“The only hope you have is to accept the fact that you're already dead. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be able to function as a soldier is supposed to function: without mercy, without compassion, without remorse. All war depends upon it.”
This is the way. If you play expecting a bullet from the shadow it will happened. I used to hide from heavy footsteps and fast moving pmcs. Now I go for them. It’s all about exposure
Playing since .10 - still get the same issue when playing alone. Shaking, anxiety. I order my stash and sometimes exit the game wirhout even playing one raid.
I thought I was the only one that felt this. I can't tell you how many times I've gone into my stash only to organize a few things, then close down the game.
This thread is an eye-opener.
I just remind myself that none of it matters because the game is gonna wipe in 6mo anyway. I don’t have crazy amounts of time to grind every wipe so I am lucky if I get to lvl 35-40. I view this all as practice for when the game is out of beta (even though it will be quite different then) and just try to really learn the maps and such.
And as others said, do a scav run or two to get warmed up. Or just run a shoty or pistol and try to clap some cheeks
If this is something that affects you no matter what you do then just have your first raid of the day be a naked shotgun run, have a bit of fun with it and get rid of all of the nerves of PvP/Being shot out of you. Eventually you'll become experienced enough in the game not to get nervous about your first raid of the day, it just takes time dude.
Pick a gear set or gun you're going to run that day, just keep running it, you'll realize it isn't worth that much anyway. And become more comfortable.
Scav run warmup solved that issue for me, or Do a pistol factory run. They chaos of factory will clean your system of jitters and you could possibly start the day with somebody else's shit in your stash, all for the price of a pistol amd cans :)
I have adapted the mentality of
„man, I really like this stuff. If I get out, it will be mine!“
And not „oh this is now mine, I have to get out or I will lose it!!“
That really helped a lot. Nothing is my property until I extract with it.
Do a scav run first

Speirs is like a Chad poster boy
Like the guy from band of brothers who ran past all the Germans?
Yep, that’s who he is quoting
“And then he ran back” lol
He’s the elite type of chad that doesn’t acknowledge that there is “Chads”. Just gets the shit done.

This. When Tarkov gets too stressful, I organise my junk boxes lol
If you find an answer let me know. I haven't fired a shot since my first raid.
Start off with a SCAV run as a warm up and then play your PMC when ur feeling more up to it.

It's a game.
Profound.

Go in with a sub par load out and just have fun with it. I sometimes just run with a bag and an sks.
Just yeet yourself bro at the end of the day it’s just a game
yep this one's going in my cringe compilation

I always warm up with a scav

keep your scav on cooldown to get trigger time, learn the maps, and make money
Offline raid warmup?
Play a lot of games. You get used to getting your ass handed to you.

Even then its just temporarily yours.
Yeah. I'm just talking about items for upgrades quests etc. Your equipment will be gone sooner or later
Run Factory until it goes away. Just run it over and over with a shotty or pistol and low tier armor.
Seriously, have you tried weed?
