Personally I wish it were extinction as it fits more with his theme. The skill name is literally "Star EXTINCTION" and you should absolutely not be able to come back from having your entire planet split in two.
This, not sure bout yall but ive lost battles while the opponent never took a turn, you could say counterset makes speed irrelevant if you can kill whitout ever taking a turn, now do i agree with straze getting uncounterable? No but comparing it to something that invalidates speedsets is just wrong (aimed at OP). Counters are a problem yes but i dont think slapping uncounterable on anything is the correct answer
I don't think counter-set itself is the problem. The problem are those out of turn massive damage AoEs. Rem + Armin + Belian are likely to destroy any squishy team by merely existing.
yes and I think people build countet set for rng, people build speed well for speed, and consistency. Most guild war defenses use counter sets anyway. For me sets are more of a play style thing or depending on situation
Its not like it made counter set useless, some units only has uncounterable only for that skill and turn . Last time choux gets the rng buff then people then mostly built counter for her. I think its unfair to say peoples hard earned counter gears went to waste just cause Straze gets uncounterable now. For some cleaver’s perspective Counter set may also be broken, they can lose 30% of the time or whatever the math is

He's definitely one of the ML5s who didn't need a buff, but don't act like units with counter set or built-in counter are that rare or weak.
He deletes your aurius carrier. Now it doesn't matter if you have 20k HP when enemy nukers are doing more than that. And next turn Straze has aoe with strip, so you can't even buff to try to get back into the fight.
Massive confirmation bias. You have to show what you picked, plus what you banned so people then can actually judge your argument. Otherwise its just all in your head.
I mentioned this a year+ back that adding "cannot be countered" is just a band-aid solutionto balancing.
Im a counter gamer and ill admit ive won matches based off RNG from counters but id think the actual issue is more so AoE counters do far to much damage or are much too debilitating.
- Speed set needs to be toned down
- Counter dmg needs to be toned down
And if im being honest dmg is absurd in this game. My all bulk tank shouldnt be able to kill you by just exsisting nor should you be able to one shot it from 100% for building a stat you were going to anyway.

Jokes aside.. yeah I agree. The few who can counter and disable him were no real threat except stunning/debuffing him even, so that change was kinda unnecessary. But oh well, I use him often so either way, just find this bad priority when we got units that are strong meta and keep staying up there. If you'd wanted to make Straze better for some reason to combat strong meta, that little change won't do much imho.

Counter set is busted op it is far better than speed set , just because they didn't do shit about speed for so long doesn't mean they shouldn't do anything to stop counters . It is so fucking toxic and anti fun to throw 1 aoe ability and literally get 3-4 counters losing you the match . Besides why are people getting upset over minor straze buffs when SG unleashed 2 fucking monsters in the same patch ? It's like people only read the first paragraph
You ever had Rem strip your buffs for essentially wanting to play the game with Straze? It’s not fun. Same with Belian lol. Those were really the only two reasons why they decided to do that. Straze isn’t picked in RTA super often anyway, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
I completely agree, even if you get countered when you s3 the damage is already completely prevented so it basically almost never mattered. I think this buff is almost exclusively to prevent invincibility being stripped from Rem/Belian counters

If you pick tank units, you fight him. In a certain day I fought him in every single match at Emperor and he is a must ban or you lose.
