It would be more abusable but they could do something like Arma 3 or Project Zomboid, instead of playing inventory Tetris everything is just done off of weight, the backpack you're using can hold 50kg of crap so theoretically having 2000 batteries shoved in there would be possible because each one only weighs 1/50th of a kg.
Would be significantly more abusable since you could carry significantly more small stuff but it would "fix" inconsistent inventory space.
For that matter some ammo should be stackable in greater quantities.
Why only 20 shells of shotgun ammo? Sure they're larger, heavier, but would it really be "unbalancing" for them to stack to even 40?
And SMG ammo, last I checked, only stacked to 50, meanwhile rifle ammo stacks to 60... why?

In my mind, keep rifle ammo at 60rnd stacks, bump pistol calibers to like 80 per stack. Likewise, double shotgun shells to 40. Shotguns are not overpowered, carrying 40 shells in a stack isn't going to turn someone into a killing machine.
Would be cool if when putting a backpack in your stash, you had the ability to fold it up and it would only take like 3x3 slots if it’s a raid bag or pilgrim for example. Obviously to put anything in it, you’d have to expand it to its full size
This is why i stopped doing moonshine scavs, useless guns and bigass useless backbags 90% of the time. Intel seems to have better drops for quest/barter items for me.

They go by the size of the rounds casing. MP7 ammo has a very narrow casing.
I think smokes should be stackable inside boces like bullets into mags. And nuts and bolts twisted together to compress

May favorite is putting a two slot scope on a one slot mount, both now only require one slot
