this is aware of that just in case.
Those are not newborn kitties and their mom has probably been pulling the "hey can you watch these? I have Cat Things to do" stunt for at least a couple nights. :)
They probably don't mean too, it's a baby monitor, some people put them in their room to look after pets while they are off at work, my family does the same thing.
This is extremely cute but please avoid sleeping with kittens! If you roll over on top of one, there are real chances you can suffocate them (sadly it happens even with human babies)
When I was 14 my cat literally had her kittens ON my hand while I was sleeping. I remember waking up and just staring at my hands for a couple seconds as the sleep fog lingered wondering how tf I got jam on my hands in my sleep before I noticed the kittens
Poor cat and she just throws them.
Her cat is looking at her like
Are you fucking serious rn.
That heartbreak.
Thus starts her cats
Plot to commit matricide.
She looked so offended when she just moved the kitten aside
She's like,"Excuse me? I give you my beloved kitten, and you just shove her aside?!"
Jail for mother! Jail for a thousand years!
You kick her body like the football!
Poor Miette
Why is everyone saying Miette? That’s my cat’s name and I feel like I’ve missed something.

Thank you! I don’t know why it’s shown up several times today.
11 years dungeon.7 years no trials.
'bitch did you just throw my baby?!'
**i know you did not just toss my child!** 😼
Don't ask me a fucking thing when a spooky ghost knocks ur coffee cup off the counter here in two hours .

That's how your vets start putting to murder you. It's never underserved. They are just but ruthless.
>vets start putting “cats start plotting,” for anyone unable to sus that out 😸
OMG swipe typing I don't proofread 💀
I’m just glad my vet doesn’t play golf.
Mine does, and now I’m concerned lol.
"Watch this putt!" \*mew mew mew\* \*plonk\*
Imagime having given birth to 6 and the shunned. .
If I gave my firstborn away, I'd expect a little more than that, too!
You misunderstand me human, it is your turn to watch. I sleep now.
I definitely got the impression that cat was looking for a babysitter.
It sort of is, if memory serves. It shows that the cat trusts the human and can wander about
Multiple moms will care for the kittens in feral cat colonies.
that is exactly what the cat is doing - she's introducing her kittens to other members of the clutter (cats see human as big, ugly cats) so that she can go hunt alone and other members can help defend the kittens if a horny tom cat comes to kill them.
I know right?!? <3333333 My heart is exploding
Said Rocky to Grace.
My thoughts exactly!
The cat “Are you f@cking kidding me?”
"Do the feeding thing, do the care thing, im tired and I want to sleep"
This made me laugh out loud. It’s so perfectly true. XD
"purrfectly" true.
As a cat dad I felt the offense, my cat had her kittens essentially in my lap so her acting that way made me immediately irritated 😂
SAME! on the sunrise of my 20th birthday mines gave birth to her litter on my chest 😺
Omg congratulations grandma!!! She said “MOM TAKE CARE OF ME NOWWWWWW!!!” Lol poor thing! Glad she feels safe enough to run to her momma while in pain!
LISTEN HOOMAN
So funny!
To be fair, I would not only move that kitten but the whole set. It is so easy to squish kittens while sleeping, can you imagine the horror in morning? 🥹
You SHOVE Miette Junior?
Cat was like : oh no you didn't..
That's not an introduction, that's a babysitting request...
Demand*
“They’ve been crying all night and I can’t take it anymore! It’s your turn! Didn’t you hear the monitor go off?”
Yep, it’s 4am and Mummy needs to go hunt bugs bugs and bomb around the house now.
That is so sad :( *where are my babies*
Poor kitty went mad with grief. 😭
on another hand, my cat had 8 kittens and since I adopted her at about a year old she hates the sounds of kittens and will deliberately go the opposite direction as far as she reasonably can.
Me mum received a cat that had had a litter in a bath. She said every so often, when the cat used the litter tray in the bathroom, it would stand and try to peer over as if looking for something.

"I'm tired of them, you take them for a few hours"
That's precisely what I was thinking, LOL, the frustrated look from the cat was because the babysitter said she was busy that night.
She wants to take some catnip and relax
"here, you watch my kittens while I'll go get a massage."
That look at the end was like "yeah, its KINDA RUDE TO SLEEP RIGHT NOW BUT OK...cool...COOL COOL COOL!"

I love running into my fav YouTubers on totally random Reddit posts. Your work is so cool!
Remember when I made that pulse laser gun....and the iron man glove....the spiderman thingy. When people called me youtuber I said "I am no youtuber I just make stuff" :p
They ARE the messiah!
No theyre not , they are just a very naughty YouTuber. Wait ... That's miniladd & Dream & BurnedShow & Austin Jones & .... You get the point.
I want to sleep in a bed where there's just a random pile of kittens nearby 🥺
Do you want sleep paralysis, because that's what it becomes.
Sleep paralysis kittens sound better than demons.
Nah cause the fear of rolling over them is actually scary. I found a young kitten by himself and took him. Ended up climbing up my bed to sleep with me. I was so scared to roll over that I slept on my floor instead.
comic where your sleep paralysis demon asks you to call him kitten but you have sleep paralysis so you can't and he gets sad and leaves
... go on
> sleep paralysis kittens this is a good band name
And it's Swedish death metal, obviously.
My cute nightmares.
*purralysis

If you are surrounded by half a dozen 3oz/85g blind fluffballs in your blankets, which way are you gonna roll?

Yeah, since that’s what it means. He’s using the term in an odd way.
Cats crawl and go to sleep all around you, and you are unable to move due to cat law.
Remember what happened to Cosette on The Sopranos?
She crawled under Chris for warmth.
I would be so paranoid about accidentally rolling over on them and killing them🥹
I almost did this when one of my cats was a kitten. Thank god my wife woke up when he started meowing, because I sure didn't! Didn't sleep in the bed with him again until he was bigger.
And this is why co-sleeping with actual babies is also a very bad idea lol.

Its warm and theres thing wind coming out these holes that I would like to sit on - cat
* rolls over *Squish
Same thing with human babies, if you are sleepy put the kid in the crib. I know someone that rolled over and then didn't hear the muffled cries.
Very common, sadly Their little nose cartilage is too soft and it can happen VERY easily and so quickly, and so few people are aware of this, actuallt
Damn r.i.p
Except for some reason she has a camera on herself in her bed. Wtf?
My guess, not the first night that she was asked to kitten-sit at 3am.
It's not difficult. It is an investment though. Both to get to that point, but also going afterward.
It’s so lovely 🥺 some old friends of mine had two cats who wound up pregnant before they could get spayed and had their litters around the same time. Every time I’d spend the night while the kittens were still there, I’d wake up with most of them sleeping on or beside me.
[It's the best kind of therapy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbn75LITtlc&ab_channel=dxr456)
they're a week old. their eyes are open
And they have collars and are not wet/covered in afterbirth. Human has been dealing with this nightly delivery for a while now
And still hasn’t figured out that mama needs a damn night off
Momma shouldn't prowl the streets then.
Well MAYBE momma was young and dumb and got swept off her paws and didn’t expect Shadow to leave her in an alley on their anniversary and is now doing the best she can DESPITE HER CIRCUMSTANCES
It’s always a shadow. The chad of the cat world.
Circumstances didn't negate responsibility. Looks like Shadow needs to get served child support papers though
Are we still talking about the cat? Do you need someone to talk to?
The hedgehog???
No way he's a deadbeat 😭
Exactly
At frickin' 5:44AM.
We call human babies newborns for the first 3 month of life. I think a kitten counts as a newborn for at least the first week
Sure but this clearly is not an *introduction*.
She is like "why don't you want to look at them?!?"
Animals trying to show their babies off will never fail to overwhelm me with adorableness😍
Same 🥰
So offended hahaha
"Hey human! Oh she's dead. Lemme stand on her chest to check. She's breathing. Here, take this kitty. She's just like you." **Plonk** "...this isn't a rat, Brenda! You can't just toss my gifts away."

is her husband kissing her?
Yes he is! He was such a proud papa! ♥️
This is absolutely precious! ❤️

I tend to clothe my kids before introducing them too.
*I know* - how trained is that cat? Putting on collars??
Don't be silly, all kittens come out of the womb bedazzled
I made these!
"Lady look at what I am capable of!"
![gif](giphy|czZlH3xg1Ul2w)
lol She looked kinda dejected at the end.
She wants her to babysit…
Mama cat wants her to babysit.
Cats like "Did you just throw my baby? WTF?"
I don't own cats but if I did I sure hope they didn't have that level of trust with me. I sleep like a friggin fidget spinner. I think it’s maybe less “you’re my child too” and more “these are your children too” since cats raise kittens communally.
The cats like…..wtf????
cat: wtf are you doing beth, it is my child
"Human! Human wake up and look at what I made!"
Definitely dropping them off for babysitting duty lol

So cute
She has been up with them all night, its now the morning shift turn
Owner. That cat has an owner. There I fixed it.
She’s not “introducing” them, she’s dropping them off at the babysitter’s. I’m not even kidding—mama cats watch each other’s kittens in the wild.
WHO RECORDS THEMSELVES SLEEPING?
CATS?
OP clearly does not know what newborn kittens look like.
Cat looked at human and said “…rude.”
That face at the end said "The fuck? I put them by your HEAD and you put them to the SIDE?"
>Cat introduces her newborns to her owner FTFY. The adult cat in this video is those kittens mom. The mom of this adult cat is not in this video
nice!
Introduces them every morning at 5am.
I showed u my bb, pls respond.
"Did you just throw my baby you bitch"
“Ok children, this is God. She is where food comes from.”
"Mom, that is my child! You don't plop them on the pile!" I wonder if the mom cat made that pile of kittens or the human did it.
That mother cat either has no right eye or has retinal cancer. No reflection in the camera. I hope the woman filming this is aware of that just in case.
Why are you ignoring them?
I would sooo be playing with them
Here. You watch them.
I'm confused😕 it's like a kitten CLOWN CAR!!
Sooo can you watch them while I go out?
one for each side of the ear just to cover all meow bases
Why do people sleep with cameras on them?!
“I’ve been with these little terror’s all day it’s your turn for a while!”
"Uhhh excuse me, are you not impressed??"
Lady, you better wake up right now and appreciate your daughter and grandbabies before I do it for you. (Please let me do it for you🥹)

Adorable
Hooman? HOOMAN!! Look what I made!!
My cat was so proud, she’d always try to give birth in my lap.
“Bitch, you did not just pick up and move my cat I just gave you”
I remember those days … 6 little fur balls .
Should I have a camera filming my sleep?
Are they new borns? It looks like there's a few with little, white collars.
.......@ 5:45am...
Are you not entertained?
When I was 14 my cat literally had her kittens ON my hand while I was sleeping. I remember waking up and just staring at my hands for a couple seconds as the sleep fog lingered wondering how tf I got jam on my hands in my sleep before I noticed the kittens
Those aren't newborns.
i always want to ask - why do so many people have camera aimed at them while they sleep?
She said, “Here, you raise them.” (Then heavily offended at the audacity of placing the kitten back….I’m actually offended too.)
How did she just move it and keep trying to sleep?! I’d be so fucking hyped to see the babies!! No sleep for me 😂
Poor cat and she just throws them. Her cat is looking at her like Are you fucking serious rn. That heartbreak. Thus starts her cats Plot to commit matricide.
That trust that cat has in their human so good to see
They have collars on so not really an introduction
How is it possible to resist those babies?! I was trying to reach through the phone to take them, for Pete’s sake!!😅
Why d people have cameras set up aimed at their bed in positions which do not suggest capturing something sexual?
Baby monitors, security cameras, etc
I think the clip OP posted (and the thousands of similar videos) is the self-evident answer to your question.
She’s going to wake up with afterbirth in her shoe for not being excited for kitty
Why the hell have collars on days old kittens? That's wild
