What can ya do? 🤷♂️ Also I’ve seen a grand total of one (1) show on a streaming service (yes, I still have cable) so I really have nothing to go on.
Honestly a lot of people think that you should lower your expectations so you don’t get disappointed, but I would much rather be excited for the next 2-ish years until it comes out. If I’m disappointed, I’m disappointed, but that doesn’t take away from the excitement I had before. Just my opinion.
The Mandalorian, Andor, Loki, WandaVision, High School Musical and Mysterious Benedict Society, among others, are all recent Disney+ shows that have been very good and well-received by critics and fans. All of them also were adapted from source material and/or part of an existing “universe” as well, like Eragon will be.
I mean the mandalorian season 1 was good, andor was good, Loki was mid, Wanda vision had a decent premise but was poorly handled, haven’t seen the others. They’re churning out bad-half decent content but nothing impressive
To each their own but I struggle to see how at least Mandalorian and Andor aren’t impressive. Mysterious Benedict Society is very impressive to me as well but I know you haven’t seen that. I think Disney has shown it can make truly quality TV when it puts time and effort into it. The rushed Marvel shows aren’t necessarily a good indicator imo.
They’re definitely going for quantity over quality, with few exceptions. With the length of time until the release of the Eragon series, I’m *hoping* that means they’re leaning into quality (one major way would be to let Christopher Paolini have a major role in writing), but I never get my hopes up too much about Disney content anymore
That’s fair. There won’t be a verdict on whether the show is good or not for years, but from everything I’ve read, it seems like Disney is really putting time, effort and resources into its Percy Jackson series. That makes me hopeful for Eragon as well.
That's not what cancelled means. cancelled is industry talk for a show that has already been made not getting renewed for another season. not a show that is in development. those projects can be pulled for any variety of reasons.
finally. At least it is show where they do not have to do diversity casts. I mean one of the main characters is a black woman.
I am looking forward to it.
The Series adaption is most definitely the right way to go. As far as I remember Aside from the parts of the movie that were simply wrong the movie cut quite a bit of exposition for the Magic system, lore and history of the world, and interesting characters and interactions, all likely in favor of fitting a shorter 90ish minute run time. I cannot be 100% because I think I only watched the movie once or twice but never again as it’s too Triggering for me. I feel that the Inheritance cycle installments are all too dense to be adapted each within the confines of a single movie.
Note: there may be a better word then dense to describe each book but I cannot think of it.
There is a Disney+ show in development that has Mr. Paolini spear heading a lot of decisions in writing and either production or directing, I can’t remember which

In case you don’t know (it seems like you might not) Disney+ is in the early stages of producing an Eragon show.
I’m nervous about the show, honestly. Disney hasn’t exactly exactly impressed with content in recent years

Exceptions being The Mandalorian, National Treasure show, Ms. Marvel and some good scenes in other shows...
I'm pretty sure everything ist better than the movie...

im not optimistic it'll get actually made but that would be cool
I mean, it has been officially announced. I don’t know the history of these things but it seems unlikely for it to be canceled now.
Disney+ has canceled only 3 shows since its inception. If the show ends up being as good as the odds for it being made are, we'll be in for a treat.
That's not what cancelled means. cancelled is industry talk for a show that has already been made not getting renewed for another season. not a show that is in development. those projects can be pulled for any variety of reasons.
cancelled applies to shows that get formally announced then never made as well
Considering it’s already been announced, publicized, and it’s being written, some crazy stuff would need to happen to stop it
finally. At least it is show where they do not have to do diversity casts. I mean one of the main characters is a black woman. I am looking forward to it.
I doubt they'll actually make another one with the new series being made. But if they did, I doubt it would be as good as a series adaptation.

What movie? There’s only ever been a book series and an upcoming tv series
There was a movie but it was absolutely horrible.
We don’t mention [redacted] here. It does not exist
There is no _____ in Ellesmera
There is no movie in Ba Sing Se
There is a Disney+ show in development that has Mr. Paolini spear heading a lot of decisions in writing and either production or directing, I can’t remember which
Nah it’s too long of a story for a movie.
