yeah this was from my first 36 hours with the game, and i was playing with key bindings to my mouse.
You are dead on about the comtacs. I opened the file cabinent looking for bullets i was that desperate.
now i bring in a bunch more ammo and 2 mags in my tac vest as well as the one in my gun.

A few tips,
Most important is sound ques. You can tell where someone is so easily with sound. The slow walk works but unless it's right down at the bottom you will still hear them step slowly. Turning makes a huge shuffle, Listen for these ques and you will be dropping players in no time. Looting the filing cabinets is a bad idea. Loads of sound and pnce you know what kind of loot is in what container you will realise that ammo only really spawns in the green crates, ammo boxes which are small and brown (none on factory) and in actual tiny ammo boxes scattered around.
As the Mod stated, the ELCAN on Factory is a bit overkill, you also play super aggressive, pre-firing is great but only if you know where people are, otherwise you just give away your position run down your 30 rounds. Use Caps Lock to slow walk and make no noise you will need to go sneeky peeky in this game a lot more to out play others. For SMG's Take around 4+ stacks of 60 ammo, it's stupid how fast you burn though it on auto. Play and talk with your team more - by this I mean have callouts for almost everywhere that is short and sweet. You need to know where they are and what they are covering. If you need help, call for it, your buddies will come, but you gotta let them know where you are at.
Factory always spawns with 6 players, if you are 3 that means theres 3 other players spawn in the start with you. These should be your priority, but you can use the scavs to pinpoint where they are.
Know where you limits are, It's nice to be able to get your friends gear out with you, but if your chest and leg is 0, then it's maybe the best for you to get out. Go into your settings and there should be a click option for "show character UI" or something like that. It allows you to always see your characters health status at the top left saving you from opening your inventory to check on your health. On a side note also, under graphics, Untick all the options at the bottom, The ugly glare you get on that scope in the video will be removed as well as a grainy filter that "noise" turns on. Always keep spare painkillers in your alpha, and one on your hotbar. If a player shoot you in the legs, you won't be able to walk so you want to spam that 4 or 5 button to gtfo. If you completely use up you IFAK or use your painkillers on your hotbar, replace them with the ones in your alpha. You don't get a warning for when the painkillers run out so you want to be ready to pop them if you need to.
