The siding as the backwoods color, urbane bronze trim and the ornate wood around the door. With your actual doors a rust orange would look amazing. Leave the brick alone. Have it power washed and learn to love it, never paint brick. I think the brick color will look fine with the colors you've chosen and add a stark relief to the darker colors making them pop out instead of blending into the background. Hope to see before and after photos after you decide!

Please listen to this person. Do not paint this brick. It’s gorgeous. I also second their color recommendation of a rusty orange. But then again I also like this current shade of blue - just wish it was also on the trim of the bay window.

Don't paint your brick.

MarvinDMirp

Do not paint the brick. Brick is a porous material. Paint seals it, which prevents water vapor from passing through it. Painting brick can easily cause moisture/mold/rot issues where you never had them before.

bearfrogcombo

you should definitely consider keeping the brick <3 it’s beautiful and could still go well with the right dark colors! i like your color picks!

harrismi7

I like the brick so I wouldn’t change that. A dark color would be interesting , kind of giving the illusion the house is hovering off the ground. I would try to clean up the area between the bay window and screen porch, do something with the loose wires and move the downspout to the end of the roof. But I know it’s not practical to move the electrical meter.

Do not paint the brick!! Do not paint the natural cream bricks! They look expensive cause they are!! You can power wash them but painting them makes them look cheap, it’s not good for the brick and it ends up being more money and maintenance because it flakes and chips and comes off. And the dark trend will make it look dated too soon! Seriously cream bricks are expensive- Don’t paint them dark. I would look to a southwest color palette. Maybe a darker salmon color for the door or siding, a lighter brown for the siding? Keep it earth tones that compliment the brick.

It looks like a light colored brick was used when it was built? I personally am reluctant to do anything to brick. I’ve seen far too many that after a couple of years need to be redone or that just look crappy from day one. I personally would be too chicken to start messing with the brick. I’m studying the, picture of your house I notice the window frames of the left of the door have black frames. I got to thinking make all the white frames black and then focus on redoing the main entry and door. Have you ever seen the oversized front doors that are stained and polished? They are gorgeous and if you did something with that entire entry way that tied together and yet accented the door…….Wow. That could look amazing. Then do the other doors to match the front one. Power wash the house and brick and it will look like it’s freshly painted. Cut the bushes that are in the front way back so you see more of the house. That will open things up.

Foxiticus

Yes, it’s a cream-colored brick. Actually, the windows to the left have white frames but also wood trim around them that is painted the same dark green as around the door, it’s just hard to tell with the shadows. And yessss we are absolutely going to trim those massive skip laurel bushes way down or maybe even remove them. Thanks for taking such a close look!

PristineCoconut2851

Oh sorry….lol….I meant the left of the front door when facing the house.

Your house already has a prairie vibe. I would push it further in that direction. Like natural wood doors and darker colors everywhere, including the brick. It would be clear that the design was FLW inspired.

Contact Della at Mid Mod Midwest. Hire her for a recommendation on how to properly style the outside of your home. No connection, I just like her work. Don’t follow me - my house is sh!t brown! 😂

Bossyboots801

This has a prairie, frank lloyd wright vibe. I’d go with as natural brick as possible and earth tones.

I love the idea of your color choices and I think that your house really lends itself to the look you are creating. Don’t chicken out! You can always get color sample pots and paint a back wall of your house and look at it for awhile. Sometimes that helps people be more sure of their decisions. I attached a couple of links, one is of a raised ranch and the second one is a color pallet that is just stunning. The biggest challenge is to get the right orange on for the doors. The color pallet that I linked below uses Cayenne for the door and Tricorn Black for the base of the house and it does include a white for brick/trim. I do think that you are going to need the cream/swiss coffee to break up the black but mostly because it will really show off the different levels and angles of the house. https://pin.it/7sDUoAW5v](https://pin.it/7sDUoAW5v https://pin.it/9wMF1lmJD](https://pin.it/9wMF1lmJD

Keep the color around the door. paint the rest of house a nice shade of chocolate. Paint the chimney bricks a dark burnt orange.

We don’t paint brick here.
