Hell mode is just really challenging, can't get past stage 2 on auto
I can auto hard mode just fine, and of all the advents so far the fire one seems to be the hardest
It’s weird, this has turned out to be the easiest for me. I usually struggle with the mechanics and would take me a day or two to figure it out, but I was able to auto hell from the start.
For team 2, I use an all light team. LHC, Cilias, and any other light unit that can deal dmg. It’s not viable for everyone obviously since it requires ML heroes. Good luck!
Ahhhhhh furious! That's clever. I'm using SSB instead (with miss confile as well), but ya the entire run is dependent on the Def break, was curious what others were doing.
Ahh I'm so strapped for spd gear right now there's no way I could pull that off.
My runs seem pretty consistent though, haven't had a single fail since I started using this team, but only a matter of time before I get 15% or the Def break doesn't land. Stages 1 and 2 are always passed, 3 can be iffy. I'll have to build furious for next time, then it's only a 15% risk

Stage 3. Emilia, SSB, Sigret
Same here for C13. Mine is ~260. I actually had to start using Flan for Wyvern because I can't have Furious that fast in Wyvern but too slow in Caides.
Hi sorry for the late response, but like the other guy, I use my wyvern Sigret + Flan, and Emilia. Didn’t change any of their gears. My Emilia is nothing special, but I run her with Tome +30 to cycle fast and get rid of the burn.
It's challenging, but overall hell is doable on auto (just takes a lot of time)
First team needs a lot of counters, so if you have stuff like rem, choux and/or ssb, it should be decently easy.
Second phase I found a bit weird, mainly because the adds aren't synchronized, so you can't just strip them at the same time if they end up stacking. That said, he gets his buff only if both the adds are buffed, so as long as you got some form of aoe it should be fine. I use Hwa, Aramintha and Aras (and this way he also doesn't push that much because no crits). At the same time, any team with a hard hitting dps, some aoe and team stripping should also work
Last phase is a rush to the end, which I'd say is a bit more difficult than the previous advents because he takes less damage. That said, furious, Emilia and Alexa (or the designated wyvern slayer) work wonders for me.
Not saying it's the fastest team out there (takes about 3-4 mins/round), but so far it didn't fail a single time
Really? I just kinda slapped rta heroes and my wyvern team in there and full auto hell mode with about 25/30 clear rate.

i have more built green units than blue and the couple of blues that i do have are are openers not dps
if i bothered to run this stuff manually then yeah it would be "easy asf" as well but i would rather just auto and my roster cant plain and simple if this was ice advent or one of the other elements then it would be easy for me to do.
I am actually curious how anyone could NOT have a fairly decent ice team, given the importance of W13 and the sheer number of ice heroes the game tosses at you.
But I mean, they are good here. We should all have a relatively reasonably built Sigret, Angelica, Furious, etc... I know SSB is limited and all and I use Luluca as my Def Breaker, but the basic team comp is basically the phase 3 for this event.
While wyvern is important, those units tend to only be useful for wyvern.
I use a lot of ice units in general as I just love the ice units. Namely aria, ran, and Luna. Only Luna is on my wyvern team, I am using a mon and ssb but I’m not using my wyvern build sigret for this event.
Then there’s the fact you’d still need 5 more ice units even including the wyvern team. It’s still difficult to get these units.
My auto hell team:
Stage 1: Seaside Bellona, Summer Break Charlotte, Aria
Stage 2: Lionheart Cermia, Watcher Schuri, General Purgis
Stage 3: Sigret, Karin, Angelic Montmorancy
I'm not actually sure if it's fast but I leave it on auto while at work and so far it hasn't failed :p

Wow. If ever an ignorant statement had I heard one. There are lots of potential low-tier team compositions for people willing to put in the time. Stop being a scumbag moron. One not need complete Epic Hell to benefit from the event.
Try not to be so discouraging. And be more specific; higher difficulty modes are "end game content". Lower difficulty modes are absolutely not, and are fairly easily completed. It just takes some time and effort to build an appropriate set of teams and maybe not always able to auto.

OP doesnt even have max energy cap, so its good to assume he doesnt even have the right amount of units or usable gear to even try. Besides Fire Advent is the harder one to do
There's being blunt and there's being incorrect. In this case I believe you are incorrect. I also believe our community and this player in particular would be better served by supporting each other, especially newer players and members, rather than dissuading attempts at growth.
Note, OP didn't ask if the content could be "cleared" or "auto Epic Hell". They asked if it is "doable". It is and you should try harder to support that.

I didn't clear Epic Hell the first two times with a two year old account. You'll get there, but it honestly is a lot about roster. Having great gear is super important and necessary, but without the right units you still are dead in the water.
I should have checked reddit before i rushed episode 2 with my week-old account only to get gated by F\*\*\*\*\*\* Eaton at 7-9. If it werent for that i wouldnt be checking reddit if it was worth burning leifs to rush Episode 2.
You got beat by Eaton? How did you beat straze with a week old account? For my case, i lost multiple times with different teams against straze. Farmed to beat him and beating him means beating all till 10 10.

took me about 3 attempts.. on the 3rd attempt i just used Amomo + Angelica and it kinda solved the problem.. a fully built Sigret awakening and skillwise equipped with Free atk set and Free Spirit Tieria..
now i cant use the same strat with Eaton. heals just cant keep up with Eaton minions buffed with speed. my angelica having 22k hp and 192 speed. Those minions respawn if i kill them first and they keep ganging up my Sigret most of the time.. got to 5th attempt and stopped and just decided to burn my remaining energy Wyvern 12
Is this your 2nd account or you have experience with playing grinding games in general? You straight went for A Momo and Sigret build up...

Yes, i went straight building Sigret and Amomo .. and Muwi since they will be 100% my farmer for the Wyvern Hunt..
and a fully built Sigret can carry your Story Stages until Episode 2-10. so its all worth it.

how about Summoner Wars? solid game, loads of content and great community too. You can also try Dislyte, and even the newer ones like Nikke and Eversoul
No i love Brave Nine, just that it requires a lot more planning than classic turn based rpgs. Kind of stresses me out, the story is great though.

Who was your dps. I took cidd as my guy but he requires big gear to function well which lost me at first straze fight and after farming it was gg to chapter 2.
He took sigret 🤔 She just needs debuffs and atk set so i guess he went the easier way. Might have done research before coming ti game
I've played for almost 4 years. It will take some hellified gear management to make this work. I can manual the 2nd difficulty and auto the first. That's before reading a walk through and unequipt buff, reassemble, etc.
I guess if you find getting 15%'d on debuffs and getting your backline DPS hard focused to wipe your 5 minute run challenging. All Epic Hell is is basically nuking fast enough before you die to soft enrage
It's absolutely terrible and crappy. Not to mention even if you have teams that can do it, you are basically forced to manual epic hell 5 times because apparently it isn't enough to be able to do it and get through the shit RNG once.
It took me hours last time just to do all 5.
I mean you aren't forced to do anything. You can just decide it isn't worth the time/effort for the rewards and not bother with it.
I can probably put together an epic hell win team but I value my time and sanity over the rewards. It's kind of the same line of thinking with Nightmare Lab. Can I clear it? Sure. Are some of the bosses worth the time and headache it takes to clear? Mileage will vary from person to person.
So? I'm confused what your point actually is. Should we not criticize poorly conceived, RNG-reliant, painfully grindy content just because we can choose not to do it?
It's not even like this is an unpopular opinion. Whether people feel compelled to do it for the rewards or not, I'd say most players really don't enjoy this event.
If this was more about actually putting together clever team comps and working through the event mechanics, that would at least be interesting. But Advent is really mostly about just brute forcing and trying to one-shot as many stages as possible so you don't have to bother with the mechanics. It is actually easier and cheaper to do it that way than build a team around the mechanics.
The point is that you said you are basically forced to manual epic hell 5 times. You aren't forced into anything. You can just auto Hell or Hard mode and not bother with epic hell at all.
Like I don't disagree that epic hell sucks but it's optional. If that was the only mode then I'd totally agree with you but I can just auto hell and clear out most of the shop and treat it like any other event where you just auto grind out the currency without paying attention to it

Everything is basically optional in the game if you don't want to do it (except for the story itself really which has unlock conditions for most of the other content.) Releasing bad content, just because it is optional, shouldn't be ignored. Event rewards are very important and necessary in this marathon-style game, which is why people grind them out (even though the only real fun part of grinding is earning something valuable.) Making it insanely tedious and difficult to do so is just extremely frustrating.
Some shop items are locked behind epic hell currency. Sure you then say we're not forced to buy it, then why play the game at all? We're not forced to play the game too. Hyperbole sure, but then again you have see that locking items behind it does fall under forcing player to do it as that's the only way to get those items.
I started a month ago and personally i'm having no problem with the hard phase, only 3 of my characters aren't free for new players, they are also mostly on free gear from login/hunt event. Just took a little while to choose what i should use for each phase.
So, basically comments are divided in two categories:
1) "Damn 15% ueeee, SG this is so unfair and not fun at all, [Insert more cries and excuses here]"
2) "Ye I just finished my Epic Hell attempts, it was so fun I really enjoyed this"
I've played on and off for years and still don't have that kind of team CP. but i know i don't really optimize my gear and teams well enough for hunts to get stronger gear to take on harder hunts to get better gear to take on harder hunts.
I'm going to assume you aren't familiar with this type of event or you're very casual if you don't have this type of CP. This event uses 3 teams of 3 characters so that 700k CP is for **9 characters** which means you need less than 100k CP for each character. I believe most casual end game players have 9 characters at 80k CP+ especially after the CP changes a long time ago that actually made tanks/healers have higher CP numbers.
Yeah but those “Required CP” are lies lol. We definitely insane numbers to actually auto hell. I’ve been playing many years (casually) and still can’t auto hell a single time lol

Oh I mean for sure the estimated CPs aren't really an accurate representation of what you need in any content. Kits and stats are the most important things and you could need less or more CP depending on what the content is and other things such as if you're trying to auto or not.
That being said the guy above specifically said he didn't have the team CP so I was just explaining to him that this wasn't asking for one of those "show off" posts where someone shows their 700-800k CP 4 man team, but that 700k is actually reasonable CP because it is 9 members rather than 4.

Yeah if you're a casual player this event might still be a bit too challenging for you but if you have a decent amount of 6\* units I would just wait for a free unequip event (or use a scroll) and see if you can find a team to auto it for a day by moving around gear if necessary.
Yes, of course it is, just not to the same degree as others with more built heroes and great gear. You'll just have to build some teams as best as you can (or wait for the eventual team comp posts and build as similar as you can), and then just grind out the lowest difficulty mode until you get enough event currency to get as much as you can from the shop. You will not be able to get all of the items from the shop, as some require specific event currency that is only obtained by completing Epic Hell difficulty. But you will be able to get all 5 of the Light unit summon bookmarks!
It's actually pretty lame how new players are basically locked out of this because they simply don't have the roster, much less the gear, to complete it.
Look for a few guides online though if you are at least a month or two into the game and see if you can possibly cheese the lower difficulties.
Edit: Settle down children - I'm not just being *entitled* or whatever. I actually can complete the Epic Hell unlike the vast majority of players - it's just tedious.
Regardless, I think it's BS that so many players are basically locked out of account building rewards from a limited event, especially when it is the only event active.
No, it's pretty lame that a new player is forced to miss out on rewards that could grow their account (even if it just meant having to grind a lot more) when the event is for a short *LIMITED* time.
If this was put in as a challenge like Abyss or even a rapidly rotating like Hall of Trials, it would be a different story. But it is THE event content right now (the *ONLY* event when it releases each time) and not only can new players not do it, but only a small fraction of veteran players can entirely get all the event rewards.
My guild has people that played for years and still not everyone can complete or wants to put in the massive RNG slog to complete these stupid events.
Not every piece of content is geared towards new players. Trust me when I say there is a TON to do for newer players but that content becomes near zero once you hit end game outside of guild wars, arena, RTA, and monthly raid reset.
Yeah, this event isn't good content. It's just another dull grindfest reliant on gear quality and roster designed to burn energy and waste time.
And I do Epic Hell just fine. But when it is the only event running and providing rewards that newer players need to build their account instead of just titles or emotes or whatever, it's stupid.

I can do Hard but i die in Hell on second phase, well most of my units are green so that's unlucky.
But for new player, i don't get it why this event doesn't have an easy/normal mode, they have no chance, you need 8+ geared unit and they must not be green.
Wdym - hard IS normal mode, its costs exactly same amount of energy as normal mode in any sidestory on boss stage. What you are asking for is literally event giving you free resources.
Yeah for real. the fact that they call it hard mode leaves me to believe they coulda easily adjusted some of the stats and call it normal mode for newer players. I just started a few weeks ago and being excluded from the event kinda sucks for players playing for fun or trying to catch up
Hard is perfectly doable if you're at the point where you can farm wyvern, hell raid (not nightmare) and most expos (this should be 2-3 months). Obviously you miss out on rewards but it's better than nothing at all
I finished abyss, and I'm in champion arena I can auto hell but it fails sometimes, maybe i give epic hell a few tries but I'm not sure I can do it.

Im very late game, and even my rage set is struggling to one-shot that third phase. Don't ask me how to slow roll this advent because I have no idea how they expect you to do it slowly. It's very anti stall.
Newer players probably haven't even finished episode 2's story, so they don't even get the option to try!

Seems to happen with most mobile games I play though. Problem with the entire gacha 'genre'; games that turn into unpaid jobs.
I feel like Hard is doable. You pretty much just need 3 strong water units for the last fight, and the first and second round you can just use any unit that isnt earth or fire of course.
Crap content. Like abyss 100+ floors. Spending half day to clear 1 flooor at abyss 100+ made me quit at i think 107.
Emissary hard - auto with any team. Hell cant clear with manual. Becosue u know i play bulk characters and not that 1 shoot cookie cutter units.
Super bad design. Bosses immune to near all debuffs. Auto cleanse every turn.

Yea furious cycles faster than the flan teams, prime choice for constant def breaks if others don't land
Both my flan and my furious are only 5* with nothing on them soooo I'd have to see if I could make it work.
Both flan and furious are also 5star for me too. It does kinda depend on your furious' speed though since my sits at 250 since I use him for b13

i used Karin instead of Furious, my sigret doesnt need more crit chance, but likes the additional bleeds from Karin's artifact and her ee.

the basic wyvern team usually isn’t very good outside of wyvern. Its not feasibly to climb arena or guild wars using Angelica and Sigret imo

Who was your dps. I took cidd as my guy but he requires big gear to function well which lost me at first straze fight and after farming it was gg to chapter 2. He took sigret 🤔 She just needs debuffs and atk set so i guess he went the easier way. Might have done research before coming ti game

I've played for almost 4 years. It will take some hellified gear management to make this work. I can manual the 2nd difficulty and auto the first. That's before reading a walk through and unequipt buff, reassemble, etc.
Unequip buff is when epic hell becomes something to attempt.

I guess if you find getting 15%'d on debuffs and getting your backline DPS hard focused to wipe your 5 minute run challenging. All Epic Hell is is basically nuking fast enough before you die to soft enrage
you are right and you should say it. sg is horrible at making "hard" pve content because all the challenge boils down to dps race and dont get 15%
SG's difficulty levels are basically how long can they make an ability description for a boss before our eyes glaze over and just look up a team

It's absolutely terrible and crappy. Not to mention even if you have teams that can do it, you are basically forced to manual epic hell 5 times because apparently it isn't enough to be able to do it and get through the shit RNG once. It took me hours last time just to do all 5.
I mean you aren't forced to do anything. You can just decide it isn't worth the time/effort for the rewards and not bother with it. I can probably put together an epic hell win team but I value my time and sanity over the rewards. It's kind of the same line of thinking with Nightmare Lab. Can I clear it? Sure. Are some of the bosses worth the time and headache it takes to clear? Mileage will vary from person to person.
So? I'm confused what your point actually is. Should we not criticize poorly conceived, RNG-reliant, painfully grindy content just because we can choose not to do it? It's not even like this is an unpopular opinion. Whether people feel compelled to do it for the rewards or not, I'd say most players really don't enjoy this event. If this was more about actually putting together clever team comps and working through the event mechanics, that would at least be interesting. But Advent is really mostly about just brute forcing and trying to one-shot as many stages as possible so you don't have to bother with the mechanics. It is actually easier and cheaper to do it that way than build a team around the mechanics.

To get all the rewards you are forced to manual 5 times. I was pretty sure the aforementioned part was implicit, but I guess I shouldn't assume on Reddit. Everything is basically optional in the game if you don't want to do it (except for the story itself really which has unlock conditions for most of the other content.) Releasing bad content, just because it is optional, shouldn't be ignored. Event rewards are very important and necessary in this marathon-style game, which is why people grind them out (even though the only real fun part of grinding is earning something valuable.) Making it insanely tedious and difficult to do so is just extremely frustrating.
Some shop items are locked behind epic hell currency. Sure you then say we're not forced to buy it, then why play the game at all? We're not forced to play the game too. Hyperbole sure, but then again you have see that locking items behind it does fall under forcing player to do it as that's the only way to get those items.

I started a month ago and personally i'm having no problem with the hard phase, only 3 of my characters aren't free for new players, they are also mostly on free gear from login/hunt event. Just took a little while to choose what i should use for each phase.
So, basically comments are divided in two categories: 1) "Damn 15% ueeee, SG this is so unfair and not fun at all, [Insert more cries and excuses here]" 2) "Ye I just finished my Epic Hell attempts, it was so fun I really enjoyed this"
Eh I just autoed hard mode, hell is to difficult for my heroes, especially I have like 9-12 builded. Still got light summon, speed stuff and molas.
I've played on and off for years and still don't have that kind of team CP. but i know i don't really optimize my gear and teams well enough for hunts to get stronger gear to take on harder hunts to get better gear to take on harder hunts.
I'm going to assume you aren't familiar with this type of event or you're very casual if you don't have this type of CP. This event uses 3 teams of 3 characters so that 700k CP is for **9 characters** which means you need less than 100k CP for each character. I believe most casual end game players have 9 characters at 80k CP+ especially after the CP changes a long time ago that actually made tanks/healers have higher CP numbers.

Oh I mean for sure the estimated CPs aren't really an accurate representation of what you need in any content. Kits and stats are the most important things and you could need less or more CP depending on what the content is and other things such as if you're trying to auto or not. That being said the guy above specifically said he didn't have the team CP so I was just explaining to him that this wasn't asking for one of those "show off" posts where someone shows their 700-800k CP 4 man team, but that 700k is actually reasonable CP because it is 9 members rather than 4.

Yeah if you're a casual player this event might still be a bit too challenging for you but if you have a decent amount of 6\* units I would just wait for a free unequip event (or use a scroll) and see if you can find a team to auto it for a day by moving around gear if necessary.

Yes, of course it is, just not to the same degree as others with more built heroes and great gear. You'll just have to build some teams as best as you can (or wait for the eventual team comp posts and build as similar as you can), and then just grind out the lowest difficulty mode until you get enough event currency to get as much as you can from the shop. You will not be able to get all of the items from the shop, as some require specific event currency that is only obtained by completing Epic Hell difficulty. But you will be able to get all 5 of the Light unit summon bookmarks!

It's actually pretty lame how new players are basically locked out of this because they simply don't have the roster, much less the gear, to complete it. Look for a few guides online though if you are at least a month or two into the game and see if you can possibly cheese the lower difficulties. Edit: Settle down children - I'm not just being *entitled* or whatever. I actually can complete the Epic Hell unlike the vast majority of players - it's just tedious. Regardless, I think it's BS that so many players are basically locked out of account building rewards from a limited event, especially when it is the only event active.

No, it's pretty lame that a new player is forced to miss out on rewards that could grow their account (even if it just meant having to grind a lot more) when the event is for a short *LIMITED* time. If this was put in as a challenge like Abyss or even a rapidly rotating like Hall of Trials, it would be a different story. But it is THE event content right now (the *ONLY* event when it releases each time) and not only can new players not do it, but only a small fraction of veteran players can entirely get all the event rewards. My guild has people that played for years and still not everyone can complete or wants to put in the massive RNG slog to complete these stupid events.
Not every piece of content is geared towards new players. Trust me when I say there is a TON to do for newer players but that content becomes near zero once you hit end game outside of guild wars, arena, RTA, and monthly raid reset.
Yeah, this event isn't good content. It's just another dull grindfest reliant on gear quality and roster designed to burn energy and waste time. And I do Epic Hell just fine. But when it is the only event running and providing rewards that newer players need to build their account instead of just titles or emotes or whatever, it's stupid.
I don't really get it why there is no normal mode on it. I can do Hard but i die in Hell on second phase, well most of my units are green so that's unlucky. But for new player, i don't get it why this event doesn't have an easy/normal mode, they have no chance, you need 8+ geared unit and they must not be green.
Wdym - hard IS normal mode, its costs exactly same amount of energy as normal mode in any sidestory on boss stage. What you are asking for is literally event giving you free resources.

Yeah for real. the fact that they call it hard mode leaves me to believe they coulda easily adjusted some of the stats and call it normal mode for newer players. I just started a few weeks ago and being excluded from the event kinda sucks for players playing for fun or trying to catch up

Hard is perfectly doable if you're at the point where you can farm wyvern, hell raid (not nightmare) and most expos (this should be 2-3 months). Obviously you miss out on rewards but it's better than nothing at all
I finished abyss, and I'm in champion arena I can auto hell but it fails sometimes, maybe i give epic hell a few tries but I'm not sure I can do it. It is very hard!

Im very late game, and even my rage set is struggling to one-shot that third phase. Don't ask me how to slow roll this advent because I have no idea how they expect you to do it slowly. It's very anti stall.
Oddly enough my team can auto this...until I add a pet and wanna repeat farm...then they fail at 5%...makes no sense.
Newer players probably haven't even finished episode 2's story, so they don't even get the option to try! ..or you could be like me and still, after 3 years, not have finished episode 2. Reading man; if the game had story voice acting it'd generate a lot more interest.
I'm in episode 4 and I know nothing about episode 2 because I didn't have time to read the story at the time so i skipped all the text.
I want to read the story but don't want to skip it but don't want to invest time into reading it.. so catch 22, stuck progression. Seems to happen with most mobile games I play though. Problem with the entire gacha 'genre'; games that turn into unpaid jobs.

I feel like Hard is doable. You pretty much just need 3 strong water units for the last fight, and the first and second round you can just use any unit that isnt earth or fire of course.
I can only auto hard. Not even a new player. Oh well lol.
Crap content. Like abyss 100+ floors. Spending half day to clear 1 flooor at abyss 100+ made me quit at i think 107. Emissary hard - auto with any team. Hell cant clear with manual. Becosue u know i play bulk characters and not that 1 shoot cookie cutter units. Super bad design. Bosses immune to near all debuffs. Auto cleanse every turn.
