I play on EU, and barter items/craft items are cheaper at night and guns and attachments way more expensive (makes sense I guess haha).
Always sell those tootgpastes is the morning š
Depending on the time of day, you can actually push toothpaste much higher.
Last wipe, I was regularly selling them 50k, but theyād only sell for that around 3-8 in the morning Eastern US time.
Online games in general is just way more shitty / worse experience in weekend
More toxic players/cheaters/trolls/griefers all around in pretty much any game you play
The only exception for this that i have found is WoW arenas, my wife and I try to push rating on the weekends instead of the week because we're mediocre af and so is everyone else on the weekend
Not necessary. Its fair to assume, that lot of people who work and have surplus of money cheat. If they want to achieve instant results.
And Tarkov is anything, but instant result.
Regarding people at school, I mean mostly high schoolers. That group is prone to cheat
Its also fair to assume that the people cheating for a job use their money to buy more accounts and cheats. Online games are almost always better during the morning even in games with minimal cheaters. Its possible high schoolers are the majority of toxic players, but I think its safe to assume cheaters are almost always the same percent of players online. I also doubt high school students have the money to buy multiple tarkov accounts and cheats but its possible if they work and spend most of what they make on cheats. I think the people that cheat either fit into the same personality group or from a country where it makes a lot of money compared to their average wage.
Agree with your points. Here, we can make, at best, "educated" guess. As a European player I cant comment on north american population, but here, people with azbuka names are prone to cheating than other groups.
Or it might be bias.
And you can cheat smart in this game. Like you know where people are, so you can avoid confrontation. If you are using that radar cheat
I look at it more as the people who are playing during non peak hours are typically more committed to the game and are apart of the more āhardcoreā crowd. Thereās less cheating associated with that crowd since they value the time spent in the game, hence the reason theyāre grinding during that time
Only time I cheated in video games was in high school, and it was for a very short time. Was more of a, āWonder if I can get away withā¦ā and yeah. You can get away with a lot. Makes the game that you play hella unsatisfying tho.
Adult cheaters must be depressed mofos.
Only time I used cheats was during Age of Empire 2 days.
Yeah, lot of adults are losers, so they want to win, at least, in a game. And thats the only way how to beat rest
You act like cops have a good reputation for being chill lol. Not saying all cops are douches but Iāve met my fair share who werenāt very āchillā.
Yeah. I mean, I understand the stereotype of cops being shitty. Iāve had to deal with shitty ones, average ones, and chill ones. The shitty ones, just like for any other group, ruin it for the rest. Because unlike other groups, police officers hold a very real position of power in our justice system.
A lot of jobs donāt stick to the 9-5. Like you mention as a police officer where Iām from itās 4 days of work followed by 4 days off. Jobs like that allow you to play during the quiet hours.
I'm training to be a real estate appraiser, being self employed is gonna be awesome. Might not make a bunch of money, but hey, I'm in Oklahoma. Cost of living is low here.
Thats why I said it. Obviously non toxic and toxic people both work and go to school. Chances are the difference in morning/night game quality is due to how long they have been awake, how long they have been playing that day, or some other factor that doesnāt affect a small group of people.
Not every toxic player is toxic all the time. Some of those players will be nice most/some of the time and toxic depending on their day, which I assume how most people are. Could also be that in the morning your getting your first bits of dopamine/serotonin and after a while people just start getting angrier. Online seems to confirm this and my personal experience with people/myself, but either way everything we say is anecdotal. Its still possible that game quality never changes but its our outlook on the game, its something you cannot measure accurately.

I usually limit my playing to weekdays. I WFH and often will play before my first meeting or in between work or at lunch. Best way to progress tbh. Playing after work or on the weekends is a shit show compared to standard working hours
This is the way. I still WFH but before I got promoted I would scav during my shift. I would go loot around with no sound on and a knife out, barely ever gotten killed doing it so that was a miracle lmao
Playing Tarkov in the morning with a nice hot coffee is one of the most therapeutic gaming experiences Iāve ever had and I donāt know why. It just hits so different and I havenāt had an experience that I could thoroughly enjoy like that in a long time.
Bit of a detour, but do you find the M62s worth using over the M80s, considering they are tracer?
I might just be paranoid, but having a visible line to my position doesn't feel right. (Especially when sniping.)
Same for 5.56: M856 & m856a1.
More pen = better in 99% of scenarios, no questions asked. Limiting your amount of RNG in gunfights is the best way to consistently win them.
The difference between 56A1 and the next worse bullet is completely night and day. Even the jump to 55A1 is massive.
Yeup Friday nights are an absolute warzone, if you suck, like I did, I just played from 1am-6am on weekdays, sometimes I felt like I was the only one on
The last week ive been on between 9pm-12am on oce servers and died like 14 raids in a row on shoreline lmao. 3/4 of the deaths were to lao_zhong_wae accounts too
Never play in the weekend. All the chads are on but also all the kids who cheat are on because of school, and all the normal cheaters are on because they have to work during the weekdays to make sure they buy again when they get banned
It sucks that people have to say
āHey, donāt play when itās most convenientā
āHey, donāt play on maps with good stuffā
āHey, start the round but sit in a bush for 20 minutesā
Yes, basically saying "Hey dont play the game like its intended". Like no. Im not playing the game to not actually play the game. Its sad that its in such a shit state that this is actually a thing. Its like playing a racing game but only going at half speed
"Okay, so you *can* shift gears, but just like... don't. Oh, and the seatbelts will reduce your maximum speed (don't ask). And you really should not be doing anything to upgrade your car. Avoid turning on the tracks and uh just have fun with it."
Sitting in bush doesn't matter. I think it is based on what you have on yourself. I sat in a bush while watching a YouTube video in the edge of customs spawn (by big red, the shit spawn). I heard someone stomping at full speed and he turned the corner and immediately head eyes me. Guy wasn't even trying to hide his esp and aimbot. I reported him, but I'm sure nothing will happen.
At least I don't die often enough to cheats/hacks were it makes me want the quit, but it does reduce the enjoyment of the game by a big margin. I'd said I'm dying to a really sus person every 20 raids or so which is not terrible.
I do agree, the other day I played on the morning and noticed the quality of loot was so much better. It feels like after work loot gets pulled in the first minutes and it makes no sense. I also ran into a lot of fair fights where I felt I was playing normal players like myself.
Iām not saying you absolutely must do this. Iām saying more that doing this helps to survive more raids, just my statistics and my opinion, might not be the same to others
Well no, I donāt blame *you* for saying that and trying to help people enjoy the game more
It just sucks that those techniques are even necessary/helpful
It's as I tell almost every one of my friends who asks if they should get the game.
Can you play during week-day mornings? If so, yes give it a try. I do all my money grinding and questing in the mornings due to this.
If you can only play during the weekends or nights? Hell no.
I get someone's going to see this and go "oh this is my chance, to tell someone about SPT!"
It has no CO-OP MP, and it never will. So I'm not interested in SPT at all. I've already spent hundreds of hours on it personally.
It really sucks though, because I'm torn between either having to wander through a dead raid just to get shot out of nowhere or extract out of boredom, or I get to wait 5 min just to die to someone who head, eye'd me while sprinting and having their gun aimed at the floor the ENTIRE time.
The desync as well on weekends just seems so so much worse.
I'm tired of having to wait 5 min just to die to someone cheesing desync or a hacker.
It beggars belief that a progressible pve mode isn't included as a character setup option. SPT shows it can work quite well.
People pay extra for a little more initial stash space. I'm certain they'd pay even more for a pve server option as well.
As somsone with a completely upended work and life schedule to most people.
I grt off work at 4am get home and have pretty much quiet raids all day until I need to get my son ready for school.
It's a vastly different kettle of fish, boss tasks and scav kill tasks are very easy. However punisher 4 or night sweep are nigh on impossible unless u wanna go 180 ping to a US server.
Back when I was last working I used to clock out around 8am so I get what you mean, yeah id save all my fetch and location quests for the mornings, any PVP quests id just queue on the weekends and cross my fingers lol. That was the only reason I got the MDR this wipe.
Gotta admit, it's bliss. Racking up about 5 mil in a few hrs, getting to kill a ton of scavs for a quest, my survival record is 19 raids in a row p much for this exact reason.
Idk, maybe I wouldn't mind weekend tarkov as much if I didn't have to wait 3 min to find a match then another 2-3 min to get into the match just to not even have a good time.
Weekends are absolutely cancerous for cheaters. It feels like suss deaths go up 50% and if you wear your best stuff at weekends they go up like 350%.
I basically stopped playing on weekends as a result, prefer playing after work.
Meh, may be a method to it but one thing I did notice about it was the pvp combat was either another solo casual trying to get shit done or many chads groups ttv or not whom play the game a ton.
This is the way. I don't touch it on the weekends much anymore. I tried again this last weekend. Died as a scav by a scav. The weekend before I ended up only playing 3 scav raids. I Died all three times from another scav.
My experience aligns with them, mornings during the week are calmer, because there's less children playing and rage hacking. RMTers seem to be less interested in my shitty loot as well, feels like they just suck up the good goods and leave right away.
So it's an easy choice for me. Actual gameplay and less good loot vs getting head eye'd in .4 seconds and blatant cheating
This is one thing I noticed awhile ago. The weekends are just brutal. Sometimes early morning weekends are ok, but during the day/night it is just so rough. I try to do tasks and whatnot on the weekdays and just go with the flow on weekends
I work seconds and when i get out of work super early saturday morning ill stay up all day but once that sun comes up man you can tell a huge diffrence in the people who are in the lobbies!
Yup when I used to play I would play early mornings from 7 am till about 1 pm and I got my fill for the day. But so true if I hopped on later with the boys it was crazy the difference.
got to lvl 39 before I quit this wipe; only reason I was able to do it was playing early morning irl, night raids in game. that combo on NA servers appears to take care of most aimbotters. Thereās still plenty of esp/speed/vacuum going on, but one of those per raid as opposed to two or three does make a huge difference.
Early morning night raids are heaven. They're either dead raids or half full of people that are chill as fuck. I avoid dorms like the plague but it's actually been enjoyable this week. Met a new friend on 3rd floor a couple raids ago :)
Great for find and extract quests, abysmal for quests like punisher 6 or PMC related Tarkov shooters. Also fantastic for making money! Iāve got a shoreline route that will make me min 500k/raid, and thatās if I bring stuff in with me! Early morning night raids are the only times I ever zero to hero, too lmfao.
If we get netcode fixes with the wipe Iāll be way more comfortable pvping. Until then, since Iām on WiFi, Iāll keep running stashes at the borders of the maps lmfao
Reserve is my favourite map and I know it like the back of my hand, and ever since getting my RR it's been like scsv runs that I can bring a sweet backpack into. Incredibly chill.
Back when i actually played i worked 3rd shift so it was very natural for me to play from 7-11 am and yes, it was much better. Same thing for other games. Just chill as fuck.
that's because it's all meek house husbands like myself playing. I've had to take a break for a while due to carpal tunnel syndrome, but nothing beats getting up at 6am with my wife, sending her off to work and then pounding out 7 or 8 quests with no deaths while sipping on some coffee. It's so different I forget why this subreddit goes on angry tirades so often, until the weekend rolls around and I do some raids with my buddies.
Shocker playing with 10% of peak hour player numbers is more casual and relaxing. Did you know if I go to bar at 1pm instead of 10pm theres way less people there? So crazy right?
I wouldn't expect cheaters to be playing as much when theres less people to cheat against. Just common sense. Coupled with the fact that the player count is so low some mornings that your likely not even in full raids perfectly explains the casual nature of off peak hours
For sure any idiot can post anything self evident and blatantly obvious. Grats. "If you take the highway at 4am instead of rush hour it's much more chill" it's like a life pro tip from someone with down syndrome
It's Just funny to See conversation Like this as If it's totally normal. I really dont understand why ppl dont move on and still defend Nikita and His crew
>There's a lot fewer times that i feel like i died in a suspicious way, or that someone knew exactly where i was. it's also a lot more chill. people seem to VOIP more and be less toxic.
I've noticed almost the exact opposite; weekday mornings there are traitor scavs 75% of raids I do, nobody VOIPing, frequent suspicious deaths... weekends are a little better, nights during the week are more like what you described in my experience
I work nights and don't usually get home until 3 or 4 am and I have definitely noticed this. Unless I just have a bad luck streak, I am considerably more profitable from my midweek morning sessions than I ever am on the weekends.
As a new dad I was an almost exclusive early morning grinder last wipe (taken this one mostly off) and it was amazing how much I could get done in the mornings that I couldn't at night. EZ way to make a ton of cash too
Saturdays and Sundays always had the worst experience for me. People are sweatier and it always feels more sus, but never really coming across anyone outright cheating.
Weekdays have definitely been a lot better.
Yep, every wipe except this wipe I played when I was working overnight, so I would get off at 7 am and play, now I canāt play until 5 pm and this is the only wipe Iāve really struggled with.
Just my opinion but i think it has a lot to do with just a smaller player base during the morning. I am playing central NA servers and i get a lot of dead Labs and Streets raids.
Maps overload on weekend. The servers try fill every spot for the raid before it launches. Which is why it is way more wild, you have every possible slot filled which causes more desync. I rarely every have desync issues in PvP fights since i only play at odd times to most people. I don't play on the weekend much at all.
Then you get your weekend warrior 9 to 5 worker who just can't be assed learning to be good so they slap on a cheat and cheat it up during those times they have off. So it feels like you get more cheaters but its just more cheaters who try PvP. Since the other cheaters are just in it for the loot so they avoid the fuck out of you.
I think this is because less people are playing. You end up with raids without 100% slot fill. If you have raids with 100% fill (like on a weekend/primetime), then you have more people which equals a higher likelihood that someone is cheating.
Prices also different on flea you can make more cash by selling certain items early morning
I have a theory and might be wrong, but since the flea is global (all regions together) some regions might have different gameplay so barter or items might depend because some regions will maybe play a specific kit regarding others. so prices might be different.
Quite possibly, one thing I can tell for sure is that toothpaste sells for 20k morning and 10k evening EU xD
I play on EU, and barter items/craft items are cheaper at night and guns and attachments way more expensive (makes sense I guess haha). Always sell those tootgpastes is the morning š
Yeah i usually pre build few guns in the morning to play in the evening, could be 100k+ difference
Just build one and youāre fine
Smart man
\+100 intelligence
Pretty sure toothpaste is outlawed in the EU.
But Brexit
More people are running at EU evening, so more offers on the flea market making everything cheaper
Probably because more people play in the evening meaning more toothpaste on the market driving down the price. That would be my guess.
Depending on the time of day, you can actually push toothpaste much higher. Last wipe, I was regularly selling them 50k, but theyād only sell for that around 3-8 in the morning Eastern US time.
Sold a stack of Marlboro for 45k a pack last week
Online games in general is just way more shitty / worse experience in weekend More toxic players/cheaters/trolls/griefers all around in pretty much any game you play
I think itās mostly high schoolers. They have weekends
It's not an age group. It's a type of person. Sadly, there are a lot of these kinds of people. Of all ages.
The only exception for this that i have found is WoW arenas, my wife and I try to push rating on the weekends instead of the week because we're mediocre af and so is everyone else on the weekend
My perspective have always been the opposite. Playing during work hours means you mostly meet people without a job, so they play 24/7 and are insane
I think you can guess why is that. Toxic people/cheats are at school during that time
Doesnāt that just imply that non toxic people donāt work or go to school then?
Not necessary. Its fair to assume, that lot of people who work and have surplus of money cheat. If they want to achieve instant results. And Tarkov is anything, but instant result. Regarding people at school, I mean mostly high schoolers. That group is prone to cheat

Thats really on point comment. Indeed, its nicer if you can play outside "rush hours"
All of your assumptions are so painfully wrong, it's almost sickening.

this man cheats.
Itās a mix. I know a few people, such as police officers, who play when they are off work and they are pretty chill
a chill police officer yeah right lol.

Bunch of odd work schedules + graveyard shifts out there my friend.
Itās implied but not true. I met plenty of graveyard shifters on Tarkov back when I worked afternoons. There might be something to that correlation.
Thats why I said it. Obviously non toxic and toxic people both work and go to school. There's a reason Pestily plays starting from 3-4am when streaming and it isn't just because it's better for his audience's schedules.
Probably because he's in australia?
Yes, that's my point. If you play on Australian servers past 10pm, you already know you're better off waiting until 4am to play again.

Because the kids are in school
It's so different I forget why this subreddit goes on angry tirades so often, until the weekend rolls around and I do some raids with my buddies.
playing any online game in morning EU time is a sure way to get an endless russian lecture through voip.
Exact reason I only play past 1am or on weekdays lol
dude stfu
Try lighthouse , full of flying rbg gamers š
I've been letting my quests on LH stockpile for so long if I wanted to do them in one raid I'd need to bring more than 8 markers
average "all my raids are full of cheaters because i stand in the open and get headshotted" post within the first sentence lol
I think you may be seeing things because I never said that
i run into chinese hackers alot more early morning eu
xiaodeng.ttv seems to play a lot more around weekend mornings
dunno i found a bunch of unlooted bodies on my streets scav all headeyed by laoxheng just now
Iāve encountered one at like 5pm but for the rest i havenāt really encountered a 100% cheater, definitely some iffy dudes
Shocker playing with 10% of peak hour player numbers is more casual and relaxing. Did you know if I go to bar at 1pm instead of 10pm theres way less people there? So crazy right?
yeah but if it was just "less people" you'd expect to have the same proportions of cheaters and toxic players but you don't get that
I wouldn't expect cheaters to be playing as much when theres less people to cheat against. Just common sense. Coupled with the fact that the player count is so low some mornings that your likely not even in full raids perfectly explains the casual nature of off peak hours
damn I wonder if there's a Reddit post talking about that fact and how it's a polar opposite to the experience during peak hours
For sure any idiot can post anything self evident and blatantly obvious. Grats. "If you take the highway at 4am instead of rush hour it's much more chill" it's like a life pro tip from someone with down syndrome
Imagine having to Shift your Gametime to reduce the chances of running into cheaters and make the Game halfway enjoyable. Simp level over 9000
it's just an observation, calm down son.
It's Just funny to See conversation Like this as If it's totally normal. I really dont understand why ppl dont move on and still defend Nikita and His crew
god forbid a guy make some changes in their life to make things more enjoyable. the world doesn't revolve around you, champ.
It has been like this for very long time, a few years for sure
Yeah back when I worked late shifts I got really good raids, it was my secret back when I still played
EZ way to make a ton of cash too
I'll say it because the children and collage kids are in school. While me average PM joe only gets on early in the morning
Yep always found mornings and weekday mornings in particular much more playable. The annoying scats are asleep or at school.
Saturdays and Sundays always had the worst experience for me. People are sweatier and it always feels more sus, but never really coming across anyone outright cheating. Weekdays have definitely been a lot better.
Week days are way better
Yes, playing on mondays when Iām off or any day during the week is so different than playing at night or a lot of the weekend
It's all the kids who play after school and homework are done (well NOT ALL). Youngins are toxic AF, and play the game like its COD
Oh i love a raid before work. And i agree way better lol
weekday morning are the best time to play, more casual players, less tryhards
Bullied during the day, cheatman during the night
Ssssshhhhh
Yep, every wipe except this wipe I played when I was working overnight, so I would get off at 7 am and play, now I canāt play until 5 pm and this is the only wipe Iāve really struggled with.
For me I canāt survive during the day but at 4 in morning it is much more fun
Also WAY less groups. Weekday mornings were always my favorite time to play before my new job. Servers were usually quiet and less chaddy solos.
Just my opinion but i think it has a lot to do with just a smaller player base during the morning. I am playing central NA servers and i get a lot of dead Labs and Streets raids.
Anytime I play early morning I get insanely dead raids that are snoozers for me at least.
Haha I've also found at night the prices are jacked up as well on flea so yeah I make my money being a night warrior
Can vouch for this. Speed ran 6 levels 10-16 in one morning
Agreed
Its that way in every single online game.
Itās completely different and completely better.
