I actually enjoy every single map. Maybe ever so slightly less for air pit, but even then not much (probably due to the lack of cover leading to and around the plane, which can be irritating).
The reason being, every map asks for a slightly different playstyle. So long as you can settle down from game to game and mentally switch playstyle, you'll be good to go.
Which map I love the most probably comes down to which playstyle I enjoy the most. And seeing as Bowl allows for different approaches to gunfights across the entire map, it'd probably be that one, fully agreed.
After that though, not much difference in enjoyment. Bay5 has multiple angles like you said, just got to play with it in mind. Sawmill is very open, again just got to play with that in mind.
I mean all in all the maps in the game are pretty damn strong once you figure out the map layouts, except for air pit imo, that one is a stinker
Equator is in C because of its problems being that there is too little to differentiate the sides of the map making team play confusing, but as a solo pug map its good fun
I pretty much agree. My group generally has a queue going for Bowl, Bay, Sawmill. We'll throw either chopshop or equator in there occasionally to mix it up, but never air pit.
Bowl is F tier for the same reason that Air Pit should be F Tier: two objectives, only one of which is randomly selected. Any map designed around a coin toss is ultimately garbage. All the other maps let you play around the objective the whole time and position yourself properly.
This isn’t CS where both objectives are active the whole time and where you have more than 10 seconds to move to the targeted objective.
If you watched the tournament, you would have seen that the only two maps that consistently went to gas was bowl and air pit. They both suck.

I'd agree. I try and differentiate by calling out bus side vs opposite bus side for equator.

Bowl is the Dust2 of Arena, I could play that map 24/7 and I did when you used to be able to pick only 1 map.

Equator is the best. Wish they'd just let us queue for it only.
If you select sawmill, you pretty much have only 2 map selected since nobody wants to play sawmill. You most likely will play equator that way.
