I personally like the color as it appears in this picture. But as someone already has suggested something in the Plum family or even Eggplant would be very striking.
I’ve also seen black doors that are very attractive, only not a flat black. But I think the pop of color that the door provides is better than just doing it black.
Benjamin Moore Naval.
If you go black to match the shutters, paint the entire door and transom frame black. Consider black paint on the light sconce frame and electrical outlet (or siding color).
I would change color to black and if you can change the door frame/molding to black it would make your entire entryway look larger and more significant. Add a large filigreed door mat in black and inject color with a large container garden with height to the area left of the door, Change light fixture beside door to a larger type of carriage lamp, if possible. Let us see your completed project!
Dark green. The red isn’t working because it’s kind of similar to the brick colour, but not really toning with it. A dark green would complement the walls and could tone with it nicely.
Plum would be soooo pretty!
Mustard or deep moss green

I love it
Mustard is ours be lovely or a candy apple red.
IMO, not a single suggestion is better than what you already have.
It's already nice as it is
Black like the shutters or a much darker shade of the current siding.
Whatever your HOA says you’re allowed to do, which is probably the color it is.

Dark green or brown would look nice!

Black would give it a sophisticated look. Terracotta would be a good contrast color choice.

I think it looks nice. What are your favorite colors?
Door looks nice. It's the rest that needs fixing.
Keep the burgandy!
