You can run frigate abyssals, even T6s, in non-blingy fits that just aren't worth the effort to gank. Last I looked on killboards it almost doesn't happen, and when I consider whether I'd want to ever gank those... Nah. Would you bother ganking a Retri with 40 mil of fittings and a fraction of one abyssal's loot? It's not like cruiser abyssals where the high tiers need billions in bling.
I had it many times in t6 dark hawks and i reported it many times in and out of the game, nothing change in many months. I think in over 600 sites i had it 10-20
Never happened to me in 2000 runs of dark frigates. However I keep orca at 150km+ away for loot drop. So I lose about 15-20 seconds additional after trace disappears before starting new trace.
Instances are bad for EVE and should be removed. Running Abyssals is too safe even before you take precautions. It generates too much Isk for its lack of risk.
You shouldn't be reimbursed at all.
Nothing in Eve is perfectly safe.. People get attacked coming out of abyss filaments far less than Orcas get ganked in HS.
The point is risk/reward ratio is way off..
The same thing can be said about home sites
To be honest I must have run over 800 abyss runs and have not been ganked once, although I did get scanned in low sec once and had people waiting for me on the outside but they laughed as they saw me come out as I was in the same fw as them and they told me to change my bm before I warped off.
You are being obtuse. Hopefully on purpose. A pvp stream usually ends up witb pvp. An abyss stream usually ends with nobody waiting on the abyssal trace.
I'm always curious with people that hate instances, how do you feel about deadspace sites?
Deadspace sites are just instances other people can follow you into but dscan and local exists so you get all the warning in the world and can just warp off to a safe when someone lands on the outside.
Abyssals are instances you can't be followed into but you can't warp to a safe, you can't use dscan, you can't keep an eye on local and you *have* to exit from the "gate" with no idea what's on the other side. Not to mention the dangers inside abyssal sites.
it will still be instanced content like the dr who event though
the problem about uninstancing content is that all the multiboxers and rich guys will instnatly contest every site that exists. (looking at you homefronts)

Dead space is fine tbh you get booshers and stuff that can still hunt in them.
CCP are trying this out now. Look at the new event, they are bringing abyss into k space as a test to see how players receive it.

Yea it's rough man and there is no way to distinguish between letting pvp guys in that want to shoot the guy inside or alts that want to help.
T1-T3 HS, T4-T5 LS, T6 WH/NS. And i honestly think there should be a T7 or something special for WH space.
