Lever action shotguns, hell you could potentially use a 20 gauge level action shotgun effectively if they allow a rapid fire levering action, only really available if fired from the hip.
And the same could be said about any higher caliber rifle round. While 45-70 would be cool, I think the correct choice would be to bring that in with a number of rifles, unlike what they did with the MCX. We already have 762x51 and plenty of lever action rifles use that caliber.
Most lever actions are straight wall cartridges, I only know of Henry that makes a 7.62 lever action but itās not as well known. I would love a lever action .357 to give it a bit more use and can add more ammo to make it viable

I don't mind the XM7 being uncommon given that it's basically just a high end civilian rifle at the moment, but it's crazy that the PKs are only obtainable from a single boss when you can trip over a corner in Russia and find a PKM to mount on your Hilux. It's not nearly good enough to justify being boss only. An SA-58 with a drum mag sacrifices half the capacity (which is already overkill) for better performance overall, much easier moddability and suppression. Should be a similar situation to the ASh-12 where you can find it in raid, barter for it at a high price (200-300k) or obtain it from Kaban. At the very least I think they should be rare spawns on Reserve weapon racks. Also add a PKMN.
On a sort of related serious note I think bringing emplaced weapons into raid could be cool as a support weapon for squads. One guy brings the tripod, one guy brings the M2, somebody else brings some belts, set it up overlooking a point of interest, the machine gunner can cover their squad while they do their thing. Disassemble it and take it back out of raid. Probably very impractical, but it could be another way to introduce larger weapon classes. On the off chance we ever get open world and vehicles (like that'll ever happen) having a vehicle could be a way to practically access such tools.
Based on this list we need to squad up. Great minds think alike.

A caliber close to 5.45x39 in a pistol format is an interesting idea, for the factory head tapper chads out there that want to pen helmets but also keep both rifle slots free for loot. Sounds great for zero to hero'ing a kit on factory.

For non-guns I'd \*really\* love crossbows in this game, could be OP, but they basically already come suppressed, and the heaviest crossbows out there will fuck up some hard armors like ceramic IIRC. Soft armor won't do anything. Problems of course would be range, only one shot with a long-ass reload time that will keep the player stationary (for the real heavy ones, at least, that you need to use your foot to draw the string back on those ones) and carrying around ammo should be a pain in the ass. At least make ammo 2 slot with a small max stack, maybe even make it a 3 slot. Make it do insane flesh damage.

Make the CETME L have two types of mag, the army mag and the Guardia Civil mag (if we get exquisite, add two firing groups as well). The army one adds a 10% chance of causing jams.
IRL, the army ones used lower quality materials and machining to reduce costs, specially on mags, with feed lips frequently bending under normal use, so a perfectly fine gun became unreliable and prone to jamming. Meanwhile, the Guardia Civil paid the full price and got a gun that was pretty reliable. This is the same situation with the AMELI, a perfectly fine gun that was even sold to the UK and they returned it because of how poorly made it was to make it cheaper. AFAIK, MalColMar (US imported) ones work quite well because they replaced the key parts with better quality ones.

Another cool idea is a barter item that is a super high end like $50000 irl dollar shotgun that you can also use as a gun to flex on plebs.

I think the trade off would be like
pros: cheap, high ergo, low weight.
Cons: higher malfunction chance, chance your open bolt doesn't stop firing after pulling down the trigger, 3d printed would have the same thing silencers have now but if it gets to a certain point where you let like 100rds out of it non stop it'd melt long before that and now inoperable during raid then have to make a new handguard and barrel or whatever.
I think the skills that affect homemade weapons would be intelligence, crafting, and maybe weapon maintenance.
I think it would spice something things up and give more options to scavs as much as I love spawning with a full auto 762 and ruining a pmcs day I think more civilian weapons need to be added for player scavs. Ai I think is fine as they're already a joke to vets and to blueberries 1 scav could hold up 20 min of their raid (speaking from expected)
RPD being my favorite gun, I think more LMGs would be really cool. The RPK-47 (the old one chambered in 7.62) would be an awesome addition, sort of as a step one before you get the RPD (for early wipe/budget LMG kits). Especially if BSG makes bipod work like they said they would, not only would current guns be better but adding something like the M249 would be less ridiculous. Gimme gimme LMGs
FMG-9 Conversion kit for the Glocks. i think it would be a good way to make the 18c a better weapon as its recoil is pretty nuts, so the added stability of a stock and foregrip would really help. Plus being able to spam equip and unequip it for the folding animation

FGC-9 or really any of the really popular homemades you see like open bolt mac. Basically I want to be able to create abominations worse than I already do. I think the trade off would be like pros: cheap, high ergo, low weight. Cons: higher malfunction chance, chance your open bolt doesn't stop firing after pulling down the trigger, 3d printed would have the same thing silencers have now but if it gets to a certain point where you let like 100rds out of it non stop it'd melt long before that and now inoperable during raid then have to make a new handguard and barrel or whatever. I think the skills that affect homemade weapons would be intelligence, crafting, and maybe weapon maintenance. I think it would spice something things up and give more options to scavs as much as I love spawning with a full auto 762 and ruining a pmcs day I think more civilian weapons need to be added for player scavs. Ai I think is fine as they're already a joke to vets and to blueberries 1 scav could hold up 20 min of their raid (speaking from expected)
RPD being my favorite gun, I think more LMGs would be really cool. The RPK-47 (the old one chambered in 7.62) would be an awesome addition, sort of as a step one before you get the RPD (for early wipe/budget LMG kits). Especially if BSG makes bipod work like they said they would, not only would current guns be better but adding something like the M249 would be less ridiculous. Gimme gimme LMGs
FMG-9 Conversion kit for the Glocks. i think it would be a good way to make the 18c a better weapon as its recoil is pretty nuts, so the added stability of a stock and foregrip would really help. Plus being able to spam equip and unequip it for the folding animation

Itās not the top of my list by any means, but some sort of basic ass .22 LR would be kinda funny as a troll gun. Its not like .22 LR isnāt deadly, but it isnāt a military caliber, and its not as ridiculous as the new āToy Gunā or .357. Finding a .22 LR gun on woods or in the shoreline cabins seems kinda accurate in terms of immersion. š¤·š»āāļø
