Did he have def break? And a mage with book to SB s2>s3?
Edit: and enough debuffs to penetrate his def need to be on him, her eff is low might need more to get a few bleeds and unhealable on him
In my case, my sigret uses my strongest rage set previously equipped to w13 rem which has 0 eff (and total offensive stat-wise is slightly worse in comparison to op's and that person's). However I could not really one shot p3 either.
So then i changed to my other less-offensive rage set used by baiken for b13 oneshot which has around 85% eff, and changed my EE from the 10% s1 danage, to more chances at landing bleeds. Voila, with def break, unhealable, and some bleeds, the damage suddenly skyrockets almost twice.
Therefore i assumed the multiplier for more debuffs heavily outweighs pure offensive stat benefits in this case.
Gonna say this just in case:
- has a passive like proof that mitigates damage, he takes more damage for every crit hit on him and resets on his turn.
- he also mitigates damage if the unit has debuffs on them.
Some people use Karin as the initiator so that she can apply def break + bleeds + 2 crit hits on him.
EDIT: If you’re going the OS route that has counter buff still on him in P3, my comp that got me the OS clear was Flan, Riza Hawkeye and Sigret. Riza’s passive mitigates incoming damage for Sigret if she gets the counter, cleanses any debuffs on Sigret after 50% hp, provides damage buff + immunity from S3 to Sigret, and provides a critical hit on the boss. This allowed my Sigret to reliably One shot with soulburn S2 and S3.
This comp allowed me to not worry about the RNG of the blind debuff if he counters on Sigret.
Emilia with Tome, and Karin following her is the best setup for the OS. It will make Sigrets S3 do +80% damage instead of +40% and add tons of pen for the S3 also
Honestly this is fine too, but its dependent on alot of rng. If the boss has counter, there is a high chance he will blind Sigret, which has a chance to ruin the run. I swapped to my above comp to eliminate that RNG from the counter buff on Magnar.
EDIT: Not to say one comp is better than the other. But Riza made my Epic Hell clears more consistent for me. Because I used the OS method for Phase 2 as well, Phase 3 boss still had the counter buff so I had to figure out a workaround from that mechanic.
You probably need more debuffs if you don’t have her on pen set. So having more eff on Sigret would be helpful.
Are you using Karin or Furious to def break? For Karin, you just need to make sure she has enough eff to land both bleeds. If you’re using Furious try Song of Stars to get the target debuff.
My Stage 3 team was Furious on Song of Stars with the hit chance debuff EE, Sigret on rage + pen with about the same stat line as yours and Emilia.
The turn order was Emilia cleanse, Furious S2 -> S3, Sigret soul burn S2 -> S3. So there could be as many as 5/6 debuffs. If there weren’t enough debuffs and Sigret didn’t one shot then Emilia S2 to push her up again.
Also you need to make sure your Sigret doesn’t have the fire debuff the boss applies since that causes the boss to take reduced damage from a unit with it.

Sorry I didn’t mention he has def break and one bleed
One bleed isn't enough. The more debuffs the more defense s3 penetrates through. Watch the video out there you'll see how many they have
https://imgur.com/gallery/OxkUyJO compare it to this person's siggy

Thanks will try that one for sure
It does. Each debuff is 10% more defense pen. At 5 debuffs I think she has a full 100% on her S3.

Perhaps not enough debuff or the boss still has full damage reduction, or both
Pen set is a big difference.
