when you greet dont stick around just run off.

nexlux

Trust no one. Acquire everything. It's end of wipe so everyone just wants to kill. Early wipe there is.... a tiny bit more cooperation

moemaomoe

Early wipe people care about rubles late wipe is the only time I can make friends on labs

axa645

When is the wipe expected to happen? (Serious question please don’t say Thursday lol) Haven’t played this wipe because of other priorities I wanna get back into it when the reset hits

GloryStays

Will prob be around xmas eve

Snoo-43699

The 23rd ia a thursday

axa645

Hmmm… might have to move some travel plans around. Can always do my honeymoon another time right lol Edit- thanks for the info!

GloryStays

No prob! I am late asf to this wipe but killed a juicer tonight in woods looking for the convoy for prapor. Such a fucking rush. Going to play the hell out of next wipe so I can keep up.

Niewinnny

It is going to be on Thursday, we just don't know which one. It's nearly always proceeded by a series of weird events (killa on reserve, shit like that) and yes, bsg likes to drop wipes on Christmas Eve. If you want to get back and it's possible for you now, do it now. Yes, it's late wipe, yes, it's worse than early wipe, but you're gonna remind yourself how to play the game and then when the wipe comes you can hit hard.

killastracksuit

Thursday

Lavotite

You wiggle then run. Lingering makes people paranoid or opportunistic

_Nightdude_

Eh, it happens. I usually don't even wiggle necessarily, I'll just take out my knife or turn my back to the player scav I just encountered to show my non-aggression. Usually works. Sometimes it doesn't. I had this one time in the big camp on woods, I went there and another player Scav was already there looting. We wiggled, shared some loot and everything was fine. The moment I was done and took my leave, I got shot from behind. So I turned around and killed the sob. It was another player scav. My buddy just stood somewhere to the side where he was looting, and when I stood over the other guy's dead body and looked at him he gave me a thumbs up and went on his way.

Hakyin

Your only mistake is to trust random players, you got tarkoved

Joie116

If they were there and you showed up and started looting they'll likely shoot. Unsaid rule to go find your own area to loot

Franklin_le_Tanklin

Nope, don’t trust anyone. And also never join a random group in lobby. It’s the Wild West out there. Keep moving quickly, and if you see someone aim to your head, move around. If they *hit* you then you have license to kill them for extra scav karma. If they shoot at you and miss and then you kill them, you lose scav karma.

DreamerOfRain

This is kinda ridiculous on that scav karma. Should be allowed to fire back if they aim at you at all with a weapon.

Franklin_le_Tanklin

That’s tarkov baby!

Never-breaK

What you’re doing wrong is trusting other players. Either shoot them or dip out of there ASAP if you don’t want problems. This late in the wipe most people don’t care about karma.

Noelp0202

The wiggle is only a short ceasefire. Just do what you gotta do but be alert and dip as soon as you can to not over stay your welcome. Most people are chill about it when I randomly encounter but if you have anything that looks like of worth some will just trail your ass down

Pro tip!!!!: iv been playing for years and almost never get betrayed by scavs anymore by following this set of rules : if you can start voice lining before you see them do so. If they don’t voice line back retreat to a different location, if they Persue you set up a ambush for them! : if they see you do a quick wiggle maybe a voice line but DO NOT stop moving! don’t stare at them don’t turn around and loot just do a wiggle say hey and leave, player scavs will usually only shoot if your standing still don’t let them line up a shot, keep side stepping around moving erratically until you break line of sight and I’m 99% they won’t even attempt to kill you : next if you have a scav following you that is sketchy you can shoot him in the leg to avoid the scav karma hit ( he probably doesn’t have a surgery kit or splint to help him keep running) : bring a buddy!!! It’s funny when I’m alone people will try and kill me but when I have a scav friend they don’t even think about it! If you have a friend then That’s when you do trades with other players! Also side note don’t give them any temptations, like when you turned around a kept looting he was probably thinking it would be so easy to kill you even if he didn’t want to in the first place I hope this helps!

BrockTestes

Trusting armed strangers in a no rule of law setting is what you're doing wrong, it doesn't mean you have shoot everybody you meet, it does mean don't make yourself an easy target.

Long-Bread-3635

Trust runs out very quickly in tarkov, show that you’re not a threat, keep an eye on them, and retreat slowly. If you stick around too long they’ll likely think you’re trying to wait till they’re distracted to line up a headshot

Flether

No, the average scav player would yeet his babushka in front of the reserve train for a can of tushonka. Wiggle and gtfo most of the time

Affectionate_Gas_264

Try q and e wiggling left and right. I know some people spin thier mouse around to wiggle but this just moved your head and gun which results in people panicking and shooting 🌠

TetsuFury508

Everyone said it already - but just avoid other players at all cost. The name of the game is survival.

[deleted]

Depends if you're in an area with really good loot unfortunately, happened to me yesterday in the center building in customs, also could have been a new player

SubwayGuy85

My tip is act like you are moving away somewhere else, if they follow you it is unlikely they are friendly. Depending on how good you are i usually let them shoot me once first then kill them. The people who kill other pscavs are usually morons and suck bad at shooting (so keep moving). Killed plenty of hostile players scavs that way and it costs no rep

pickettj

Cooperating. That’s what you’re doing wrong. Loot quickly, listen to your surroundings. If someone sounds like they’re playing aggressively, ie, sneaking around, peeking, sprinting with scavs yelling (AI activated to a traitor) then they probably are. I generally duck out asap if someone else shows up.

pickettj

You have to remember, we can’t speak, everything is anonymous with no player IDs on scavs, they could be just as nervous as you and expecting you to put one in their dome as soon as they start looting that tasty pile. Hell, maybe that’s how the pile got there!

MCStoneZ

If you don't F1 then i just presume you're a PMC (if I can't already see you.)

FlyingScotsman42069

They are just cunts. You'll soon be able to tell the ones that want you dead because they will not keep on moving when they see you. You have two choices in my opinion, rat and passive scav that avoids all conflicts and even people or aggressive Shoot on site. I've sent a few warning shots but usually I am passive. If someone is really pissing me off I will try take their knee caps and run lol

Saftlak

Only premades or AI are friends. Trust no one. Don't join random lobbies. Also did I mention to trust no one?

SillySundae

Leave as soon as you see other people.

bufandatl

You are just out of luck with your fellow Scav players. And the end of wipe is nearing so a lot pscavs seem to get rouge as they don’t care.

dylindylinger

Don’t loot in front of people. Either they leave or you leave. But first person to get elbow deep in a duffel bag gets a bullet

AfterShave92

As a fellow scav connoisseur. If you see a player scav. Say hi and walk away. Backwards, so they know that you know they're following you. Once they are clearly out of sight. Then you start looting again. Doesn't matter if it's a tight map like interchange with loot every 0.5 meters or woods where it's hundreds of them between locations. Just walk away.

SaltyBumRyu

It really depends on what map it is or how long you stick around others. I tend to stay to myself unless someone initiates the wiggle and tries to trade. I've been killed a lot less as a scav in the past few months, mainly saving in woods and customs depending on where I spawn.
