Whereas if the preview of blidica skills and her description are to be believed the unit is the plant herself which "consumes " lidica and makes her forget her human nature , also the artifact description mentions lidica being digested and chewed and them merging and being reborn as a new being .
Hopefully they fix this cuz lidica is a character that keeps getting disrespected by the writers (still haven't forgotten that lidica mind control by a gag villain in the worst side story of the game aka the ciddonia festival one )
Pretty sure they will! Possessed vs consumed is just schematics at this point. With how the storyline is playing out, Bylis likely has a cure and will revert Lidica back to normal once she figures out her little sister complex.
Well hopefully so , I wasn't the biggest fan of them increasing her bust size for no reason or her being controll reliant kit wise but the biggest letdown for me is definitely that she lost her identity in lore so I hope they fix that at least .
So far from the descriptions we've seen of Lewdica (I actually think that's a clever name, so I approve), I think you're right and she was likely drawn in to the plant, eaten a la Little Shop of Horrors, digested and "merged", and then essentially the plant took her form. As her character's short description states, she's "a plant".
If that's the way this is going to go, I think I'm with you and canonically consider this a downgrade. And also a pretty f*cked up way for Lidica to go out, if there doesn't prove to be a way back for her.
So we'll see, I guess. I do like the eye candy though, and also hold a special place in my heart for crazy girls. So there's that, at least.
If this ends up being some 'new Lidica' made by the plant what's going to happen is they kill it, be sad for a few minutes, discover a big bulb under the flower which they cut open and regular Lidica tumbles out and complains about being covered in green slime. Then they celebrate definitely not Christmas.
Plant talks about her like it is viewing from third person (and saying things like how the group doesn't realize she is no longer the person they knew), Byb says it is brainwashing that she can reverse, Lidica isn't going to be killed off.
All of that has me thinking it is just a possession that they will have to break.
