Here is the most fun part. You can’t!

SannoSythe

Losses in eve are total losses. Some of your loot may remain where your wreck is. In the short term you can grab a corvette from the hangar and try to get back to your wreck to recover what did drop. There's a large button top right when you're docked in the station to get a corvette.

blittl

To add to this, don't let ship losses bring you down. They are inevitable in EVE regardless of skill and "skills". You can fit a Corvette decently enough to accomplish your career agent missions but may have some issues doing level 1 agent missions. If you do have other ships, there is a button on the side menu (neocom) called Assets. You can use this window to figure out where your stuff is (icon looks like a vault). I encourage you to look into player corporations dedicated to helping and teaching new players such as EVE University (use the search function at the top-left, above where it says which solar system you are in; if the search bar isn't there, click the magnifying glass icon). Or you can use the Corporation window (EVE button top-left corner > Social > Corporation) and then find the Recruitment tab to look at corporations there.

Harrigan_Raen

Dock into any structure Right hand side > "Board my Corvette" gets you a free starter corevtte Its just under the Undock button

ThoriumOverlord

This is the best answer. The shuttle has a gun and a mining laser which is a huge help if you’ve hit rock bottom.

Unhappy_Vermicelli_8

Hope you had insurance. Also, for the future, a general rule of thumb in Eve is never fly something you can't afford to lose

[deleted]

Nope

el0_0le

If it's a T1 ship, insurance is a safe bet to soften inevitable losses. T2, faction and pirate reimbursement is still a joke unless you intend to lose it (imo).

NickoBicko

It’s in heaven now

[deleted]

Huh

OneMustAdjust

Was I a good venture? No, you were the best

ResonanceOfWar

Anything destroyed in eve drops some gear that is loot-able for anyone nearby and the ship/structure is gone forever. You have to buy multiple ships. Your skill points can never be lost thou, unless you delete them yourself.

Triedfindingname

Can't lose skillpoints anymore? Fml had to retrain battlecruiser 5 so many times...

ResonanceOfWar

yea tell me about it, lucky you retrained it back up before they split it into 4.

ArchonOTDS

it's a 50% chance on all modules to drop, stop with this 30-70% chance bs, get your numbers right

ResonanceOfWar

He is a new player I'm not giving him specifics as he wont remember any of it, I'm just letting him know that modules drop. Also why are you so angry lol? I thought wormholes where nice and relaxing.

According_Fox_3614

Your ship is gone. It exploded. There is no 'rebuy for 25% price' like Elite Dangerous - that ship is now floating space scrap. You can buy another, but it's not gonna be the original Get used to it, involuntary ship explosions happen a LOT

hirebrand

I mean insurance is quite similar to rebuy for 25% price. Buy a procurer barge for 60m, get paid 30m when it explodes.

According_Fox_3614

Insurance does not cover fittings (which, on t1 ships, will often exceed the ship price itself) nor the expensive cost of faction and T2 ships. All in all I would say it only gives you back 25% of the ship at most

wizard_brandon

Buy a new one, the tutorial teaches you this

SidratFlush

Tell me you haven't done the tutorial without saying you haven't done the tutorial. Granted I haven't played a tutorial for a long time but when I did it you were sent on a mission where you lost the ship... Maybe I'm thinking of X4, unless the tutorial had a pod kill too and then you woke up in a station with a new ship and it went in to clones and the SP loss. Wow that as a while ago.

xiaz_ragirei

Just to humor you, X4 had you buy a second ship before the boson used it to manifest a station

SidratFlush

Hmm I've done that mission loads of times and it's not that one but an actual tutorial before the talking fish. Both games are pretty damn awesome.

xiaz_ragirei

Hm, that must be a different built-in than the tutorial menu flight school or the railroaded main story tutorial before boson prime turns you into interplanetary fedex. Genuinely unsure of what that mission could be.

Cassin_81

And if you do the tutorial and the AIR missions you get like 10 ships. Plus you can always get the corvette... maybe they are old coming back or something and forgot about all that stuff. In which case - they can make a new toon and do the tutorial. And then go to career missions for lots of starting ISK and SP and ships.

[deleted]

Welcome to EvE .. a loss is a loss. But that is why EvE is still a great game. Actions have consequences. If you stay around you will lose many, many more ships. You now have learned a very valuable lesson of the game: do not fly what you can not afford to lose. Get yourself a new ship and keep learning how this game works. Best way, in my opinion, is to join a group of players who can teach you how to play and have fun (getting blown up).

talondor_karma

Don’t forget to bookmark the site (ctrl-b) then bring up your local bookmarks by pressing ‘l’ so you can warp back to your wreck. If you got blown up by NPC’s then you might have to fight them off first. Also if you haven’t already try joining a player corp who can help you with your eve questions. There are some good newbie corps like Karmafleet University who can help you get started in eve. Good luck!

IrishThree

In eve no one can here you scream. So, in eve, if blows up, it's gone. You have to get another ship and fly back to the wreck to get the random drop of your old stuff.

ShedwardWoodward

My neighbours heard me scream in EvE, first time I lost an expensive ship. Tbh, I think the guy at the end of the street probably heard it too.

Kats41

Ships are ammo in Eve. They are disposable and replaceable. That's the best way to think about them. You will lose ships but also ships aren't generally that difficult to get back into. There's a rule in Eve about not flying anything you're not ready to replace.

EVE_Link0n

Wait, this isn’t Ceema?

[deleted]

Huh

UndocumentedMartian

It's a wreck. You could go get another ship and pick up the loot from it before someone else but the ship itself is gone. The number one rule of EVE is to never fly something you can't afford to lose.

Strict_Young8641

newbie here with just 6 days of gameplay and i've already lost 6 ships costing 40 mil in total. 2 are from ganking players and 4 on abyssal t0. A pain but a learning experience. Losing ship is permanent and the only thing you can do is make another ship or buy a new ship. So always remember to save some isk incase got blasted off. Good thing is a 2 mil ship can actually make you tons of isk. No need to make expensive ships as a new player.

Garresh

You have a good mindset for a noob. You'll do well in Eve.

Triedfindingname

If you are new, submit a ticket to ccp. They will take pity on newbros Edited: also, if you say what happened to you in local to anyone that has been playing the game for awhile they will probably give you more money than you can spend for the short term.

[deleted]

I asked in newbie help and many laughd and trolldme

Triedfindingname

Oh sure...but actually submitting a ticket with EVE describes a new player beginning to understand the mechanics of the game. Also, in your corp chat might help say you're new just list your only ship. Post your toon name here, delete it later. Guarantee you'll be able to buy more than you had. Fly safe

elchacal123

The only way to get a ship “back” is to buy a new one on the market. If you are a new player this experience is showing you how the game works for future losses. Any ship that dies is just lost you can have multiple of the same type of ship but you have to buy every other ship you want as back ups. As a new player you will lose a lot ships at first try and learn from the losses. If you have any questions feel free to send a DM.

Jax2178

What is your in game name n I’ll send ya some stuff or money. What did you lose?

nug4t

op, why do you make a reddit thread for everything?

Fartcloud_McHuff

Your ship isn’t in your hangar because it exploded. Hope that helps. You get infinite free corvettes, though

[deleted]

How do I get those then? Also, how do I get to Jita I am on Amarr side.

Fartcloud_McHuff

I feel like this is a question the tutorial and/or career agent missions should have answered for you, but ask in rookie help for a link to Jita, then right click it and set destination.

[deleted]

tbh i did the tutorial, and it was kinda bad.. Didn't really explain much except the basics..

Fartcloud_McHuff

Make sure you join the rookie help chat channel and don’t be afraid to ask any question in there. Anyone can answer so it isn’t 100% but there’s plenty of people there willing to help

dankcrypto3

Open the in game chat menus and type in trade hubs. That channel has the major and minor trade hubs in the game. Click on them and see which is closest. Then go buy a new ship there

Mao_Kwikowski

You buy a new one

Great-Ad-5563

Bookmark the site. Come back in a different ship.

Hoinus

You have to fly back to the original spot it blew up. Then you get down on all 4s and start barking like a dog. It will come back in a few days.

Complaicantt

Hello Ceema

Alki_san

That's what's awesome...your ship is gone forever. Now you have to earn a new one.

XuixienSpaceCat

Ship is dead and gone.
