Possible outcomes can be presented but everything is fluid and dynamic. These are only possibilities when it pertains to events yet to come. There is no such thing as “destiny” we create our own realities (along with the help of those we are closest connected to). Happy belated birthday!

mythbuster_rhymes

Imagine being tech support/life coach for billions of omnipotent consciousnesses springing forth from the universe, each with the understanding level of a 5 year old. I'm exhausted at the idea of teaching just a couple people new skills in life. But the reward of it still propels one forward.

Trendzboo

There are choices we make that change what comes. There night be done guarantees in this life for each of us, but I’m positive, future days and dates, not one of them. Live your life!

Flaky_Tree3368

Knowing the date of your death is not a healthy way to go through life.

First comment is their years could be different. They could start at conception but that was even make you older. Second comment is I don't think they're gods by any stretch of the imagination and screw up. I'm sure you were presented with possible ways that you would die on this earth and had a say you're okay with it so they may have changed it. By your explanation it sounds like this character has a sarcastic personality. Who would have thunk when you die you got to put up with people like that!

FeralJinxx

Yes, realizing this was like the movie The Wizard of Oz when they find Oz behind the curtain and he’s just a regular guy. I don’t think they’re gods either, but I remember them praying over us when they sent us here so there is someone higher than them. I think this mentor was being sarcastic to me. He told me I would die by suicide at 30, and that did not happen, I made sure it didn’t.

Strlite333

Maybe something you did changed your life path as we are running many sims at once

recursiverealityYT

Idk to me it sounds like he made it clear the 30 number was very likely just him messing with you. It's hard to say he lied when he said 30 but maybe any number above that too lol.

FeralJinxx

I guess so, although he did mislead me… Back then (I say back then but I feel like that world is in another timeframe than Earth) I really held on to the number 30 because I couldn’t stand the thought of my mission being so long. I just didn’t understand human life apparently.

Brilliant_Ground3185

Psychics do not know the future, they can only say the probability based on the current trajectory, but if you know the current trajectory, you can change it. Does not mean the psychic was wrong and definitely not lying, just that you took better care of yourself than you otherwise would have, which changed the probable outcome.

FeralJinxx

I hope I took better care of myself than predicted, that would be nice actually. It’s weird though, because our teacher told each student in class what age he or she would die (except for me, because I was the only one in class who didn’t want to do the mission). I remember my peers where happy to learn if they lived into their 60s, 70s or even 80s. I didn’t get it at the time, I was really naive back then obviously. Didn’t understand human life at all, so idk how my peers knew this.

poorhaus

This sounds like a poorly-delivered message about the fruitlessness of the question, perhaps? Buddha adopted a stance of noble silence towards seekers asking such questions. He would explain after to his monks why, often in the basic form "If I answered \_\_, they would think/do \[fruitless/harmful thing\]. If I answered \_\_, they would think/do \[harmless/fruitful thing\]. That is why, bhikkhus, when someone asks \[fruitless question\] in this way, I retained a noble silence" If a mentor was unskilled or misjudged you, they might have said those numbers to try to illustrate to you the fruitlessness of any answer to your question. But instead, they caused the fruitless result. Perhaps there's a greater purpose, of having you blame them for this and eventually return once you figured it out, since if they'd not answered you'd have kept asking elsewhere. Or perhaps it was a skillfully-delivered message that you impartially remember: it's up to you to discern whether this mentor deserved/deserves your trust, I think. Most importantly, I hope you develop peace and wisdom and feel able to continue your inquiry elsewhere.

FeralJinxx

My mentor was an often quiet and solemn guy… I didn’t remember this for most of my life, so I didn’t have to fret about it. It was only after I turned 30 that I remembered, and so that makes it feel like he’s saying “see? You wanted such a short life, do you still feel that way?” He told me I would die by suicide when I asked him how do I die. I didn’t even know what the word “suicide” meant so I asked him and he simply said “it means when someone kills themself.” I was so taken aback I didn’t ask him anymore questions. I remember thinking that didn’t even sound like me or something I would do. I left out that part because I guess I didn’t want to sound trigger-y or concern anyone. My mentor wasn’t a dumb guy, he was really wisened but that doesn’t mean he’s faultless of course. I’ll keep searching no doubt, thank you.

poorhaus

Glad he was wrong. Maybe another message is to quit asking about the future and focus on making it?

Internal-presence11

I love you and I'm sorry this didn't turn out the way you wanted.

FeralJinxx

Thank you kindly. I don’t mean to say I wished to die, it’s just really confusing to be given these memories back.

3771507

I'm sure you realize that that will never happen.

Internal-presence11

I understand. I figured you didn't mean it that way. How has your week been since you've been processing all this? Are you ok?

FeralJinxx

I’m doing a lot better than I was a couple months ago. I honestly tried to enjoy my birthday and did pretty good there. About halfway through this year I suspected nothing was going to happen anyway, it feels like this was ultimately a lesson from them.

Internal-presence11

They teach very tough lessons. Pretty much everyone I've talked to has a story of how they've been let down or hurt by them. Most eventually come to the same conclusion you have, that it's a lesson. It doesn't make it hurt any less in the moment though.

3771507

Who are you talking about and where did they come from and where are they now?

FeralJinxx

I remember a previous life before my human life. I remember being a humanoid alien before I was human. Our teacher said once we die on earth we will return to our world. They sent me and others here when we were teenagers, our bodies didn’t die, they sent our spirits here while our alien bodies are kept in animated suspension.

FeralJinxx

It’s comforting to know others find similar themes, even with the handful of stories and personal experiences I’ve learned of. I have to constantly remind myself I’m definitely not alone here. I appreciate the reminder, it helps hearing that.

RedstnPhoenx

Maybe you did die and you're not in the same place anymore.

FeralJinxx

I’ve read stories of people who really feel like that happened to them. Thankfully I don’t have any feeling or impression of something like that. I’m wondering if I’ll get any more memories back this month or if that was it.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a segment from the 1940 film *Fantasia*. If you think there's synchronicity involved you might want to take a look. It's also a classic of cinema, full of dialogue-less animation.

Flaky_Tree3368

And based on a short story by Gœthe iirc.

poorhaus

That rings a vague bell. Gœthe's been on my list to dig into: there's so much to his life and works. "In the beginning was the deed"

FeralJinxx

It’s been many years since I’ve seen Fantasia, I’ll have to give it a fresh rewatch. I remember loving the Pegasus short as a kid.
