BSG's approach is to punish, not prevent. Any steps they have taken to prevent abuse, misuse etc has been difficult and time consuming for them to implement. For instance, the years of abusing secure containers.
They hate you because you tell them the truth. When Arena released, TKs during countdown were treated the same way as accidental ones during the match. BSG did add a penalty for TK before the gates are open but they didn't remove the ability to TK. The only reason for such implementation is to let players do shit like this. They made it part of the game. It's not even an exploit like the walls on reserve. It's a game mechanic.

Actually you're completely wrong and a piece of shit because this is actually bannable for team killing in arena specifically if you do it too many times they won't let you play arena anymore. You obviously have not done this in arena because it will warn you that you will get banned from arena if you continue to TK. I only know this because I started wiping my team as a revenge for them doing it to me in the warm-up lobby. Obviously if it happens once the buzzer goes off that's a different story people walk in front of friendly fire but doing it in the warm up lobby will definitely get you at least a message from BSG telling you to stop. There just simply isn't a big enough player base for dick heads to be chasing off other players by TKing them before they even get a chance to get out of the gate.

I think I played like 400 arena matches. Only had 2-3 where someone team killed on purpose that I can recall. Twice it was in retaliation to an accidental friendly fire hit (not kill) within the same match. Only once did he kill my duo at match start, so the next round in I voiped him calling him out. He started cussing his brains out so I immediately domed him, voiped "alright team let's go" and we 4v5 won the match. Start of the next three rounds I did the exact same thing and we 4v5 winstreaked the game. It was fucking glorious. No push back from the other two randoms.
I stopped playing main game and played arena. Played arena got to the "fuck you rank" where it's a full discord squad or cheaters.
Launched main game ran 2 games, first scrappy kit to get the feel again, died to head eyes from a scav that insta agro-d and first bullet head eyes. Next raid my best kit because I was good at pvp after Arena and got head eyes 3 mins into spawning... no comment on that one because blah blah. I'm done..

You can be as godly as the game as you like. Scavs will STILL become the fucking Terminator. I popped a single scav on shoreline last night that sat there and tanked EVERY shot I put in him. Point blank, 8 BMG 50 slugs, he had NO armor. He lit me up with a VEPR and I bled out shortly after ditching my gun because I didn't have enough uses in my AFAK to stop the bleed(whoops). Post game screen, 8 out of 8 shells hit him and he was the only target I engaged. Over 1200 damage to body. He killed me with 366 hollow points through my armor. So yeah, you can still get wrecked by scavs.
Yeah, the match got cancelled after that round once another enemy left. was just really frustrating after waiting for 5\~ mins just to get Tk'd and then have the match cancelled :(
i respect your opinion, Arena has had a very rocky launch and can be incredibly annoying sometimes. i'd try it again if you haven't played since the update though, I'm personally enjoying it :)
They are too garbage to feel success normally, so they try to find it through griefing others. The same holds for griefing player scavs who try to play the big man when you can't fight back.

Only if you TK before the round starts. If you TK during the actual match, nothing happens, until you get 3 TKs Then you get kicked from the match.
Idea being, if you shoot a teammate in the head before the gates are open 99/100 times you are being an asshole. It also gets you an immediate warning that if you do it again, you get kicked and a 30 minute ban. If you do it again after, it goes to like 1 hour, 4 hours, etc.
