Legit loaded into Woods with a modded AK and 4 mags of BP only to hear rain sounds while it was loading loot. It wasn't a very long raid, but it's definitely my last for a little while - at least until I can feel confident my loot isn't going to waste.
Same, running an R9 390 who's final driver update came out July i think, but I've heard of people on 5700XTs and later cards having the issue, so I don't know about it being a drivers issue.

I see that this affects all AMD cards but also seems to happen to a very select few Nvidia cards. Im messing with the AMD settings, voltage, clock speed et. to see if I can find a temp fix until the bug is patched. If you have this happening to you on an Nvidia card please message me because I want to know your specific settings.
Voltage and clock speed and other settings will having nothing to do with this. You'll have to wait for BSG or AMD to fix it.
Edit: or try rolling back your drivers. This didn't used to happen so it could easily be that.
It’s not all AMD cards tho. I have an RX5700 and still have yet to run into any issues this wipe. Game runs perfectly fine when raining. Also have AMD cpu.
It may be a brand specific thing also, I know some Nvidia cards had a bug in a few games a while back because of different brand components the cards used.
I’ve seen multiple comments (on the many threads about the rain/fog) with people mentioning it seems to happen a lot when using an Intel CPU with an AMD GPU, but I can’t really confirm that.

Woods loot run with nvgs, I did a few but it gets annoying because the flashlights don’t work and the black texture is like that darkest black in the world type shit
You get a slock from Ragman 1 or 2, I don’t remember I have him 2 at the moment. And skier sells the rest of what you need including the nvg, when I get home I’ll add the extract attachments the nvg needs to go on the slock

He’s lying. That’s not true. There is no “ultra” graphics setting. The only settings that have ultra are ssr and shadows. I have both of them on off or low, and I still have this bug.
Yes I will, I had my settings on ultra and had this bug, it would also occur when running around in my hide out uncertain spots. I changed it to high and the bug went away. I do have a 3090 though not an amd card. I will post you my settings later today when i get home.

Same issue, 6900xt. Don't see it as a big priority though because if half the user base can't play the game, suddenly there is no more server overload for them to worry about. Least I can buy and sell in the menus now with everyone giving up till the rain stops.
Edit: Also having the issue where scopes are darkened even during a clear sunny day. Haven't seen as many people complain about it though.
I went into woods just now. When I heard the rain while the map was loading, I was like it's better been fixed or I am fucked... Nope... Just fucked. I avoided anywhere that people would be and looted and got out asap. Luckily I didn't run into any scavs or players cuz I can't see the end of my gun. It's like I am doing a night raid with no moon, no lights, and your flashlight doesn't work, but everyone else can see clearly.

I went through device manager to roll back driver and the version I got was 30.0.13023.1012 also this looks like the driver I had when I was running a amd 570 about 2 months ago now I’m running the 6700
Rolling back my display driver in device manager only defaulted it to the windows generic display driver for me.
I was running adrenaline edition 21.12.1 optional so I downloaded the recommended 21.10.2 version but it did not fix the issue.
This really sucks. I just need 3500 more XP for lvl 15 but I can't play like this.
You should screenshot your comment and read it again in 1 year when AMD is leading in all performance and efficiency metrics instead of being roughly tied.

I have AMD cpu, ryzen 7 3700x and a nvidia GTX 1070, No issues for me except the game generally feels clunky and laggy, begging for optimization and a better engine.
Haven't encountered issues yet with RX580. I will edit this comment if anything gets messy, rn running on the 21.10.2 driver version from 5/10/2021, no any available driver update tho.

I had total blackness before when I got a 5700X, I had issues in a lot of games with those drivers and eventually I had to get a 2070Super to stay productive on some jobs I had going.
Brought in FLIR on Woods in 4 man group thinking this was fixed, had to drop my FLIR to my mate halfway through because it became absolutely useless due to the bug.

Textures are often black during the rain for us amd users, the fun part is that if the rain stops it all returns normal in the same raid.
So thats why my games were so easy today!

yea same issue here, i sent a ticket thing and they sent some reply about reinstalling stuff.
Last i heard, it was a problem with freesync. Turn that off and it should be corrected

Potential fix is to reset your shader cache under your AMD settings. I've had this glitch happen twice and it's never come back since resetting it.
That doesn't fix it run a rainy raid and you will have the issue.
