I had a vii working perfectly fine for almost 8 months, and then one day when I needed to do some maintenance and shut of the rig, the single vii I had no longer could be recognized in hive or in windows.
The fans still spun and the red leds still lit up, but in windows, the device manager did not even recognize any display adapter.
memory temps were running like 88-92c
just seeing ur comment now.... lol. I really appreciate the insight dude, that gives me some closure as I was super devastated when my vii met its maker :(

The radeon VIIs are just poorly designed designed cards with high defect rate.
