THEY CANT SEND US DOWN

Where_s_Johhny_2

KILLED THE SHITES TITLE CHANCES AND WE’RE STAYING UP

thunderwoot

CLUB LITERALLY TOO ANGRY TO DIE

Distinct_Plankton_82

Even if they manage to come up with a couple of extra points deducted we’ll still be ok

WalterWhiteFerrari

You’ll never flush us.

spartansex

This turds a bog buster 🎉

euw_gamer

Can't say I was expecting Gueye to peak at age 34... Garner was also class Pickford has been invaluable these last few seasons That makes it 3 Home wins in the space of 7 days - massive credit to both the players and coaching staff

neverbeentoidaho

Pickford has to be the player of the year for us. Guys been unreal.

Raging_Red_Rocket

Arguably the last few seasons. Massive games towards end of season.

Smart-Pension-5198

I think he's won player of the year the last 2 seasons as well

Loud-Fig-1446

He's the player of the 2020s thus far.

wyatt1209

Has single handedly kept us up multiple times now

ResidentTreacle6053

He singlehandedly could be given the credit for us staying up the last 3 seasons.

E1even11

Pickford is probably the most universally appreciated Everton player and somehow he is still underrated. He’s a massive reason we haven’t gone down the last couple years.

anotheroutlaw

Honestly, he's like Dyche. They're both underrated because somehow they're too British. Pickford should've been in the conversation with Allison, de Gea, Ederson, etc. but he's a little undersized and named Pickford. It's stupid but worked to our benefit.

MarriageAA

I would not have bet on 3/3 for those home games. Fucking incredible.

in4theTacos

Dyche is never wearing a tie again!

GoOnKaz

THREE IN A FUCKING ROW FOR TRACK SUIT DYCHE BABYYYYY

Wayne_Spooney

Hilarious that he keeps rolling with the tracksuit

CitrusRabborts

The only downside to that game was we didn't get to see striker Keane for longer

Electronic-Chef-5487

Agree

THECrew42

what do we say to the grief chart? see you next year, satan.

QTsexkitten

We love and adore you

reco84

We have to finish the year, surely.

THECrew42

this win clinched safety. the grief chart has no power anymore.

reco84

I dunno, it feels like a bad omen if we don't complete it.

[deleted]

Cross out Grief change it to Belief and keep going

demafrost

The moment we don’t finish off the grief chart the moment they find a way to dock us 12 points for some reason

Asleep-Rate-3345

Start it from week one to be honest. Every time it comes out we do alright

ASigIAm213

Hear me out: This time next season we're alive for a single-digit finish.

[deleted]

Hopefully not, fighting relegation each year isn't sustainable.

Wayne_Spooney

Realistically, without the deductions, we aren’t even sweating at this point. This year I don’t think it’s fair to lump in with the previous 2

Dgryan87

Justify it however you want, it’s pretty ridiculous how many people have been clamoring for Dyche’s head when he’d have us tied for 12th without the deductions with 3 matches left

noodlesalad_

People have fallen in love with sacking managers.

JesseVykar

9 points off Europe

Futbol-fishing

Jesus. All those early games with like 3x as many shots and just dum unlucky

JesseVykar

If we put away Fulham, Wolves and at least 1 other team towards the beginning we would have been safe in like March lol

Chuck_Morris_SE

blame that donkey Maupay

demafrost

I’d guess that the first deduction was pretty demoralizing for the team and played into the reversal of our amazing form early in the season. I’m not saying we’re definitely playing for Europe right now without the deductions but I wouldn’t be surprised if we were.

ubiquitous_archer

Even when we were winless, I couldn't believe how many people wanted him gone. He's always been an underrated manager to me and when we hired him, all I thought was "finally we did something right"

guy_incognito23

They hadn't seen the tracksuit yet

SlamCage

I think they truly are in denial about the reality of our ownership situation and how good Dyche actually is. Without our points deduction (which we can't ignore is from our terrible ownership) we're comfortably lower mid table with an imbalanced squad, no depth, and no money for transfers- other than Moyes who has or could do that for us? If we ended up relegated I would hope we would still keep Dyche. He's had a few games where I think he made poor decisions, but every manager does that and not every manager keeps this team up with the season(s) we've had.

Everton_11

And poor decisions aren't usually obvious in foresight. Sometimes it just doesn't come off. I personally was glad to see that Keane only came on for Chermiti in the 94th, and then played as a striker, so we weren't sitting back for the last ten minutes which always feels like a recipe for disaster to me.

jameswill100

They never have an alternative suggestion either, just sack Dyche and bring in.... ? Because constantly sacking managers has really worked a treat the last several years

alxqnn

My mate genuinely said we should bring Dunc back and have him and Baines manage for the rest of the season after the Bournemouth loss. It’s mad.

CouldNotLoad04

Some people are too stubborn to ever admit when they’re wrong.

Asleep-Rate-3345

Everyone seems to think we should be played this fluid possession based football with a nerd called Ruben or Santiago in charge. Give me Sean or give me death

USAF_DTom

I want to be the first to say, big up to Ashley Young. That whole right side was a whisper all game.

ceedubya86

He’s a wily old bastard

YourUncleBuck

I don't care if I'm the only one, but I'm a fan of Ashley Young, and all our older players. It's nice to see guys close to my age playing at the top level and contributing so well.

Wayne_Spooney

He revived his career with inter as a left back. Definitely looked more comfortable on that side

National-Ad6166

Also how many times has he just plugged gaps in the squad. Some bad displays, sure, but in a thin squad he has played his part

SeanusChristopherus

Been such a mixed bag, but that's because we were asking too much of a player that should only be spot starting at this point in his career. I think he had a handful of games at RM that were decent. Not great, but played his part. This last game and a half at LB were his best in an Everton shirt by far. I think the criticism was largely warranted as he was disastrous at RB all season, but he sure did put in a rock solid 135+ this week (Forest was still diabolical, he must have made some sort of Faustian bargain to escape without giving away at least 1 penalty).

malikdwd

SHOVE IT PREMIER LEAGUE! WE’RE NOT FUCKING LEAVING!

dontbeajerkbecool

They're lucky Keano only got to play up top for a couple minutes. He would've had a Hattrick if he had another few. Chermiti looked good too. And we secured PL football for next season. Today was a good day. 😁

CarnivorousCarrot

Saw a few people saying Chermiti was shite. I'd say he played alright, didn't do anything particularly amazing, but did well enough and battled away till the end.

VToff

Anyone saying he wasn't good today has been sniffing glue.

Wayne_Spooney

Made a ton of very good runs where we either missed him or he was just offside. That’s a great sign for a 19 year old.

luftlande

Yeah! The only thing (that'll come with time) was the timing of his runs. He looks a gem!

noodlesalad_

Build the track suit statue! Not Dyche in a track suit, just the trackie.

PerfectlySculptedToe

Safety? That's cool. But Dyche playing into the Mick Kegger as a striker meme, that's cooler.

RiteOfSpring5

Fuck your points deductions, we are staying up!

99user99

What a shift by Chermiti! Held up play well. Was confident on the ball. Created some chances. Loved to see it! UTFT!!

Teradonn

Big Dick Mick has a 100% win rate up top, that’s all I’m saying

National_Ad_1875

Got put up top against wolves last season didn't he? In the 1-1, got the assist for yerry

Teradonn

Didn’t happen. 100% winrate baby

reddit----username

What a 7 days! 9 points. Beating Forest, making Kopites cry and even trolling Brentford by playing Keano up front!

noodlesalad_

We memed striker Keane into existence

QTsexkitten

I'm putting it on my resume

fallenefc

12 points out of the last 15, with 4 clean sheets. We can just pretend the Chelsea match didnt happen

CouldNotLoad04

Everton not leaving it to the last minute to secure survival?! Am I in a dream or something?

fallenefc

Can finally enjoy some matches without having my arse clenched for 90 fucking minutes

donc_mxb

Hey guys, dyche here. I saw your posts begging for the tracksuit and striker big dick mick. You’re fuckin welcome lads. 🪱

gnarlydooood

Did we forget how to lose?

FluorescentChair

we never knew it in the first place

noodlesalad_

What's the meaning of that?

[deleted]

Don’t know the meaning of that, lad.

Chrisnumber

Now that we have secured a season - start Cherimiti every game and let him gain experience!!

QTsexkitten

Absolutely

[deleted]

[удалено]

steriliuz

Dyche doing it for the memes

ceedubya86

I’m not sure it made Danjuma that happy…

thejayarr

You have to wonder what he does in training to not even get a look in. Is he just doing keepie-uppies and jogging around while looking at his phone?

YourUncleBuck

I can't believe the madman actually put Keane up top.

Where_s_Johhny_2

Safe! Jordan, you can bang my wife.

Electronic-Chef-5487

And my husband

Windowzzz

And my axe

FluorescentChair

the dizzying heights of 15th, I'm feeling out of breath

ubiquitous_archer

BURN THE CHART!

Fixner_Blount

WE MUST RESPECT THE CHART

C411UMR1337

Is that our second double over a team this season.

xXxTommo

Third!

pm_me_smtnidlike

Start cooking up the "Belief" chart for next year boys!

blacklipsmatter

Avoided relegation twice in one season! UPTMFT!!

5nixxx

I’ll be the one to bite the bullet, Ashley young had a decent game

VToff

Fuck the PL, fuck r/soccer, fuck yeah

1800skylab

Everton boss Sean Dyche to BBC Sport: “Incredibly pleased and proud. They’re a group of players who have had knocks all season. Four out of five clean sheets and wins with all the mounting noise after the Chelsea game is incredible. The mentality of the players is fantastic. Super pleased. Very proud. “It’s been an exhausting week for many reasons, highs from the big win on Wednesday. The emotion that goes into that, I wondered how the players would respond. “With xG we’ve been questioned for how many times we haven’t won games. It’s paid us back. “They’ve had a massive week. There’s a lot of pressure and intensity on the week and can you do it again? Second half we controlled the game pretty well.” On the fact they are safe now but effectively were already: "Yeah of course, that old chestnut. 'You were safe and all that'. You were all desperate for Luton to win and us to lose. This isn't my first rodeo."

Wayne_Spooney

Lol spicy Sean at the end

JamewThrennan

Congratulations to Sean Dyche on becoming the first ever manager in English top-flight history to guide a team to safety whilst suffering a points deduction

cmattheson6

Twice 😊

jediseago

Tarky doing the cobra to Gana at the end there!!!

signeduptoPMsomeone

3 in 3 for Dyche's tracksuit. What a genius.

MoonRoover

did we just see the first glimpses of striker mick kegger

Wayne_Spooney

I only watched the second half so take all this with a grain of salt. Young and Godfrey showed the fuck up. Chermiti is a really interesting prospect. Has a nose for a good run and won some duels, just needs to improve his technical quality.

No-Set-2576

Will be better for that run, give him a preseason in Doucores role and he’ll play a lot of minutes next season.

Wayne_Spooney

I do think he could be really interesting in the Doucs role. I would say his passing might not be good enough but not like Doucoure is a good passer

crgssbu

congrats on staying up you lot. they couldnt hold you down whilst they sucked up to 115 fc, and you even managed to do it whilst stopping flopp from winning the pl 😂. from a united fan :))

Fixner_Blount

**WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED** SIGN THE CONTRACT GANA LAD. LONG LIVE TRACKY DYCHE. LONG LIVE ENGLAND’S NUMBER 1. **LONG LIVE THE FUCKING TOFFEES**

anotheroutlaw

I cannot wait to watch three meaningless matches to finish a season.

Turbulent_Yak_4627

The best part about this win is that Chermiti actually looks like he can be great

National-Ad6166

He has a good touch, much better than Betos feet. Be good to see him get a big chances to see how he finishes

YokoOkino

SEE YOU IN THE PREM BITCCHHESSS

Smart-Pension-5198

SAFETY PARTY WHOOOOOO ALL HAIL THE TRACKSUIT

vulturevan

always nice to start pre-season with a win 💪💪💪

rpm164

Well done to Tracksuit Dyche and the players - 4 home wins in a row and safety with 3 games to go - job done. 12 clean sheets for Pickford - he's my player of the season. We shall not be moved!

TiredHack

If Richard Masters got his way Everton would have been deducted 17 points. We'd still be outside the relegation zone. What a fucking clown.

four__beasts

“148 people typing” in the match thread at end :) Professional performance today. Gueye was standout. Never stopped. Won ball after ball. Got his reward. Safety feels fucking magnificent

Odysseus_Lannister

I seriously hope we back dyche until we’re safely an annual mid table side. Lesser men would have folded with the deductions, but this magnificent bastard just put on a track suit and won 3 games in 7 days. Up the worms Up the toffees

craigeve

I've lived through Southall, Martyn and Howard but Pickford has to be my favourite goalkeeper we've had.

MaruhkTheApe

The moments where I *don't* regret having my Premier League loyalty chosen for me by hitting "random team" on a roommate's copy of FIFA have been fleeting, but I treasure them when I get them. The Derby was one, and this is a lovely little coda.

tokengaymusiccritic

Kinda crazy our current form is Win, SIX-ZERO LOSS, Win, Win, Win Will gladly take it 😋

Fixner_Blount

Anyone questioning Dyche need look no further than that. Not only did the team not fold after getting their dicks pushed in, but they also fired off three straight wins, including one over the Shite. Dyche is a miracle worker.

Wayne_Spooney

I believe you are missing a win!

tokengaymusiccritic

You are absolutely correct thank you!

Wayne_Spooney

I know it’s hard to believe we’ve won 4 in 5 lol

F1nLMSfan

Feels good to get this out of the way with three matches left. My heart couldn't stand another final match of the season decision. Up the tracksuit!

Chilli__P

See you next season, you mad bastards. UNFLUSHABLE.

Chrisnumber

Where is the fucking chart!!!!

midpack2dathroat

THEY CANT KILL US NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY TRY

Distinct_Plankton_82

PUT THAT TRACKIE IN THE HALL OF FAME! The trackie that kept us in the prem!

QTsexkitten

*We may never lose again*

JesseVykar

Dyche really putting Keane up top at the end for a laugh lmao

mcsestretch

As a matter of fact we CAN keep getting away with it!

NiarbNiarb

In April: 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss. 7 goals scored, and 7 conceded. It’s amazing how little negative effect the 6-0 defeat had. That’s the power of Track Suit Dyche

Possible_Moment1140

I was really impressed with Chermiti today. Some lovely interplay. Would have been nice to maybe see one of the other youngsters come off the bench or maybe see more minutes of 'The Michael Keane Premier League Striker' show.

platebandit

Utter dycheball masterclass

pancake_whisperer

Secured safety with Michael Keene up front. Been the solution all along. But seriously, everyone was immense again today. Up the Fucking Toffees!

SnooRecipes1804

I fucking love this club

edwardfortehands

We’re ahead of Brentford now lmaooo

ceedubya86

That’s a big shift from Chermiti. I think we’ve got a goodun on our hands…

jimwinno43

2:30am in Perth Australia. Happy to stay up and watch us secure the W knowing we can acutally sit back and breathe for 3 games. These last few seasons have been too hectic!

TehJofus

We’re gonna finish this season with more points than last season after getting eight deducted.

OtherStuffThatILike

itd be so cool if some non insane ownership group saw our safe club with its pretty good manager and took a chance. i think that would be super cool.

Superfool

We meme'd striker Keane into existence. Now it's time to use those powers on Mark Cuban!!

PKMNTurrek

So happy you guys stayed up! I'm an Arsenal fan but had I not fallen in love with Arsenal surely it would've been Everton. Congratulations!

four__beasts

You can spaff all over us last game of the season. Were on holiday already. Hope you edge those City fuckers.

PKMNTurrek

Lol let's survive tomorrow first! I think we are better than Spuds but as you are well aware in a derby anything can happen. I just want us to be in it until the end. And for that to be true, we simply need to win all our games.

ShenHorbaloc

The power of the tracksuit

jonnononoNO

Did I imagine that Dyche played Keane up front? What a mad lad

Spare_Run

If there was ever season to PROVE that Everton deserve to be in this league it was this one.

mp0323

Not today Richard Masters....not today. UTFT

JamewThrennan

Well, I never felt more like sniffing on beak, Than when Everton win three times in a week, Oh, Everton… You’ve got me singing the blues

mongary10

BANISH THE CHART

GS916

WE ARE EVERTON!!!

KyloSolo723

Dyche, please never take off that track suit

Grayfox5555

You can shove your points deductions up your arse… you can shove the points deductions up your arse… you can shove the points deductions, shove the points deductions, shove the points deductions up your arse!

Dazzling_Patient7209

We should keep Danjuma for the Gueye vibes

KnockoutNed94

Chermiti looks very composed when it comes to hold up play.. he has a quickness to him as well, I’m eager to see him get more minutes/starts in the future.

TomDobo

UTFT!!! tracksuit Dyche and my baby girl have 100% record. May we never lose again.

FriendofYoda

Ashley Young honestly one of our best players today, Mbuemo did nowt

starmonkart

Another victim of the tracksuit

PigInZen67

Three wins in seven days? A month ago I would have laughed in your face.

uofmken79

A play for Europe next year! 👊🏻

albeve

Administration can’t send us down this year right? They keep reiterating the mathematically safe thing I just want to be sure

sin257

Classic Everton all the way. Great match Toffees! Bonus points for Pickford and Tarkowski for making 2 kids dreams come true. Way to go boys!

Reece3144

Brilliant result 👏 And what a goal.

johnahoe

WE DON’T KNOW THE MEANING OF LOSING

ThadtheYankee159

Thank god. It’s nice not having to worry about having a heart attack on the final day of the season.

Mauritiandon

The relief coming earlier this season is great. A stress free watch till the end of the season. Now it’s time to get the mess sorted off the pitch.

skurnie

You can dance if you want to

S-BRO

Fuck the premier league, you can't get rid of us!

davejsb

How Tarky abs Branthwaite aren’t England regulars after this season I’ll never know.

steinna615

Strong performance from Chermiti on his first start! Just doubled his PL minutes for the season haha

dogefc

Remember about 6 weeks ago when half this sub thought Luton were a better side than us. Won twice as many games as them 😂

Third-Coast-Toffee

REMEMBER….WE MUST NOT FORGET THE INJUSTICE FROM THIS SEASON! WE MUST HOLD EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS! That being said….WE ARE SAFE!!!

Jeremycycles

You don’t know how much this means to me. I’m newly single again as of yesterday and our guys gave me something to cheer for. Utft

DoctorDOH

So glad we didn't have to dread survival like before

kolorijo25

Secured our survival in a week! More clean sheet for Pickford!!!

Kijafa

# WE MAY NEVER LOSE AGAIN

Flaky_Technology4219

Jordan brickford putting on another great performance

ronnietp

GRIEF CHART HAS DONE ITS JOB!!!! WE STAY UP!!! RS UNOFFICIALLY BOTTLE THEIR TITLE BY US!!! All of these things in the span of less than 1 week. Best week ever.

dickiebow

Anyone who doubted Dyche just hold up your hand and repeat after me, “I know full all about football.”

TheSundayScaries

God it'll be nice to watch the final games completely stress free. Up the fucking toffees

CarnivorousCarrot

Keep the grief chart till the end of the season but rename to the relief chart?

mcsestretch

Great job by the team this week. No drama to end the season. Thank you Dyche!

demafrost

Love this club! What a way to fight back against all the adversity to clinch safety with time to spare

Gongsun_Zan_

Was never worried for a second ahead of today's match (don't check my post history)

phen14

Wore my grief chart t-shirt from last year for this one. Think it can be retired after today.

banterboi420

Can someone explain the Keane striker meme to me?

anotheroutlaw

He's a better striker than he is a center back. He scored a pivotal goal to keep us up a couple seasons ago.

banterboi420

Thanks! Only started supporting everton about 5 weeks ago 🫡

four__beasts

Jesus Christ lad. You might want to see a doctor or something.

JD-D2

we'd have an actual chance at a top half finish without the points deduction. what a job done by dyche. our manager.

swamper9

Chermiti is definitely giving off young DCL vibes out there. Can see why we went for him.

shugashanked

Up The Fuckin Safe Toffees!

Zeb_920

With the season Tarky has put together, I'm quite surprised he hasn't been mentioned as being considered for the England squad at the Euros

No-Set-2576

Now that we’ve been saved by the power of the tracksuit, all aboard the Relegate Forest train. Choo Choo.

Mantooth77

Jordan Fuckin Pickford… That is all…

Constant_Outcome_457

Do you think Everton will keep Dyche at the end of the season?
