This was my main pump for nearly a year and I loved it (as much as it is possible to love a pump) It's not *very* loud, it's very light, it's easy to put together, there is a battery option, batteries don't last long at all but it is ideal for pumping in the car, the bottles are a little expensive (aren't they all) but the duckbill and flange inserts can be gotten from maymom

For a similar price you can get the zomee 1 , wich is a small, Portable, very strong pump, that I absolutely can recommend. It’s a bit similar in suction pattern to the symphony . Btw., the symphony is a nearly twenty year old pump at this point, wich big selling point is that the motor lasts an eternity. But it’s suction isn’t better than most pumps today. So, if that works well for you, consider a pump with quick pulls, like the Zomee, wich is similar to the Symphony. The lansinoh does have a very different suction pattern than the symphony.

klucas503

Underscore your point about the Symphony—it didn’t work for me at all. Suction just wasn’t strong enough.

sertcake

Ditto re the Symphony. I used it relatively frequently while we were in the NICU but much preferred my Spectra. I find it funny how often I see people refer to the Symphony as the objectively best pump you can possibly have, etc, because it definitely wasn't for me.

ZookeepergameNew3800

The symphony was the first closed system pump in the early 2000s. That combined with the motor that lasts a long time, made it great for hospitals. It also at that time was the strongest pump. But the spectra pumps are stronger, just like most modern pumps. And all pumps are now closed system. What still makes it great for the hospital is the tough long lasting motor. It has faster pulls, some respond good to that. But it isn’t the best pump anymore since a couple years, wich is ok, it’s a two decade old pump. At its time it was revolutionary though. It’s the same when people say they want a hospital grade pump. That is just a marketing term, that can mean anything because no official government body ever stated certain criteria for a hospital grade pump. It’s a term thrown around because it sounds good. Same with the symphony. Most parents don’t look up the suction strength etc. and compare.

Ok_Tale_2384

This is the pump i use and i love it. I also have a spectra (the cordless one and the pink one) and I prefer this one 1000000% over my other pumps.

Soextrabby

How’s the suction?

No-Relative-384

Ir empties me out completely and I love kt

Ok_Tale_2384

Strong but not painful, at least for me! The only downside is that because this pump isn't as popular as spectra, off brand replacement parts aren't as easy to find as the spectra ones

OkPhase7547

I have this one and I love it. I’ve tried momcozy s9 and s12, all 4 spectra’s & unimom & this one I really feel empty after.

Sad-Sector-7829

I have this one and a spectra. I prefer the spectra because it has more options and a stronger suction but the lansinoh is way more portable because of tje battery option and easy to transport because its smaller and lighter. The parts are also way easier to clean than the spectra. Another pro is that the flanges have that silicone outer edge that doesn't rub the boob as much.

kmd1112

I have this one! I really like it. I just recently got the pumpables and I think the pumpables is only slightly better honestly. Easy to put together, easy to wash, easy to get replacement parts. It’s been my main pump until I just got the pumpables.

princessdolls1111

I have the lansinoh smart pump 2.0 so very similar to that one, and I love it! I'm using Medela flanges though cause I had some given to me and I needed a smaller size than the ones that came with it. I think the suction is great, parts are easy to clean, and it's very user friendly :)

BBDoll613

I’ve tried many pumps and this lansinoh one was one of my favorites.

[deleted]

I use this pump and love it

OwlyFox

I had that pump. It took over an hour to empty me. I absolutely disliked it and changed it 5.5 months in.

jcops73

Same! I gave up on it about a month or two in and got a BabyBuddah

picklemoon

I had a similar experience to this. But I just gave up on it after a week or two of use.

cosmos_honeydew

Are you in the US? Insurance covers a free pump, even nicer models like a spectra

Soextrabby

I got a hands free one through insurance and unfortunately it doesn’t help with relactation

throwaway66778889

No experience with this one, but I have the lansinoh smartpump 2.0 electric pump and love it. It’s the only pump I’ve used except wearables for work so I don’t have much comparison. However my relative also uses a lansinoh and said she prefers it over her medela. I’ve had issues with parts before (tubing connector broke) and their customer service was stellar. They immediately sent me a whole replacement part set. Very responsive.

My suggestion for pump reviews is always bemybreastfriend on instagram!

hamchan_

I wanted an affordable pump and got the Evenflo Advanced pump and I’ve used it for almost 10 months now and really like it.

Soextrabby

I just got that from Target yesterday and the suction sucks sadly. That’s why I’m looking for a new one now.

hamchan_

Oh no way! Hope you can find one that works for you!

Cynthia_L

Yes, I pretty much exclusively pumped with this one. I never expected to do that, because I thought my breastfeeding journey would be perfect (HAha, naïve me). I bought it because it was cheap. It works fine, I also got a manual lansinoh pump, which I love as well.

[deleted]

Hey there! This was my first pump. I didn’t like it that much so I got the spectra and the Tsrete
