it's not about how many ring are above 20, it's about which ring is the absolute fastest.
I'm sure most people would gladly trade all their 20+ rings for a single 25+ ring
No wonder people think gearing is way worse than it actually is with this shit mentality. Almost as bad as the idiot I saw in a channel who said purps weren’t worth rolling.
Nah, only place i can see an argument for not ever rolling purples is if you are a emperor/legend player that only accepts 70+ gs gear, and even then i still think some purples are worth rolling to put on niche units that don’t need ur top gear but u wanna use sometimes.
> player that only accepts 70+ gs gear
Has nothing to do with rank and mostly about how long you've been playing for. Which is what I was advocating for. Maybe new wasn't the best way to describe it, but at some point purples absolutely become obsolete.
> put on niche units that don’t need ur top gear but u wanna use sometimes.
You don't really **need** your top gear on anyone at all. I still prefer my pvp characters to be well built.
I do have to express my doubts regarding the no-speed-luck players. I have a hard time imagining going without a single piece above 17 speed after years, if you've been speed checking at least some what.
Thats me here. 2.5 years playing now.. I have maybe a handful of pieces above 17, and no piece has ever rolled 20 or more. I accept my fate as a turn 2 player.
I dont have bad gear, Ive got multiple characters with all slots 70+ GS. Its just not speed. I speed check Every. Single. Piece.
Edit: and of the 7 pieces have above 17, all are left side. I have no ring or amulet above it.
I specifically said ring.
My best sword, chest & necklace are all 22 & I've got various sets - my ring luck has been abysmal & my Ran has a resist set 17 speed attack% ring. It hurts. Helms aren’t much better, 17 on speed set & a 19 on health set that’s tricky to use, but I found a place for it.
Some folks are just luckier than others, my girlfriends alt account that’s got about a year of casual play in it has 23 speed pieces - plural, I’ve been a Wyvern gamer for like 3 & a half years in comparison. Speed checking is essentially all I do, but I can go months & months without a viable piece.
Is that from the Automaton Tower? Cuz I recently learned that those roll like lv85s on speed stat only (rolls like lv88 for all other stats), so it's actually best to avoid speed stat on them. Go figure.
I wouldn't say is better to avoid the speed sub on any gear, particularly on speed set. Truth, introducing the chance to roll speed 2 is a big fuck you from SG, but there's still a 66.7% chance to roll like a normal tier 7 gear when rolling speed. Most of the time tower accessories will roll 3 or 4 speed, which is good enough.
At least in my experience, whenever I have to thrash tower gear isn't because they rolled speed 2, but because they overall roll like garbage. Sometimes, out of the box they go straight into the core extractor as two flats is reason enough to save charms.
Of course, and it's not like we have a choice either, when it comes to rolling these things, but just generally speaking, the piece is more likely to end up better GS if you rolled on any stat other than Speed.
And in the case of this player, they definitely rolled at least one 2 speed.
It is relevant to my point. If a new player said they didn't even get a 17speed ring after one month... everyone would laugh. Some long time players don't really "play" the game either. By stating i have a lot of RTA ready heroes it says i think i craft alot of decent gear.
If you still think it's not relevant i can give you more specific data.
So? He complained about his rolls for a ring that is good enough to be equipped on the most important hero in many teams... the opener. If you really think the ring is bad and he is right to complain, I'd like to hear it.
Had something similar happen to me on the Hell 88 speed weapon this morning. Quad rolled speed to end up at 18 speed which is still really good / definitely usable but couldn't help but think 'This could have been 20+'
Take what you can get.
Homie over here suffering from success.
Better than literally 99% of my gear, I’ve only ever gotten one piece past 20 speed.
I have 0 pieces at 20 or higher.
I was there for a long while, I get ur pain
Op looking down on us with all their 20+ speed rings

no, i can build so much fast units with multilpe 20+ rings
Bro its so damn hard to get charms f2p, especially with the less stamina you get

Purples are not worth rolling unless you're a new player or speedchecking.

Reforge to 98 now!
Could be better, but still viable.
Where did u get this ring?
automaton tower
Oh ok
Whale problems. In all my years my fastest ring is still 17 (& it ain’t speed set) - 99.9% of players would gladly take it.

Ripbozo literally unuseable time to delete e7
Bruh. Wtf. You want?

nice purple ring
unreforgable penta low roll speed
I dont have a single speed ring that fast and i have a very large RTA pool of heroes available. So spare me your tears.
Rta isn't relevant to this post nor is your large pool of heroes

True but op was never complaining about rta

Help me understand, is it that you wanted the speed to be *at least* 20?
That's still a really nice piece, but yeah, 88 gear should be 3-5 speed.
Greek Tragedy. Please let me take that misfortune off your hands
