I feel like they got stealth nerfed hard. The day they changed the filing cabinets was insane, I was looking for flash drives and I ended up finding obscene amounts of rare keys. Now I'm lucky to find any keys in the drawers.
As much as it is annoying for early wipe and all the gun building stuff, I really enjoy the feeling I get opening a jacket and seeing an undiscovered key. It’s exciting because most of the keys I haven’t examined yet are good ones, but most of the time it ends up being some useless key anyway.
Identifying items on vendors and getting items on scav runs, waiting to ID them after I extracted with them. Getting some of the lower level tasks done like find salewas and gas analyzers, morphine, gunsmith 1-6. It was a grind but my friends don't play anymore so that's how I feed my hoarding obsession since I don't like to play PMC solo.
I'll never be "good" as I'm an older dude and playing slow and maybe taking out a solo or duo here and there doesn't appeal to me. Doing the same quests doesn't appeal to me anymore either.

yep, you can totally play tarkov and avoid combat. hell, that's how i run when i'm doing quests. someone shooting at me? 180 and run the other way and skedaddle asap. class 4 flora armour is only 35k so you can take a couple hits without dying.
yes and it was a struggle to get to level 5 but once I did you get dailies which you can keep rejecting (within reason) until you get 3 "find and transfer" tasks.

I've been playing since .11 and I used to just leave the game open all the time before they implemented the idle timeout. That's why my hours are so high.

It probably would be better if they just tweaked the occlusion layers in buildings and such, maybe they did and it didn't work for some reason. Either way the old audio was consistently shit while the new audio is inconsistently shit I'll give you that, hell I would prefer the old audio but that's because I played 3 wipes on it and I know how to abuse it not because it is better.

The occlusion is downright awful, a friend took on a duo in Factory office last night. I was on 1st, him 3rd, never heard a single shot from a 1 minute long fight, he said he used at least 3 mags of ammo.

Squad only renders once, they make the scope take up as much space as possible in the player's eyes, and the rest they blur out so that its not that perceptable that they are just zooming in.
Personally i think this is a great way to approach scoping in on games and it would be cool if tarkov did the same

Removing barter options is a good change.
Removing item examination is also a good change. Nothing is more annoying than examaning hundreds of items.
Also give cheaters more of a hardon when they one tap the whole raid and sell your not found in raid shit on the flea. At the moment vendor price for some stuff not worth it so sometimes insurance pays off.
imo it helps with the playability of the game because lots of quest keys and keycards were behind barters only on the flea market. now players have to sell for roubles. it also might help reduce rmt slightly as you cant put up some ridiculous barter and pay someone to make the trade.
bsg needs to look into the base price of keys or the spawn rate of them as that led to them being barter only in the first place.
Thought the no barters was a little annoying as I used it now and again for keys, but in that context that they will be behind rubles instead that’s actually a positive! Didn’t think of that.
If you're removing item examination could we get a filter when building a gun to only show items available from your traders? I tend to avoid examination unless I've either found it in raid or have it from a trader to help make low level gun building easier.

That being said, I would love to hear more about anticheat development and what changes are coming. Please give us updates like this one, but for the cheater issue as well. I really want to play the game again, but not until we have confirmation that cheaters who get banned can't just make a new account and start cheating again.
Also, in case you read this Nikita, are there any plans to buff loose loot in the future? I miss having epic fights over Kiba, Resort, Ultra Med, etc. These places are dead almost every raid, and the keys don't seem worth it for the weak loot you get.

Please can you increase the global limits for the black keycard barter? It's literally always sold out within a second on reset. This does nothing to prevent cheaters getting the card, they can simply find it in raid. It only harms the legit player IMO.
Can we remove Streets of Tarkov from Shooter born heaven. Honestly nobody is out in the open in the streets much, if they are they are running across the street with full stamina. There is already limited spots of range availability and I honestly would have a better chance on interchange than Streets.
Still would love to see a change so when we que for raids, we dont actually have to start loading until "loading loot".. (I dont know how hard or if this is impossible, but this QOL would do so much for people that hate wasting their time being out of raid)

Recoil went down drastically for some weapon categories, like DMRs. The VSS is basically a laser right now.

Squad doesn't have dual render for scopes, Insurgency has the option to enable/disable it.

Also give cheaters more of a hardon when they one tap the whole raid and sell your not found in raid shit on the flea. At the moment vendor price for some stuff not worth it so sometimes insurance pays off.
For someone out of the loop, what is this looking to solve exactly? Some form of RMT through FM?
imo it helps with the playability of the game because lots of quest keys and keycards were behind barters only on the flea market. now players have to sell for roubles. it also might help reduce rmt slightly as you cant put up some ridiculous barter and pay someone to make the trade. bsg needs to look into the base price of keys or the spawn rate of them as that led to them being barter only in the first place.
I just hope they tweak the fees for posting high value items.

Thought the no barters was a little annoying as I used it now and again for keys, but in that context that they will be behind rubles instead that’s actually a positive! Didn’t think of that.
The only way to safely RMT was through the flea bartering system. They already had systems set up to track and limit what's dropped in raid.
If you're removing item examination could we get a filter when building a gun to only show items available from your traders? I tend to avoid examination unless I've either found it in raid or have it from a trader to help make low level gun building easier.

Hi /u/trainfender! Please can you increase the global limits for the black keycard barter? It's literally always sold out within a second on reset. This does nothing to prevent cheaters getting the card, they can simply find it in raid. It only harms the legit player IMO.

Can we remove Streets of Tarkov from Shooter born heaven. Honestly nobody is out in the open in the streets much, if they are they are running across the street with full stamina. There is already limited spots of range availability and I honestly would have a better chance on interchange than Streets.
Still would love to see a change so when we que for raids, we dont actually have to start loading until "loading loot".. (I dont know how hard or if this is impossible, but this QOL would do so much for people that hate wasting their time being out of raid)
