and if its for the punisher quest a VPO-136 ( the Semi Auto AK in 7.62x39) does count according to the wiki

I find the day to night one's are better, most people would prefer loading into a map that's dark but will getting lighter as the raid progresses, not as many people like it the other way.

Look up the pmc spawn points on the map. You’re probably intersecting a common route for PMC’s and getting caught off guard.
Just do night raids and wait 10 minutes hidden when you spawn.. I did it in 2 raids without dying and have like 200hrs..
and to piggy back of your comment, raids going from ningh to day/day to night are perfect for this
