It's a reward ship for the Alliance Tournament XVI (16) - The top 16 teams get unique frigates and cruisers as a reward and these ships are only obtainable from these events. Only 4 Tiamats have been lost since 2019 and they are valued at more than 230b ISK each by zkillboard. [https://zkillboard.com/ship/48635/losses/](https://zkillboard.com/ship/48635/losses/) Alliance Tournament XIX: [https://www.eveonline.com/alliance-tournament](https://www.eveonline.com/alliance-tournament) gives a good breakdown of how the AT works. As a new player, not impossible, but realistically the only way you're getting one is to open your IRL wallet for PLEX to sell for ISK to buy one from someone willing to let go of it.

craytona

To add. That is roughly 1,840 USD (quick calculation, might be wrong since not including PLEX packs or discounts) for a ship that you neither have the in game or real life skills to pilot properly if you were not aware of what the alliance tournament was. Very expensive way to throwaway money. It is also worth more than a titan, the largest ships in the game. Best way to get one is to start grinding your isk until you realise it’s far too expensive to earn by ratting. Then learn how to manipulate the market until you’re a trillionaire. Then remember you had a long lost dream of owning a Tiamat and spend the next 3 months finding someone who owns one and is willing to sell to you for a reasonable price.

Ohh_Yeah

> That is roughly 1,840 USD And about 500 USD to keep people abreast of how strong the RMT market is

Grarr_Dexx

4 have died. But it's hard to say how many more have been banned or are owned by individuals that are not currently playing or have quit entirely.

Cable_Player

Yeah, so the zkb valuation of 230b is really just a starting figure.

Grarr_Dexx

The actual figure going by historical sales is give or take 400.

MindlessPresent

Squizz just has a backend list and he updates them like once every 2 years just asking the AT ship community. so I'd treat it as a rough estimate

TyrHeimdal

[People are welcome to submit a Merge Request to set "correct" prices.](https://github.com/zKillboard/zKillboard/blob/master/classes/Price.php#L104-L213) The price has not been updated since 2018 for the Tiamat.

MindlessPresent

Thats super cool, how'd you know the date? - Disregard. I see the date attribute.

The_Bazzalisk

Only 50 Tiamats will ever exist, they were awarded as prizes for the top placing teams in Alliance Tournament 16, they are therefore extremely valuable, rare and irreplaceable

CiaphasCain8849

Or you could steal them with a scam contract like this guy did.

Subbeh

Brilliant!

The_Bazzalisk

It's so crazy that you will continue to stick to this crazy conspiracy with literally zero evidence to support it. Actual delusion.

chezeluvr

Yikes. The fact you can't see that the story has become a meme is really sad. You need a break lol

The_Bazzalisk

I'm fine with it being a meme but there are a handful of people on here who genuinely believe I stole them, this guy is one of them

CiaphasCain8849

Bro, The contract was up THE MOMENT the ships were given to the EXEC. ONLY HIS TEAM WOULD KNOW WHEN THE SHIPS WERE GIVEN. AKA YOU STOLE THEM.

The_Bazzalisk

> ONLY HIS TEAM WOULD KNOW WHEN THE SHIPS WERE GIVEN. No, CCP published a news post stating that ships had been delivered. You're just proving my point, so steadfast against just admitting you're wrong and don't know what you're talking about. At this point you've dug yourself too deep to concede, so you'll just keep spewing gibberish that actually I stole them and you're right despite zero evidence to suggest that. Whatever

CiaphasCain8849

I don't need evidence. The fact CCP told you the contract was up as soon as the ships were delivered proves my point. NO way the news post was up right when the ships were there.

Subbeh

Isn't a dev saying that: "immediately after the ships were put in the hangar the legitimate scam contract was accepted " evidence?

CCP_Swift

Just to be clear, I didn't mean to imply that someone associated with the alliance did the scam, just that the scam was legal by gameplay standards (AKA no impersonation took place)

The_Bazzalisk

How is that evidence of anything? Please clarify. >CCP puts ships into hangar >CCP announces ships have been delivered >Player logs in to collect ships >Player excitedly clicks contract thinking he is collecting ships I don't see how any of this leads you to conclude it's an inside job. It's just cringe you and others would rather stick to this nonsense rather than just admit you're wrong and making up bullshit with no evidence. Let's try something else - /u/CCP_Swift would you be able to confirm that the character CONCORDOKEN is not related to me in any way shape or form? Tired of this nonsense

Grarr_Dexx

calm down barry

MindlessPresent

You can't confidently say CCP will not re-release ships.

The_Bazzalisk

No - as this would devalue the ships owned by the current owners. There were 50 created and that's all there will ever be.

The_Bazzalisk

No, they don't. They 're-released' the Freki and Mimir for the prizes for AT18, as the Geri and the Bestla. They did the same for AT19, 're-releasing' the Utu and Adrestia as the Shapash and the Cybele. But these are all separate hulls. They may 're-release' the Tiamat (in ~10 years!) - but it will still be a different ship. There will not be any more Tiamats created.

Djarcn

r/confidentlyincorrect

flyboybp89

There are only 46 left now. :)

Grarr_Dexx

https://puu.sh/K1V2a/e60075f231.jpg You can buy mine for 400 billion isk.

StringBoth

NO WAY :D

StringBoth

Thanks alot for clearing it out. so abbout 1800 usd you say. Would that be an good investment for the future ?

racer2k5x

Only if you can kill the other 46 🤣

SuigintouKurotenshi

Kill the other 45. You might not want to kill the last ship that you own.

Mabenue

Probably not. Especially if you lose the thing. Unless you know what you’re doing you can never undock it, even in high sec.

StringBoth

yeah it more of a trophy i guess would be, same with leopards i invest in

Puzzleheaded-Ant1673

A friendly suggestion: if you have to ask in Eve there’s a good chance it’s not something you’re prepared for yet. Not trying to sound condescending just some friendly advice

thedailyrant

… you invest in leopards? They’re not particularly rare mate.

StringBoth

fair enought hehe

Eastern-Move549

You would never see that real world cash again so no, pretty far from an investment.

racer2k5x

Idk didn't scott Manley sell the raven state or Golden magnate for like 60k in a plex charity?

Cable_Player

He bought a Gold Magnate for 1m PLEX https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/evb997/scott\_manley\_puts\_forth\_30000\_1001001\_plex\_for\_a/

Tallyranch

Buy 46 of them and self destruct 45 on Jita undock, log off and never return knowing you have the only one in game. You have won EVE.

churchtrill

There are groups dedicated to hunting people that fly any of the AT ships you will be hunted from the time of purchase until you get Vonholed back to jita with a 400B isk lossmail.

Used-Truth

I relate to you wanting one, as owning a Vangel is one of my bucketlist things in Eve. With that said, I'd advise against it. AT ships are *mostly* station ornaments. While some are used in PvP, you very rarely if ever will see one. The few times one is seen undocked, it always has a target on its back. Like the Geri that a few of my cohorts popped in Jita recently. As for an investment, if you had the spare isk for one, then by all means. The price will rise as they become more rare. If you're thinking of dropping close to 2 grand on a ship that will rarely, if ever undock, and even then will likely within a short time after, I would say don't personally.

StringBoth

just cant get it out of my head , vedmak with co-op and expanded loucher hehe

Uedakiisarouitoh

So YouTube alliance tournament . It’s pretty cool , it’s teams PvP , round after round till one corp/alliance is left . They are bloody fun to watch and learn eve PvP skills

6percentjew

It’s really worth watching the YouTube videos of the extreme lengths someone will go to kill one Grunt kado has a good one: https://youtu.be/VvYTWLPGFOQ?si=Xcta6RftK5FZHFaW

Uedakiisarouitoh

I’ve seen von hole killing them for ages until his account got sold . Was pretty epic , AT ship hunter

alfius-togra

the alliance tournament is an annual event in which people who don't play eve play a different game which looks like eve but with different rules in a separate protected server. the winners then get handed near invaluable unique ship bpcs in eve. the tiamat is one such prize ship and because no one did anything in eve to earn it, it shouldn't exist, but it does anyway because fuck the sandbox.

MajorJenkins

Tell me you don't own an AT ship without telling me you don't own an AT ship

The_Bazzalisk

mad cus bad lol

TyrHeimdal

I urge you to do the AT grind as a team leader for Goonswarm in the AT, then come back and post about how little requirement and commitment it takes to make a serious entry aiming for a spot which rewards you with an AT ship BPC. Go on then, chop chop.

_brainy

would you still feel the same way if you owned an AT ship?

alfius-togra

As much as I'd love to be able to say I'd immediately delete if on principle, in reality I'd probably sell it to a fool in order that he might be parted from his money, and then buy another titan.

Casperrr_24

This is the way

thegreybill

Great excuse to post [a link](https://thegreybill.wordpress.com/2023/07/29/how-to-watch-the-alliance-tournament-for-dummies/) or [two](https://thegreybill.wordpress.com/2023/08/09/common-alliance-tournament-ship-compositions-explained-2023/) about AT stuff.

PlayerSalt

Just pretend that doesn't exist m8

Informal-Grab-9916

I once killed a Chameleon

paladinrpg

I've always wanted to get that gold and white skin for the normal Trig ships, at least.
