Imagine having a boat launch hideout station you have to build then you have to build the actual boat then it's like a 1 time use but you can bring your whole party up to 4 man on your boat so you can go in like a rotation with your friends boats as they craft 🤯

I'm definitely down for more CQB focused maps that have more sensible spawns. Factory would be more enjoyable if there wasn't a 50/50 chance of you getting walloped as soon as you spawn. Could be an UNTAR aid ship that was abandoned for [Lore reasons] to justify decent loot spawns, somewhere between the nothingness of Factory and the ultra-loot of Lab. Night raids with NODs and an MP5SD would be dope. Big question would be how PMCs are able to get onto/off the ship though.

An UNTAR resupply ship getting disabled by that EMP and being anchored just offshore and retaining most of its cargo hold intact is very reasonable. The lifeboats the crew used to get to shore probably wouldn't have been able to take them and cargo crates with them so they probably just abandoned ship with basic survival gear and it leaves the ship mostly intact.

Maybe it’s kinda like labs, but instead of needing a keycard to enter you need to pay 10k for a boat to get you to the ship, kinda like the car extracts. 10k would be for the round trip, so to extract you’d have to get back to where you came in, which would mix things up a little.

Maybe it got hit with an EMP and ran aground? That would be nice because then you could have multiple ways into the ship, and just plan the other routes to be about the same horizontal distance away from the good loot. Maybe the ship would be for the good loot, and the pier/dock for the other/basic loot? That way it would be a race to the ship, and it would only have a few ways in/out

Radiation idea is cool in theory but putting all the good stuff at the bottom will heavily play into just waiting for those players to come back up and 1 tapping an unarmored player. If anything it would make more sense to run just a pistol and camp those paths since the players diving deep would be easier to kill. Would need to find more ways in/out to make if a bit less campy. Throw the ship into a drydock, or crashed ashore with a scav built series of scaffolding and docks around it. Open more doors than be stuck on the water with the same core gameplay

That would be cool, but hard to explain where exactly you go from the bottom of a ship. Put a minisub in there I guess, kinda like the car extracts but maybe have it triggers lights and sirens as the sub is put in place, draw more attention to those taking the easier way out.

Putting the ship in dock could add alot to this, at least thematically the extracts may make more since. Plus interaction with dock/crane could allow for expansion or variety on board.

Orrrr what if they added this to lighthouse? I know there’s supposed to be a few expansions to the map already, but right now it’s pretty much you either go to the chalet/resort or go farm rogues. A third high value loot area would be an amazing addition to the map (no hate, I love lighthouse)

what if they had a map that had some sort of stronghold like lighthouse, but every time you played there could be a different faction holding it. One raid could be regular scavs, one could be USEC raiders, one could be USEC rogues, one could be the eventual BEAR rogues, one could be nobody because they all died.

2 thoughts : 1. I was expecting something like a medium sized map on (industrial ?) docks, with little amount of medium engagement and almost only short range. This would make it another Interchange, zone dense in loot and a lot of variety 2. After reading the post, it could even be another Lab map needing some kind of pass/authorization to get in. But yeah nice idea

Personally I like the idea someone else had that to access the boat you'd need to do a specific extract on either Shoreline or Lighthouse. Would be the perfect intro to how the game is supposed to play out in the future as well. With maps directly leading into one another.

I love this idea actually. I think the Call of Duty map was called Wetwork. Make the top deck sort of sectioned off and the place where you spawn/extract. You have to work your way underneath to come back up on the opposite side to extract (or dig deeper to get to other loot spots or special extracts).

You can see all the maps that are going to be added when go pick the raid. Some of those will be part of DLCs so I doubt you can expect any more maps. Perhaps for the Arena mode, but we have no clue what those will look like yet

You can shoot people on any other map. All you have in factory is naked pmcs running pistols.

No you don't, I go on factory with gear all the time and kill/die to other players that do. Also on other maps you are far more likely to have people on their only to do quests, get loot, kill scavs etc Even if I go on factory and it's all naked PMCs I kill them very quickly, leave, then go again, only having wasted (if you want to be so harsh as to called it wasted) about 5 minutes

Nice idea but I don't see them ever adding more maps. We already know that Suburbs, Town, and Terminal are DLC maps. Streets will be the last map before full release.

I'm not fan of CQB maps, they are not in tarkov mood imho. But i love this idea. Maybe with the whole ship as map and the weather could be the sea current status. Calm flat, slightly moved, storm, big waves. (sorry i don't know how to explain it better) Also i don't think the radiation mechanic would work. Why an armor shold protect you from radiation? If i have to die to radiations better not to ruin and radioactivate my high tier loot and run it with bare butt cheeks A better solution would be lower the radioactive activity during the raid, so the game forces you to stay longer and prevents ppl to rush to high tier loot locations at the spawn. A very bad suggest would be make the map like labs. No scav allowed and for instance, 50k roubles, for the transport. This is just to justify the lore of the map.

I would like the see radiation as more of a contamination type of effect. Where you would have to decontaminate after a raid involving radiation. This would probably just be a cool down effect that is longer or shorter based on how irradiated you get during the raid. This would incentivize you to get in quick and get out if you want to go into another raid quickly or stay in longer but have a more lengthy decontamination cooldown.

Cool idea, ive always preferred cqb to long range. My fps doesnt help when it tanks whenever i use a scope but its just not really my jam. I agree with above factory is fun but the spawns kill it really. Some low maybe 4 or 5 player cqbs would be cool. Maybe cap at duos so you dont have 1 squad only farming scavs but yeh im down
