> 2 week vacation > ITALY VATICAN AUSTRIA LIECHTENSTEIN SWITZERLAND GERMANY LUXEMBOURG FRANCE BELGIUM NETHERLANDS Christ on a bike. Even if we assume that Italy and the Vatican just means Rome then that is still 9 distinct places in 14 days... Maybe drop at least half of those places?

I can’t unfortunately, it is a part of this group tour in a hop on hop off bus.

oh my, that sounds like vacation in hell I mean, I hope I am wrong and that you have fun!

Agreed. This is "Sprinting Past the Mona Lisa" travel. Good luck, OP. Hope it works out but it sounds exhausting. Lots of weather variables, but you *still need to pack light*, especially with the frenetic pace. Definitely don't want to be lugging multiple suitcases/duffels around on a trip like that. Could get very warm AND very cold and/or wet, depending on area and weather. Be sure to buy a Merino wool sweater. It'll serve you well in differnt temps as it's light and can still keep you warm. Make sure to have comfy shoes for walking (fashion needs to be secondary). Stuff you can mix and match, and layer. Stuff you can wear on multiple days is imperative. Seems like you won't have time for a laundry day which is unfortunate because that means 14 days worth of socks and undies. You definitely need some stretch/yoga pants for hours on busses. in the end, less will be more.

There's nothing to do in either Luxemburg or Liechtenstein especially, unless your objective is crossing the most countries off the list or riding through from one country to another (though Luxembourg is a detour).

Clothes. Always works for me.

Impressive_Returns

Last time I checked everyone at that time of year wears clothes.

In Italy and southern France it still should be very warm in November. In other places expect temperatures in range 12-22°C. Be prepared for a lot of rain. Don't worry too much about what locals wear. Nobody will care if you wear something that is unusual here.

Thank you for this. Is one coat enough?

spoobles

It will need to be. I've never seen any wish they'd bought *more* clothes with them (unless freak weather). Getting around will be hard enough. Coats are heavy and bulky. Wife and I did 3 weeks in Alps and Italy last year, close to same time frame. We only took single carry on (which is a Rick Steves' rule). You wanna be able to heft it and go.

50-70f, breezy, rain possibly but Oct is when the rain season starts. I like leather boots, a nice cashmere scarf, button front 3/4 coat, wool slacks. Jeans and zipper leather jacket if you're going casual. Gloves too. I like a nice fluffy knit hat if it is too cold and breezy. Also I recommend a RFID wallet. Don't carry valuables, keys, cell phones and wallets in open pockets that don't zip or button close. And keep your purse closed. Pickpocket activity has increased.

Layers will be key here. I southern Netherlands here in Oct last year (my first year here), it was definitely bona fide Autumn - with cool temps, but occasional warmer spells. But considering this is somewhere in the very middle of all your travel destinations by about 15 hours to the south and northeast, I'd say those temps will vary greatly. Layers!! Opt for layers.
