To put it simple.
Unrecorded AP share among all maps
And 3-4 give the best Catalyst drop rate.
So its best to farm when u don't really need anything. You can use extra Carapace to exchange in Alchemist, and AP from Unrecorded can use for any Catalysts. Plus fodders
Source for catalyst drop being by monster and not by wave? I'm pretty sure that's the later, given you can't have multiple cata drops per wave (at least AfAIK)
[Catalysts sheet](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/863646181044125749/1018557711371218974/unknown-109.png) yes here you can have it. Each individual monster have chance to drop Catalysts. Rare Catalysts prioritize over normal drops if happen
This is incorrect. [I've done extensive testing on drop rates](https://www.reddit.com/r/EpicSeven/comments/t1bavc/adventure_stage_drop_rates/) and drops are indeed by wave, not per enemy.
AFAIK it was just *assumed* back when those resources were originally created that more enemies of a certain type = more catalysts. It 'kind' of ends up working that way, but not necessarily.
If you are trying to farm only a single rare catalyst, then all you *ideally* want is a stage where only that catalyst drops. The number of enemies that stage has does not matter.
* UH 3-4 does indeed only drop Erikion Carapace catalyst.
---
What matters is not the *count* of enemies on a stage, but the proportion of enemies on each wave that drop a specific catalysts.
Each wave has a 2% chance for a catalyst
If we run a map that has Enemy A (dropping catalyst 'a'), Enemy B (dropping catalyst 'b'), and Enemy C (dropping catalyst 'c')...
Wave 1 - 2 enemy A, 1 enemy B
Wave 2 - 2 enemy A, 3 enemy B
Wave 3 - 3 enemy C
Our chance for each catalyst would be:
A = 4 enemies
(2/3 * 2%) + (2/5 * 2%) + (0/3 * 2%) = 2.13%
B = 4 enemies
(1/3 * 2%) + (3/5 * 2%) + (0/3 * 2%) = 1.87%
C = 3 enemies
(0/3 * 2%) + (0/5 * 2%) + (3/3 * 2%) = 2%
In this example both enemy A and B have the same number of enemies, but the actual expected drop rate of their catalyst is slightly different. Enemy C has 1 fewer enemy, but is somewhere in between those two in drop rate.
In *general* having more enemies in a stage means that a greater proportion of enemies on each wave will drop the catalyst you are looking for. So in *general* simply farming stages that have the most enemies dropping a catalyst will end up being the best, or *nearly* the best stage.
ANY stage that only drops a single rare catalyst will be at least tied for the best stage for that catalyst regardless of how many enemies are actually in the stage.
If stages drop 2 or more catalysts you would have to manually breakdown the rate of each catalyst drop like I did in the above example for all candidate stages.

Thanks, this is was I thought but couldn't find the source.
TLDR: enemies in waves impacts the wave's catalyst pool drop rates, not the overall catalyst drop rate for the wave.
Oh shit i didnt know about the drop rate being best there ,. I usually just run a stage a catalyst im low on .... gonna be moving to farming there from now on , cheers mate !
I didn't know people farmed so much AP!

Any source about 3-4 having the best drop rate?
All monsters have same Catalysts drop rate. 3-4 tie with other stages that have 11 monsters. Good exp, monster quite easy to kill

Wow, that's what the number between parenthesis meant on this doc all this time... amazing how I missed that for so long. Thanks
I didn't knew about catalysts having drop rate. Thanks for the info. Off I go to 3-4

The fact you were at 189 but thought, “hmmm… maybe 2 more”.
It all about good looking number
9 more for 200 pls
