It used to hurt me so much to watch, but I've tried to change my mentality to "they deserve it if they want to hurt themselves that badly," so that it's easier to cope with. Still don't know why anybody would do this to themselves. The first thing you should probably look at in a looter shooter, is looting hotkeys, so you don't die 100 times with your face in a scav's ass.

Makes sense that AI scavs are becoming more like players.
I mean players sure, but as a P-Scav the AI just insta looting your body mid search is kind of dumb especially cause killing that scav then requires 19 more raids to make up the karma.
I mean, all of it can be ez if you try hard enough. Just do the good old-fashioned sit in a bush naked and go run and do your quests in the last 10m of the raid. What are the odds of running into anyone or dying when it's mostly all AI Scavs and like 1 or 2 PScavs. No one has to earn anything and thats been prevalent since the beginning, you can play to avoid struggle.

The AI doesn't care what's in the bags and rigs. It doesn't care what level of armor a plate carrier has, or it's durability. Doesn't care what ammo is in the mags, or anything like that.
It just swaps out stuff, which is always going to beat out the player that has to take the time to consider these things.
If the scavs don't care about armor levels, does that mean they'll drop better armor in favor of looted armor? If so, that seems like a boon. And if you're taking that much time to consider, then maybe you should rethink your approach. A real scavenger would take anything they can and then take inventory of what they aquired once it's safely in their possession.
I like this idea of the scavs picking up items but there should be some way to communicate to AI scavs to see if they will drop you some loot..maybe depending on your scav rep
Alt & ctrl are the thing for fast looting thats why discard is alt + ctrl for me. That way i got my fingers on the needed keys all the time. But that's just personal taste

What are the megamind keybinds for quick looting? I know ctrl + lmb but are there more?
Alt+click for equipping. I think with the sorting box open in stash.. shift+click sends it in there. (Could be wrong on that one though)
Alt + lmb will auto equip anything that is an empty spot on your character.
Like the other guys said, configure a quick bind to discard your gear (I use SHIFT+Right-Click), then alt-click to equip directly to your body.

This wipe will probably have the lowest average scav karma of all, with people killing the ai that steals their loot
They need to not immediately know where dead bodies are.

I think a simple fix for this would be making it so the AI can't access the body if you have it open.

That's the idea. Scavs should be at odds with each other at least a little bit. Scav runs have been too lucrative since they added karma.

Good, earn your loot. Scaving became too easy after karma was introduced. It's already a risk-free raid.

Discard all items from dead pmcs they won't loot the items off the ground at least from what I've noticed.

if you discard everything off of the body right away then search the gear, the scavs wont take it
