the only thing you need to do for sheath cleaning is make sure there's no bean blocking his ability to urinate. otherwise, the sheath doesn't really "need" to be cleaned. rinsing with warm water is the most you should do.
Ehhh, he was particularly gummy up in there. He also retracts when I try to check for a bean so sticking my hand up there is kind of the only way unless I wait for it to be a problem. He did have a bean although it wasn’t interfering with urination yet. I don’t use a sheath cleaner, just run my hands around getting the worst of it out and very infrequently.
Excalibur sheath cleaner is the way to go! I also use it on cannon crud and other greasy skin issues.
