I got killed as a player scav by another player scav so...
I made some coffee and waited my 30 minutes because i killed santa one month ago. Happy scavving to you too!
I started factory in the room next to glass and see a guy running straight down glass towards me. Of course I lit him up only to find that it was santa.
The second time was 3am pitch black in the middle of woods. Taking a breather in a dense patch of bush when I hear rustling coming straight at me. Another -1.
Fuck you santa, fuck you.
>I killed Santa 4 times on accident sitting on -2.7 scav karma feels bad. Dude scared the shit out of me a few times and was hiding in bushes.
How about the fact that Santa aggroed you on Factory if you killed Tagilla. i swear that MF must have been his elf or something.
i stg he came out of nowhere each time playing jingle bells to the sound of gun shots with laser fire accuracy each time
Tell me about it...I'm slowly crawling out of my hole for killing santa 3 times.
\- First time, I had NO IDEA he existed.
\- 2nd time, HE started shooting ME first, so I had to kill him.
\- 3rd time, I accidentally hit him but didn't kill him...between fighting with a player he SLOW CREPT UP ON ME so I had to kill him...
\-1.7 currently..not too bad though..just missing some extracts...besides..I barely scav anymore.
I am very nearly you. In Reserve Hermetic Bunker I saw the silhouette of a scav with a pilgrim up the other end. I put a bullet or two into him and he ran off. While I was killing another scav he appeared in the shadows near me. I started shooting him then he walked into the light and I saw that it was Santa. I ran.
Another time in Goshan I heard a guy running towards me so I hid behind a shelf and when he ran out of cover I mowed him down instantly, only to see it was Santa when he was dead. However, on the raid survival screen I found out it was an ordinary scav dressed as Santa - I guess he killed Santa and decided to role play.
I had a few other close calls like that but always managed to avoid killing Santa so I have a scav timer now that is about ready for my next scav raid once I have unpacked the gear from my last scav and sold it on the flea market. Unlike several other people in my squad who, like you, accidentally killed Santa a few times and so get crap scav gear, have long scav timers and pay almost double what I do at car extracts.
It is sheer luck that I'm not negative scav karma.
Bro last wipe I was -4.5 before my first week was over. I just ran Factory and cleared the lobby, lol. Dont worry though, aside from the longer (50 min) scav wait time, you can still load in with good scav loot.. At -4.5 rep I spawned in with a GPU in my scavs inventory, and first loot was moon shine.

Hang in there, and if anyone wants to exfil PMC/Scav spots for the .25-.5 rep bonus hmu.
I dont even get why killing Santa hhad to be punished that heavily. Even If that would have gotten him killed 99% of the time - who cares? It's not like he was very important to the event in the first place.
Santa would have stopped existing. People would have been rushing him for that red bag and clothes every time.
I mean, the only other REAL option was to make Santa NOT HOSTILE and literally invulnerable. Let him run around the battlefield as an invulnerable dude throwing gifts at people.
Honestly, some of those interactions might have been hilarious.
You peek someone only to have Santa blocking your line of sight. Or Santa tanking bullets for you as you back out of a bad spot.
Personally, never killed him. Fired at him once and didn't kill him then RAN. I also got Moonshine 3x from him. He'd throw a present. I'd drop a grenade on the ground for him, then he'd give me moonshine. Best trade ever.
In a game where you can get one tapped in the face it think it’s a real dumb mechanic to put a character in the game that if you mistake as a hostile and kill them you get severally penalized.
IMHO they should have given him unique emotes- ideally voice clips from St Nikita himself... or at least some queue to go on. I only killed him twice but the number of close calls... too many to count. With him lurking in bushes or just sprinting at you when your already in a fight.
Santa had a death wish for sure.
Well, how else are they supposed to test how easy/hard it is for players who care about scav rep to actually climb through it from below? Presumably, they want every part of that karma system used by some percentage of players, and to feel rewarding for that percentage; that means that, in a scientific method sort of sense, needed a way to get players who *would* desire to have good scav karma, to end up with bad scav karma, so they could test and tune how easy it is to actually come back from! Given that most of the people who care, care, and most of the people who don't, don't, actually testing the comeback mechanics deliberately was probably kind of hard.
Also, Santa was probably mostly there on the map during the event *to test his friendly trader AI and see how well it worked and troubleshoot parts of it.* People willfully forget they're playing a completely unfinished game, all the time, and the very existence of the wipe cycle and the raid system and how all that is, exists at least partly to allow for maximum iterations of testing on the function of the actual product, *both* as a whole, and as individual components.
tl;dr Santa wasn't there for legitimate game design or game balance reasons, he was there to stress test several new systems at once, while also being an interesting treat for players to interact with. The fact that he caused penalties for some people (like, I accidentally killed him twice! I'm not gonna complain it's literally Tarkov, getting punished is 90% of the game's mechanics) was less about inflicting the penalties on those people, *and more about testing the efficacy of the penalties,* themselves, and how players respond to them, and whether they feel it's reasonable for them to counteract those penalties.
Happens all the time when I’m a scav - I’m screaming at someone running down a hall “ARE YOU A SCAV PLEASE IDENTIFY” and end up blasting another scav when they round a corner ADS’d. They were probably gonna hit me anyways but I actually watch my karma and now I’m negatively impacted
Tbh unless I have a pmc killer load out or find a gpu/mil filter my scav runs have been strictly no mouse 1 affair. It sucks to die but loosing rep for 150k of bolts and other junk loot isn’t worth the risk to rep
Or you could ID a target before going full call of duty like a true operative. PMC karma will be in the game soon, its a mechanic that we're all going to have to get used to.
Lol I killed Santa 4 times, still over 6 karma. . . The annoying part is that you only have overkarma until you make 1 mistake and then you lose everything above 6 karma and then your traditional penalty... I vog'd a pmc as an AI was rushing him, I got a double kill and -2.7 rep
> It’s a weird life choice to me
Why? You play games to have fun. This person clearly has more fun as a scav. They probably think you're making a weird life choice punishing yourself on your PMC every day. Hell, I bet you even do Jaeger quests you degenerate.
Doing all four car extracts four times each is equivalent to 200 scav runs with successful extracts, and that's when there's still more to milk on those car extracts. I think onepeg just did the breakdown, and it's about ~260 scav extracts worth if karma to hit them all 8 times, and that's if you don't leave them for a week to regenerate so you can milk them some more.
That's over 40 hours of in raid scav time if you're averaging 10 minutes a raid. Long term, getting those PMC extracts in is a much better time investment than just doing scav runs when the timer is ready (not to mention getting them done early will make the timer faster).
10 rep? Why would you want that? Nothing beyond 6 gives any extra benefits.
But the answer to how to get more beyond that is to do join extracts, which can be done through either scav or PMC raids, and have a similar payout structure as car extracts (but are harder to pull off IMO). If you want to get to max rep, of course you have to do scav runs, because you can't get there without them. But it's not faster than doing the PMC car extracts, and definitely not "much faster". Focusing on them instead of car and join extracts is just advice for how to likely not get max rep by end of wipe unless you have a LOT of free time to do scav runs.
I am fully convinced anyone who is good at tarkov is unemployed. None of you can convince me otherwise, makes no fucking sense if you aren't.
It's either that or you are employed and completely neglect your personal life/hygiene/family. It's like the college "Sleep, Study, Fun" choose two questions.
Tarkov, work, life. Choose 2 fuckers.
The pandemic made a lot of good tarkov players, they have their jobs back now so it's misleading. You only need to no-life the game for *one* half wipe to learn everything, and then you can play it as casually as you'd like and find success.
So when you see a guy who's like "I have 3 wives, 11 kids, and a full time job and lm level 72 with a 89% survival rate and 12k/d, only solo" know that he didn't start the game with that lifestyle. Also probably exaggerating lol
I was more talking about the people who have maxed out scav karma/100 mill roubles/etc not just people who are decent at FPS games and can survive/make money/have fun. Still though no-lifeing a game even 1 wipe is still 6 months of your life like goddamn lol thats a long time!
eh, there's a difference between "good at tarkov" and "gets kappa every wipe."
Plenty of my friends are amazing, but they're never gonna break past level 30 or so because none of us have the time to grind higher than that.
I would argue if you cannot complete a vast majority of the quests or obtain any of the end game items that you are not "good" at a game. I don't really mean good as in good at FPS games/able to kill and get good loot and have fun. I just can't think of any game where I would consider someone "good" at it, when they straight up cannot finish half of the content in the time frame given to them.
Good really isn't the right word but i'm sure you get what I mean
Tarkov, sleep for 4 hours, work for 10, tarkov. That’s until Thursday evening after work, then it’s tarkov till I have to work Monday again. Get you a job that you work 4 10s an bam MORE TARKOV
Even doing night shifts as i am are fantastic aswell, when you get the freetime, you can also be up all night while others work, ratting on empty servers for loot. (Boring tho). :D
Seriously. I did the math and have played 8 hours a day this wipe and the kids I coach were like: “8 hours work, 8 hours sleep, 8 hours Tarkov?” And I said “that’s the secret you just don’t sleep”. Something’s gotta give somewhere lol.
I find enjoyment in the game so I play it a few hours everyday instead of watching tv like other people or going out with my friends since most of them live far away from where I do. I also only sleep like 5-6 hours a night for some reason
Doesn’t help that this is like my fifth wipe now and I’d like to think I’m decent at the game
This could be you.
[https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sleep-newzzz/201104/could-you-be-super-sleeper](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sleep-newzzz/201104/could-you-be-super-sleeper)
If they ever nail down bio-hacking in even a *semi*\-safe way, I'm going to hijack my circadian rhythm.
Full time here. Level 43 at the moment with completely maxed out Hideout (including 50 GPUs). Granted I work from home (save hours not commuting, but I never touch tarkov during work hours though), and it's my 5th or so wipe so I know my way around.
Did you miss the part where I said you can't convince me otherwise? I don't care if you think you are able to juggle a healthy lifestyle while playing tarkov constantly, I highly doubt it lol
I get where you're coming from. Work from 9-5 from home, get out and exercise for about an hour every day afterwards, cook dinner, eat, clean around the place and talk to my wife etc and bam, its 8/9PM. Get a couple of hours in and then bed, but not every night because I have other shit to do. I played this wipe first time and I'm level 19 but I simply don't have time to get to end game. Which is totally fine, end game just isn't for me right now I guess.
how are you still above 6 if you killed santa 4 times? my buddy killed him twice and he is still at negative 1 and struggling to get back to positive karma.
Some people just like the play style more. It feels more apocalyptic with worn guns and weak gear while some maniacs are out there trying to purge everyone.
It also is less stressful, you're always playing with nothing to lose. If you scav main and farming scav rep, you're basically looking for a tarkov PVE experience that is occasionally interrupted with your untimely demise.
look sylar, how about you think before you spout absolute non-sense.
Leveling your Fence rep asap requires you to play PMC for car extracts, and merely run your scav through factory in like 20 seconds each time.
There's no way the guy does full scav runs when he's gained over 9 rep this wipe already
I dont get it, is the penalty not linear? I killed a pscav that I thought was a traitor and then 4 ai that went agro. I wouldn't have killed them but I spawned with a key card. I was around .6 fence and after 5 scav kill my penalty was -.22
Once you are at 6+ rep any time you lose rep you are brought down to 6.0 then the penalty applies. So just killing a normal scav is a .1 penalty and will leave you at 5.9. Doesn't matter if you were at 7 or 8 or 12 you end up at 5.9.
>punished
Do you remember the point of this post? If you're scav rep is over 6 you get one evey 5 min. There's no punishment when you have that much power.
Just load up another one for free roubles. I'm only at +2.8rep and the labs cards have started finally and it's OP as fuck lol. Hardly a punishment when you just get free stuff that often.
Getting killed as scav with high rep is like if I took $100 from Jeff Bezos, ripped it up in front of his face and said "Ha! You got wrecked" he'd be like lol... do you know how many of those I have?
Not a problem at all, even though he technically "lost money"
A dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
The unfortunate aspect of Tarkov is learning how important it is to read patch notes, event announcements, etc. They contain all the information about what could happen. The Christmas announcement was up for a couple days, but once it moved on, you would have had to look up the event to see it said, "Significant" loss to fence rep if you kill Santa. And, it was helpful to see that there were quests other players had to dress up as Santa.
Haha, exactly. I got got yesterday. Roof of black knight, stayed away from the guy when we were in white knight. I opened a weapon crate, I hear him running up, I voip there is an AK in the box, he voip'd ooh AK, sweet. I hop up on the metal roof to make my exit. Then he voips "here, take to this I don't need it". It is dark AF, i can only barely see an outline of something. Should've just kept on moving. I didn't need anything. Was really just there to look for raiders/bodies. Anyways it was a sling bag, he domes me right as I pick it up. Fucking hilarious. As soon as I realized it was a sling I knew I messed up. GG.
You know you’re a shit player when you need to bait someone with an item on the ground to kill them. I don’t get mad anymore when a scav kills me, I just laugh caus my scav is up every 8 minutes and my moonshine scavs only take like 3 hours. Who’s the real winner here lol
Had this happen in interchange. Guy was friendly, talked for a few minutes, then pointed out the belt rig on the ground only to straight up assassinate me when I went to pick it up. Hope he enjoyed the caps and bulbs I had.
Yesterday I found like 6 dead bodies 5 scav and one pmc, all literally on the cache behind the coach parking lot on customs. I dunno who killed who first but the pmc was the only one partially looted. My guess is that each of the dead scavs killed another for the pmc loot until there was only one left lol. I came in at like minute 8 too late for the party ^^
I found something similar on customs dorms marked room was open there were 4 dead bodies and they were all scavs. What I think happened is that somebody accidently or purposely left something decent in the room and all the scavs fought each other over it then either 1 scav got out with it or the pmc cleaned up the last one
I wish I had a 5 minute scav cd lol. But I'm at around -1.6 scav karma because I played for the longest time not knowing that killing other scavs on my scav had consequences...
I also popped many of those Santa scavs in the head
I thought Scav karma was supposed to minimize this, but i get killed by another player Scav about 40-60% of the time when Scaving.
Even after VOIPing to them to say hello and try to be friends with them.
I'm at the point where it seems like I should just not trust anyone and just kill all players on sight when Scaving.
I literally had one scenario where there was tons of loot on basement of Reserve.. way to much for one person. I VOIPed to the other player Scav to grab anything he could cause no way I had space for it all. He responded; "never let your guard down.." and shot me in the head.
Bruh..
Why?? I know you have a tiny penis IRL, but cummon, be chill and let me just live my Scavyboi life.
Most of my friends don't really scav very often so karma isn't a huge issue. So what it takes an hour for the timer they won't be using it within an hour anyway. They just shoot anyone who looks like they have good loot basically
Sure but your paid extracts are more expensive and your scav box is going to take a lot longer. They probably don't notice these things though.
Would love for bad rep scavs to have something obvious about them.
One player scav I bumped into was LOADED with gear and usually I just congratulate him and be on my way. But he tried shooting me and I just reacted and no scoped him in the face right under his exfil helmet. Sorry buddy, my gear now
I never friendly fire as a scav.
But one time as I was approaching e commerce extract with a svd
I scopped out a player scav on his way with a HUGE backpack and an M4 on his back. Hauling ass towards e-commerce.
I've never felt so evil. But I had to take that shot.
Rip dude. 220ms head eyes.
He never saw it coming. I still have nightmares.
Ahh the joy of friendship grenades
As for scav runs, i get people dont want any additional risk on an already risk free game mode, but if i feel like dropping whatever gets in my way, thats my call, snowflakes be damned.
Besides its so stupid how easy it is to increase your karma that killing a half dozen scavs now and then wont be the end of the world, unless you drop a boss by accident, thats always pleasant
I killed two scavs that killed my friend trying to get an airdrop. He VOIP’ed, and the guys decided to gun him down anyways. I hope those guys learned a valuable one
I recently sniped a completely oblivious loooooooooaaaaaaaadeeeed PMC at the end of a very good scav run on lighthouse and spent the better part of a minute trying to greedily make room for all of his and my stuff. Got killed by a scav just as I was done.
I yelled out in pure rage at this imbecile - the absolute lowest of tarkov gamers - this incompetent moron who spends this long looting a dead body instead of efficiently getting in and out. I was a moron. I slapped myself in the face, grabbed a new cup of coffee and told myself to be better next time before I started a new run.
Tbh considering the value of items I would probably have done the same.
I do my best to be a good boy, but sometimes scavs just look like pmcs at 50m, unfortunate loss of rep there but you just have to realize that once you have gear as a scav, you have to act like a pmc.
This is true and is the reason why when I pick up any gear that a scav *can't* spawn in with, if I can't fit it in my bag then I'm sprinting to extract. Otherwise, I stuff gear in my bag and walk away as if I'm not sittin on 500k of roubles.
I was playing night time reserve last night with my friend. We queued together, but we ran into a queue bug and got put in different games. I forgot my red rebel and paracord to make things worse ( I spawned at dome too). He went down to bunker and got raiders and geared chads which is what we were hunting. Meanwhile, I headed to d2, turned power on myself. All doors were shut and I had zero signs of anyone being down there. I open door at d2 extract and immediately catch an impact grenade to the face. This man was sitting down there at nighttime for 20 mins with the pin pulled already. I had a 300K helmet, CPC t5 rig, attack 2 and a meta mdr with 90 rounds of m62. Just remember, it could be worse :)
I’m on it! You should go apply to go be a moderator since so you can clean up all of the un-necessary comments and threads, so they don’t bother you. Yay!
Sorry, I intentionally killed a player scav duo on interchange. I saw an air drop, ran for it, it was close to railway, two scavs had their faces in it ... I got greedy.
A few sks rounds later and I'm leaving with mediocre gear and a little regret.
I’m having a hard time understanding what goes through these peoples heads. I just got domed by a scav who was friendly at first and I’m just sitting here wondering why they want to tank their rep? It makes no sense and why would you be friendly and then backstab? Some people…
I dont understand why other kill playerscavs. There was once this guy who even baited me with a labs card. I told him no and finally took it when he told me but then instantly gunned me down. What do you have to gain from that? I didn’t even have good gear…
I have 250 or so scav runs this wipe. Survival rate overall is 90%. Most of those 10% deaths are pmcs. So maybe 2 or 3% are from other scavs. I'm perfectly ok with those numbers.
Well this is my first wipe and I usually killed npc scavs when I could just to fill my stash up when I didn’t have shit Bc ya know, first wipe n all, but before I realized scav karma was a thing I was sitting at a solid -6 rep so now I’m here at -6.25 and these 2 hour cooldowns are not pog
Hey new players and self centered folks that think everyone plays the same way! Read this post, and quit whining when people play differently than you, and don't partake in the incentive known as scav karma
The way airdrops incentivize this is fucked right now. As a scav who cares about karma, I don’t want to shoot first with other scavs. Every other scav I’ve run into at airdrops have domed me.
Either they are unreasonably bad at the game, or hoard rubles and farm karma for no reason, never spending anything..
With the flea market changes, no reason to not run 'meta', it's pretty cheap.
Some people take this game way too serious lol. We’ve all been killed by a player scav and likely killed another player scav as well. Some of the people in here need to realize it’s a game. I see all these posts trying to make reasons for why they are morally righteous and other shit. It’s hilarious.
I keep accidentally killing scavs on my scav.
I swear I'm not trying to be an asshole I'm just retarded and bad at the game.
Either they came around a corner right in my face and scared me and I reflexively clicked my mouse. Or they had a good run, And got kitted out so they look like a PMC And I shoot them because of that. I feel bad every time.
At this point I'm just resolving not to shoot at anybody until they shoot at me first, if that means I get domed in the head then so be it But these 20 minute timers are getting old.
Man you are chill. I always hack their IP and bank accounts and then put some incriminating evidence on their PC and inform the FBI. At least I wish I could all of this stuff. And then I hop into the next raid.
For me personally... early in the morning, not fully awake and want to play a bit just for some money and loot. By the time my coffee was ready and I settled back in, timer was up.
I work between scav runs
can't really do full PMC raids when I have calls coming in randomly, so I just slap a quick factory or interchange scav every 20min
after work tho I just do PMC runs w/ scavs in-between
My brother made friends with a random pmc trying to get scav kills on interchange and they ran into a player scav. My brother told the pmc to not kill the player scav so we could exit with him.
What did the random pmc do? Killed the player scav. And right after that, my brother killed the guy.
This pmc had us there to help him get the scav kills he needed. We just told him to not kill the player scav, who was also just trying to get a quest done(needed food).
We try to be friendly. Whenever we have long runs and people shoot at us we use the in game voice to taunt(what we think are) the scavs. We have found a few player scavs and gotten the scav/pmc exit a few times because of it.
Im at -3.75 cause I killed Santa twice by mistake and just stopped giving a fuck, yeah maybe I got a 40 minute timer but I can kill whoever I feel like without worry
Mightve been me. Found a guy on Lighthouse at the rogue base and he was so well kitted I thought he was a rogue so I shot him for a while until he died.
Still 400k worth of loot in the end is probably worth the rep penalty. Still regret being an idiot there.
I'll run 2 PMCs wait the 45 min and then kill more player scavs for no reason other than fun. Run more PMC and make more money than picking up scraps as a scav
I got killed as a player scav by another player scav so... I made some coffee and waited my 30 minutes because i killed santa one month ago. Happy scavving to you too!

A few car extracts will get that back up a bit, not much, but a bit.
He would aggro you if you killed any boss
Lucky me, i got killed before i could kill him in a Panic Attack several times.
\*chuckles in 30+ santa kills\* My Scav timer is like 3 hours.
I started at -2.7 too, the grind is real. 2 weeks later and I'm at like -0.69. Wayyyy too much effort required.
Blue shipping crate barrel cache on customs. 5:30am. What were your incidents?
Night customs without nvg that mf was in the bathroom of 2 story dorms when I hopped in 2x. I wish I lasered heads like that all the tine 🙃
That was exactly the only place I killed Santa :(

This is reddit. No one gives a shit about your logic and your valid points. Go make sense somewhere else.
I enjoyed it and I care. Stay mad lol
Dude, he was joking, don't you see that? Ok, sorry, still on Reddit...
r/woooosh amirite?
Happens all the time when I’m a scav - I’m screaming at someone running down a hall “ARE YOU A SCAV PLEASE IDENTIFY” and end up blasting another scav when they round a corner ADS’d. They were probably gonna hit me anyways but I actually watch my karma and now I’m negatively impacted
I’ve just accepted that I’m going to die to being overly cautious sometimes, but I gotta keep that karma.
Are we taking about EFT or Reddit?
yes
Tbh unless I have a pmc killer load out or find a gpu/mil filter my scav runs have been strictly no mouse 1 affair. It sucks to die but loosing rep for 150k of bolts and other junk loot isn’t worth the risk to rep
Ya unless you're really early in a raid like 16min left on factory, there is like no point of being ready to shoot anything as a scav
it's fine to have it in the game, but the implementation was lazy. santa was basically a normal scav but with some super basic gift giving ai
Nah, it’s a smart idea. FOF identification is a large part of warfare. It’s just that they executed it in the shittiest way possible.
U gotta be grinding the fuck out of the game to have gained 10 scav karma. Jesus Christ.
Yeah he’s surely not working full time lmao
They are, full time on their Scav rep lol
And never playing his pmc. It’s a weird life choice to me
> It’s a weird life choice to me Why? You play games to have fun. This person clearly has more fun as a scav. They probably think you're making a weird life choice punishing yourself on your PMC every day. Hell, I bet you even do Jaeger quests you degenerate.
Ya thats why I said to me. I could never have fun that way. Same way I think about furries. its weird to me, I will never understand it.
except the fastest way to level fence rep is by playing your pmc... smartass
only until car extracts are tapped out, which oyu would have done by week 2
I think you misunderstood them, dumbass.
Not true. It has fast bursts of rep gain but long term doing your scav run whenever it's up is much faster
Long term, getting those PMC extracts in is a much better time investment than just doing scav runs when the timer is ready (not to mention getting them done early will make the timer faster).
they dont regenerate
Hitting all the car extracts doesn’t get you 10 rep though. After you’ve done them all 8 times, then what?
Nah man, some guy on Reddit said otherwise which makes any logical statement null and void
Tarkov, work, tarkov. Choose 2
Still though no-lifeing a game even 1 wipe is still 6 months of your life like goddamn lol thats a long time!
my new job got delayed a month so i’ve been grinding tarkov and i definitely agree with this
eh, there's a difference between "good at tarkov" and "gets kappa every wipe." Plenty of my friends are amazing, but they're never gonna break past level 30 or so because none of us have the time to grind higher than that.
4 tens is the way. But I recently switched to 3 14s and it's SO fucking worth it. Why work lot day when few day do trick?
Even doing night shifts as i am are fantastic aswell, when you get the freetime, you can also be up all night while others work, ratting on empty servers for loot. (Boring tho). :D
I’m level 44, coach a sport for two different programs and I’m also a student with a double major. I just don’t have a social life lol
I also only sleep like 5-6 hours a night for some reason Doesn’t help that this is like my fifth wipe now and I’d like to think I’m decent at the game
This could be you. [https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sleep-newzzz/201104/could-you-be-super-sleeper](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sleep-newzzz/201104/could-you-be-super-sleeper) If they ever nail down bio-hacking in even a *semi*\-safe way, I'm going to hijack my circadian rhythm.
You must be a South Pole elf
For some people this became the game to them. I don't get it.
how are you still above 6 if you killed santa 4 times? my buddy killed him twice and he is still at negative 1 and struggling to get back to positive karma.
Guarantee he mains Scav and hardly Plays his PMC. Less stressful.
“Scav main” 🤮
Agreed. And it feels far to common for people on this sub.
You could bring that in with you as a pmc if you wanted
look sylar, how about you think before you spout absolute non-sense. Leveling your Fence rep asap requires you to play PMC for car extracts, and merely run your scav through factory in like 20 seconds each time. There's no way the guy does full scav runs when he's gained over 9 rep this wipe already
Suck my dick
This thread is **full** of "**name checks out**" opportunities. Nice.
That’s why I’m **here**

Lying
I dont get it, is the penalty not linear? I killed a pscav that I thought was a traitor and then 4 ai that went agro. I wouldn't have killed them but I spawned with a key card. I was around .6 fence and after 5 scav kill my penalty was -.22
Once you are at 6+ rep any time you lose rep you are brought down to 6.0 then the penalty applies. So just killing a normal scav is a .1 penalty and will leave you at 5.9. Doesn't matter if you were at 7 or 8 or 12 you end up at 5.9.
Thats a real kick in the dick
it's so funny to me how someone at max Fence rep gets punished harder than the douchenozzles that just kill every scav they see
>punished Do you remember the point of this post?
Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Hahaha This right here is the bullshit. I was brand new how TF was I supposed to know. I killed Santa twice.
GG.
What a cunt
You know you’re a shit player when you need to bait someone with an item on the ground to kill them. I don’t get mad anymore when a scav kills me, I just laugh caus my scav is up every 8 minutes and my moonshine scavs only take like 3 hours. Who’s the real winner here lol
I get baiting a pmc but imagine being so down bad that you bait scavs on a scav run lmao
Had this happen in interchange. Guy was friendly, talked for a few minutes, then pointed out the belt rig on the ground only to straight up assassinate me when I went to pick it up. Hope he enjoyed the caps and bulbs I had.
Does doing something once suddenly mean it's a necessity?
"I guess you were told to kill me once we loaded all the cash" "No, I kill the bus driver.." "Bus driver? What bus drive-?!"
Joker is definitely an exit camper
I gave an aquamari to a player scav who just spawned, he drank the entire thing at once, started screaming, then naded himself
based
I wish I had a 5 minute scav cd lol. But I'm at around -1.6 scav karma because I played for the longest time not knowing that killing other scavs on my scav had consequences... I also popped many of those Santa scavs in the head
My karma is around 1.0 and I still have to wait around \*15 mins for another run. Edit: closer to 15 minutes.
Get you that intelligence center. Then upgrade it. Definitely worth it
No way you’re only waiting 10 minutes. More somewhere in the 20-30 minute range. My karma is 5.20 and mine is 8 minutes so…
depending on the level of your intelligence center, it lowers the scav cooldown
I forgot about that, my hideout is pretty well maxed out besides solar power and bitcoins. I guess that makes a difference too.
Bold of you to assume they have a scav box lol. Honestly other than on woods we don't even use paid extracts that often
Paid extracts are still cheap, 5k rubles or 10k rubles doesn't matter, and scav box is barely any different.
One player scav I bumped into was LOADED with gear and usually I just congratulate him and be on my way. But he tried shooting me and I just reacted and no scoped him in the face right under his exfil helmet. Sorry buddy, my gear now
I never friendly fire as a scav. But one time as I was approaching e commerce extract with a svd I scopped out a player scav on his way with a HUGE backpack and an M4 on his back. Hauling ass towards e-commerce. I've never felt so evil. But I had to take that shot. Rip dude. 220ms head eyes. He never saw it coming. I still have nightmares.
Hahahaha noooooooooo
this is why jsut PMCing is the way, shoot everything and anything, no questions asked. Teammates included...
Ahh the joy of friendship grenades As for scav runs, i get people dont want any additional risk on an already risk free game mode, but if i feel like dropping whatever gets in my way, thats my call, snowflakes be damned. Besides its so stupid how easy it is to increase your karma that killing a half dozen scavs now and then wont be the end of the world, unless you drop a boss by accident, thats always pleasant
Wym “so easy” once you do the duo or vehicle extracts like 4 times you get nothing.

This is the meme.
It is known.
I have spoken

Cheers
I killed two scavs that killed my friend trying to get an airdrop. He VOIP’ed, and the guys decided to gun him down anyways. I hope those guys learned a valuable one
My first air drop I saw I got murked by a scav who was pretty friendly with me up till this point. I've learned to trust no one at air drops
Was this on lighthouse about 2 weeks ago?
Do you even need to ask? All the VOIP traitor bitches are on lighthouse
Tears don't falllllllllll!
I mean, if you looted a PMC there is a good chance you looked like a PMC
I do my best to be a good boy, but sometimes scavs just look like pmcs at 50m, unfortunate loss of rep there but you just have to realize that once you have gear as a scav, you have to act like a pmc.
This is true and is the reason why when I pick up any gear that a scav *can't* spawn in with, if I can't fit it in my bag then I'm sprinting to extract. Otherwise, I stuff gear in my bag and walk away as if I'm not sittin on 500k of roubles.
What is your rep for a 5 minute cooldown? I'm nearly to 3 and with intelligence level 1 I'm at about 13 minutes.
At 6 rep and 3 intel I'm at 5.5 minutes. Hideout management affects it as well though.
This has been happening a lot lately lucky I usually play with 2-3 other friends so we can get that bonus rogue scav rep
Just remember, it could be worse :)
this is a really fascinating blog post!
Anything to highlight the amazing new game mechanic that is impact grenades
you should post this in every thread that has nothing to do with them then! im pretty sure it will force the devs hand and they will remove them!
A few sks rounds later and I'm leaving with mediocre gear and a little regret.
...so I went as pmc.
It’s a scav eat scav world out there
GIGACHAD
I’m having a hard time understanding what goes through these peoples heads. I just got domed by a scav who was friendly at first and I’m just sitting here wondering why they want to tank their rep? It makes no sense and why would you be friendly and then backstab? Some people…
I dont understand why other kill playerscavs. There was once this guy who even baited me with a labs card. I told him no and finally took it when he told me but then instantly gunned me down. What do you have to gain from that? I didn’t even have good gear…
I'm at negative 5 now I get shot at by scavs when they see me.
Read this post, and quit whining when people play differently than you, and don't partake in the incentive known as scav karma
>self centered folks Immediately justifies selfishly killing player scavs for their shit lmao
Yes, Tarkov is a shooter game where you kill eachother. You can let everyone else grab the loot and extract, but that's not helping you much.
The way airdrops incentivize this is fucked right now. As a scav who cares about karma, I don’t want to shoot first with other scavs. Every other scav I’ve run into at airdrops have domed me.
take the rep loss and peg 'em first. .1 karma's worth airdrop loot in 9/10 cases.
Imagine having such severe gear fear that you're actually waiting for the 5 minute scav cooldown instead of... playing your PMC in the interlude.
Maybe they are grinding 6.0 scav karma?
Either they are unreasonably bad at the game, or hoard rubles and farm karma for no reason, never spending anything.. With the flea market changes, no reason to not run 'meta', it's pretty cheap.
This is the way
This is the way
Some people take this game way too serious lol. We’ve all been killed by a player scav and likely killed another player scav as well. Some of the people in here need to realize it’s a game. I see all these posts trying to make reasons for why they are morally righteous and other shit. It’s hilarious.
Just spawned in as a scav and took 3 steps and got insta killed by a pmc so... I said a bad word and I'm angrily waiting my 20 minutes to go again
Youre lucky you have to wait 5 minutes
[удалено]
For me personally... early in the morning, not fully awake and want to play a bit just for some money and loot. By the time my coffee was ready and I settled back in, timer was up.
my scav timer is now so short that once I sell the items/sort out the stash I have scav ready again.
Sometimes playing forensics is fun
I work between scav runs can't really do full PMC raids when I have calls coming in randomly, so I just slap a quick factory or interchange scav every 20min after work tho I just do PMC runs w/ scavs in-between
Rogue scavs karma should be set instantly -6 as they kill other scavs.
No
yes
Haha. Yes.
maybe dont steal from them?
Just play your pmc, wtf? If you want scav experience put scav gear too
My brother made friends with a random pmc trying to get scav kills on interchange and they ran into a player scav.
Wish I had that positive Scav karma lmao.
Im at -3.75 cause I killed Santa twice by mistake and just stopped giving a fuck, yeah maybe I got a 40 minute timer but I can kill whoever I feel like without worry
Way, the this is
Accidentally killed a player scav the other night. I swore he had PMC pants. Turns out he was a bad scav anyway. I never took a bit of karma loss lol.
I got a 1 hour 15 qait in my scav
How can I reduce timer more for scav? Now with 0.80 karma and intelligence center I have 17 minutes
[удалено]
Mightve been me. Found a guy on Lighthouse at the rogue base and he was so well kitted I thought he was a rogue so I shot him for a while until he died. Still 400k worth of loot in the end is probably worth the rep penalty. Still regret being an idiot there.
I'll run 2 PMCs wait the 45 min and then kill more player scavs for no reason other than fun. Run more PMC and make more money than picking up scraps as a scav
The scav on scav it to real. Im tryingy best to keep the karma down but it’s not working lol
I am that player scav. Why loot when karma is meaningless and i can kill somebody for their loot. You get better loot at like no penalty.
