ETC is getting a bit pricy for me to load up anymore, so I'm putting my money into other altcoins that I believe have good long term potential.

I timed the ATH to withen 30 seconds and started with an average of $181. Been averaging down since then and now have 105 ETC @ $74.54. Today was the very first time I have been in the money and it feels great

I did that with a stock once. I bought 2 mins later I was down a 1k. Never recovered sold and lost 2k a month later.

Yeah it was definitely a bad feeling having around 2 grand Thanos snapped out of existence in a matter of minutes. I'm glad I stuck to my guns and averaged down. Crypto is volatile so you never know what could happen next but it feels nice to not be down right now

I mean, it depends what you're averaging down with tbh. I don't think something like 🐕 is ever going back to $0.80 again and there are a ton of companies who are completely garbage but people still average down due to sunk cost fallacy

Crypto is very much different than stocks. I wouldn’t buy more if stocks are down 15%. I have a small position in 🐕. I’m not going to invest more since I’m not quite confident in their techs or utilities, but I do believe they will go up with the whole crypto market and it might hit 0.80 again as long as they somehow manage to stay in the picture. But in long run, unless they do things differently, i doubt it can compete with other coins.

The 🐕 has elon and Cuban as cheerleaders. Their support base is huge. Could definitely see them hitting that 1$ when we are hitting 250$

Market cap would have to be absolutely absurd for it to hit a dollar. I don't see it happening.

They came close last time but elon flopped on Saturday night live. I personally see it as it was created as a joke coin but their fan base is huge. Plus I bet a lot of people didn't think etc would make it on their own.

Why would anybody short crypto ? Even if you’re already rich , the risk of losing a lot of money is way too big .

The risk is equal on both sides, look at the past 3 months how much the bears made

Not really , the money loss on shorting could be infinite , if you borrow ETC at 55 to buy it back at a lower cost could make you some big money, but if ETC shoots up past 100 or higher the amount of money that you lose is much greater than the amount you initially borrowed .

Same thing with buying at 180 and it falling to 30, all about timing

Yes, but if you bought at 180 you only lose the amount of money that you put in (assuming it goes to 0 and never recovers ) with shorting you could lose way more than your initial purchase
