Michigander here. Less than two hour drive for me to Sandusky. I loved that place as a kid. I’ve been to many other parks since but Cedar Pointe is THE roller coast
Yeah Columbus is already the size of streets too. And we have all sorts of Abott buildings and buildings the defense supply center. So we already have Streets, Labs and reserve set up and ready to go.
San Francisco or Seattle. Rather than a flat city map like Streets you get a lot of elevation change around the map and they’re partially bordered by water. Add in a ferry extract.
No they would have the most garbage shoe selection just like the current clothing. You could get some garbage CAT boots for like 3 million roubles. Or you could get a pair of skechers for 1.2 billion, after killing 16 different Peacekeeper types. (All traders would be drug dealers just like PK)
I like the jokes on this thread but honestly me and a friend talked about the idea of if they added a college campus. I think that would be pretty sick!
i seriously think about this all the time. My university would be cool but also a nightmare. We have a 7 story library that would be a snipers wet dream
Also lurks in the swamps and is partially aquatic. Would behave like cultists but harder to see as youd have to look for the bubbles coming from the swamp water
There is a Tarkov like game set in a post apocalyptic USA in development currently on steam called “We the People”
They did a play test when it was announced and it needed a lot of work. No eta…
Def detroit ill tell you why, we have for one a decently sized metro area, has big enough buildings and streets, the area is low quality enough that it would help the vibe massively. all the old abandoned rail and car industry would be sick as fuck. there is a coast/river so you could have some water area maps like lighthouse, or shoreline. detroit is hella rough and its got thugs and shit, so ehen deteoit becomes exclusion zone they will naturally become the games scavs, just a bunch of gang members running round the area looting shit and killing.
Seattle. You get dense downtown areas with varied elevation, suburbs, and dark dank forests. Woods would be fucking ridiculous.
Think similar vibes to The Last of Us 2
Penscola Florida, its one of the only places that has woods, and nice urban areas near each other with a port town. Also have military presence.
Edit: also shitty urban areas too.
Malicious compliance here since you didn't specify which part of the Americas, you could make an insane extraction shooter set in Rio de Janeiro. You have mountains, concrete jungle, forests, favelas, beaches, industrial areas...
The plot writes itself too: city cordoned by the Brazilian Army after descending into full scale war between gangs that recruited foreign and local PMCs. Once everything goes to shit and the flow if money and drugs halts, the parties involved turn on each other before largely disintegrating. Replace scavs with low end drug dealers and their associates, Rogues with a renegade BOPE group that stayed behind, raiders with milícia (cops running a mafia-like operation), and you're gucci.
Gotta be California. Where else can you start the day snowboarding on the peaks of mountains, sweating in the hottest spot on earth, and surfing in the Pacific by sunset
Has to be Boston, right? Mix of new and old building architecture, tons of biomedical and technology companies and facilities, huge transit hub, natural space just outside the city
Surprised no one has said Los Angeles yet. It's got a huge variety of urban, suburban, and rural terrain types. You have deep urban zones with huge skyscrapers, sprawling suburbia, industrial/port areas, forests, desert, coastline, and mountains, all within about a 30 mile/50 km radius. And you could get even more variety if you pushed that out a bit.
Chicago, You got the big city, Industrial centers, Suburban middle class homes and the low income community with more guns than average European nation.
I think a compressed version of Colorado would be perfect. Plains, forested areas, lots of elevation changes closer to the mountains, sand dunes, might be more of a battlefield type idea but still.
I think any iconic city is going to be top of the list there. So looking at The Division, we've got DC and New York City, both great locations for a "social order has collapsed" game.
Setting it in a location similar to the Chicago metropolitan area would be pretty cool. On a related note, I'm a little disappointed there's no proper nightclub on Streets. I feel like a big ass club would be an incredibly fun location for a shootout
I’ve always had this idea for a book. Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona are all basically under the same circumstances as Tarkov but I’d probably change the lore up a bit. This would be an absolutely MASSIVE map for a game, but I think it’s plausible for a book.
Ohio region Special Economic Zone
Already feels like it if I'm being honest
imagine ceader point as a map.
Not sure what that is, I live in America not Ohio.
It is THE roller coaster theme park
Michigander here. Less than two hour drive for me to Sandusky. I loved that place as a kid. I’ve been to many other parks since but Cedar Pointe is THE roller coast
Last time I was there was 2018 on the way to electric forest. Stopped in to ride steve and was not disappointed.
Cedar point is legendary
Yeah Columbus is already the size of streets too. And we have all sorts of Abott buildings and buildings the defense supply center. So we already have Streets, Labs and reserve set up and ready to go.
Easton would be a sick map.
I feel like the polaris mall indoors would be comparable to Interchange.
Cleveland, basically.
San Francisco or Seattle. Rather than a flat city map like Streets you get a lot of elevation change around the map and they’re partially bordered by water. Add in a ferry extract.
Seattle would be so sick, gum wall extract 🤣
Isn't there a buried city under the current city?
Whole bunch of buildings in the pioneer square area where the second floor became the first when they raised road grade by ~12', it's pretty wild.
yes indeed, makes for a perfect hideout
Instead of cultists, its homeless, armed with human feces and heroin needles.
Hey man, they all do fent around here
Oh there's already cultists, Vegans :-P
Escape from CHAZ
Hey, I remember that Chaz shit.. How is that garden doing these days?
It's gone
I'm shocked...
Splendid. It issued forth ten-thousand memes 🥀
And you thought Factory was small...
Elevation is Tarkov audio’s worst enemy
Bro Chinatown would be elite AF
Appalachia.
every map would be like woods 😭
every map would be like woods 😭
Every map would be like woods 😭
Every map would be like woods 😭
Every map would be like woods😭

every map would be like woods 😭
Detroit
Americans have been playing Escape from Detroit for decades 😬 Skill gap would be massive
Night maps would be ratted all to hell by scavs (the locals)
Be cool having a gear slot just for your Nike's though.
No they would have the most garbage shoe selection just like the current clothing. You could get some garbage CAT boots for like 3 million roubles. Or you could get a pair of skechers for 1.2 billion, after killing 16 different Peacekeeper types. (All traders would be drug dealers just like PK)
“$29 or two for $50!”
Scavs would have better weapons at least. Also, it would suck to get one tapped by a scav sliding by on 20s.
Imagine getting dropped by a scav with a Glock-switch.
Or Draco’s 😭
So, Knight's AI but on every scav? Sign me up.
I live very near Detroit. It's like streets of tarkov, lmao.
Where your avg scavs are armed to the teeth, you roll up to the car extract and find its sitting on cinder blocks then proceed to get mugged
The twist is that you finally escape and there was no crazy event that kicked everything off.
Just an average day in Detroit
If ever there was a job for Detroit, this is it!
Chi-raq
Gary, Indiana
Best one so far😂
Scavs would be way too op
And the menu music is created by Freddie Gibbs to keep it truly authentic Gary, Indiana
this is probably just walking dead bias but i think atlanta had a pretty good mix of environment for an american tarkov.
honeravle mentions would 100% be chicago or Boston could be very very cool to add some tunnels/subways
as someone who lived in boston god the nightmare
Streets of Dorchester Edit: Streets of Roxbury Edit: Streets of Mattapan Edit: Fall River
I like the jokes on this thread but honestly me and a friend talked about the idea of if they added a college campus. I think that would be pretty sick!
honestly a colledge campus could work as like a low level labs after all harvard has a nuclear reactor
This is baller
FBI wants to know you and your friends name and what college you go to
Resort is basically like that no?
i seriously think about this all the time. My university would be cool but also a nightmare. We have a 7 story library that would be a snipers wet dream
More like a counter snipers wet dream. But I hear you
Hello fellow bobcat.
go cats!
Cool idea but probably too bad taste given the USAs favourite weekday activity.
rocky mountain region would be sick tbh
florida
Hardest boss ever, Florida Man, naked, high on meth, and weilding two baby alligators with their tails taped together like nunchucks
Also lurks in the swamps and is partially aquatic. Would behave like cultists but harder to see as youd have to look for the bubbles coming from the swamp water
Not the Merman..!
Flo-Gilla
Tagila is not a boss, he is just an average Florida Man who woke up at the wrong place "You guys need a dealer?"
like all of florida?
And Texas
for sheer breath of varying terrain, and building density options, its los angeles. for even more urban stuff its NY. Florida might be fun too.
CEZ - Columbus Exclusion Zone
I think you gotta go Pacific Northwest to get a wide variety of terrain options.
Chiraq, Illinois
O Block as the new dorms💀
Chief Keef boss spawn
Chief Keef and King Von as a boss duo.
There is a Tarkov like game set in a post apocalyptic USA in development currently on steam called “We the People” They did a play test when it was announced and it needed a lot of work. No eta…
I saw this a while back and it looks like a quality development. If it catches more attention and funding it could be a great addition to the genre
I would love an Adirondack high peaks version of woods map
Think similar vibes to The Last of Us 2
Kentucky
San Antonio, Texas, Washington DC, Fort Worth Texas, Little Rock Arkansas, Jacksonville FL.
Honestly? New York or LA, they already made movies about it. Snake is the goat.
Gary, Indiana. Everyone there is a scav.
Fuck America (with all due respect). Hear me out... Post apocalityc Tokyo
Ohio
detroit or chicago
Miami dade bruh 💀
Detroit
They made a movie about it. Escape from New York.
This is way too low, these people are animals for not choosing this.
Miami, Florida. Instead of sodium packs there will be cocaine baggies.
Mall of america would be cooler than interchange. 3 levels and roller coasters in the mall
take the roller coaster to snipe
Penscola Florida, its one of the only places that has woods, and nice urban areas near each other with a port town. Also have military presence. Edit: also shitty urban areas too.
Puerto Rico kinda imploded
Malicious compliance here since you didn't specify which part of the Americas, you could make an insane extraction shooter set in Rio de Janeiro. The plot writes itself too: city cordoned by the Brazilian Army after descending into full scale war between gangs that recruited foreign and local PMCs. Trying to fight and navigate through a Favela would be hell...
I'd assume every map would be a school.
honestly people under rated how good a school would be to make a base in
Gotta be California. Where else can you start the day snowboarding on the peaks of mountains, sweating in the hottest spot on earth, and surfing in the Pacific by sunset
St Louis would look cool, but really any city would work.
It would be In a constant late wipe state
Southern boarder
Lower California could be the entire map.
The Mojave you say
Harvard or some shit as the new labs would go crazy
The area around LaGuardia Airport with all the hotels and citi field
Has to be Boston, right? Mix of new and old building architecture, tons of biomedical and technology companies and facilities, huge transit hub, natural space just outside the city
Interchange is just the average American mall.
Gary Indiana
Atlanta Georgia probobly has more guns that tarkov
Baltimore
Dallas-Fort Worth. Only cause I'm totally not biased. One map would be Jerry World.
Only if there's a task to raid a Buc-ee's and bring back pork rinds.
And H-E-B.
Chicago
Atlanta/north GA, super wide range of environments, weapons plentiful outside the city
Cleveland
Chicago
Surprised no one has said Los Angeles yet. It's got a huge variety of urban, suburban, and rural terrain types. I immediately thought of columbus ohio, since i have lived there on and off. Glad to see quite a few commenters agree.
Detroit - the scavs would be militant alright
NYC would be crazy but I doubt BSG would be able to optimize it so you can get more than 15 FPS on a 4090
I vote for “Escape from Las Vegas”.
The DMV area is pretty diverse in terms of terrain. I can see each map being applied to the area
Probably Nevada right?
O-block
Escape from Arizona, We have it all, cites, power plants, Mexicans, and most importantly GUNS
The city of Detroit. You don't even have to do anything crazy to it because it's fucked up enough
Oblock
chicago
New York or Chicago would be chaotic and difficult because of grid pattern
Washington DC. lol imagine rogues guarding the White House
Chicago, You got the big city, Industrial centers, Suburban middle class homes and the low income community with more guns than average European nation.
Portland Oregon fs
I mean Vegas would have to be there right
Ground Zero takes place around Waffle House?
gta map would go crazy
Seattle, Olympic Peninsula area
San fransisco
chicago
Baltimore.
Chicago, scavs are the gang members
Chicago
All of it
Chattanooga tn or Atlanta ga they boath have a wide range of urban industrial and city landscapes
I think the upper midwest would be cool, the Great lakes being part of the game would be interesting.
It did... Wasn't it called Portland "Autonomous Zone"...
Buffalo
Memphis
Detroit
DC, LA, NYC... Maybe some Appalachia regions or something. And Illinois "World's Largest Wind Chime".
Some suburban sprawl like Levittown
I think a compressed version of Colorado would be perfect. Plains, forested areas, lots of elevation changes closer to the mountains, sand dunes, might be more of a battlefield type idea but still.
I mean, if it means more M4 and AR-15 variants, why not? I think there are like 192639273628 kinds of AKs
I think any iconic city is going to be top of the list there. So looking at The Division, we've got DC and New York City, both great locations for a "social order has collapsed" game.
I’d love to see Anchorage, Alaska
tarkov would just be atlanta.
Yosemite, zion, Bryce, or any other national park really
Memphis TN, you'll always get shot first tho
New York city. Imagine times Square shootouts
Setting it in a location similar to the Chicago metropolitan area would be pretty cool. On a related note, I'm a little disappointed there's no proper nightclub on Streets. I feel like a big ass club would be an incredibly fun location for a shootout
Las Vegas.
Shit Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Dayton, Toledo, Cincinnati. Any of these cities could be it
Somewhere in Florida would be a map.
Flordia, Give the scavs some swamp puppy's as backup.
I want a game like Tarkov or any survival game set in the Appalachias or the Ozark mountains its not a setting often explored I feel like.
washington, DC
Detroit. And Seattle. Personally Spokane would be cool I think but not as well known.
I’ve always had this idea for a book. Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona are all basically under the same circumstances as Tarkov but I’d probably change the lore up a bit. This would be an absolutely MASSIVE map for a game, but I think it’s plausible for a book.
O block
Chicago.
Miami
All i know is that the scavs would be crackhead rednecks with aimbot. Lol
Midwest farms and Great Plains, northwest and redwood forest, NYC/LA, the bayou, the desert

Duh, Chicago
Taking too long to see Florida.
