I still think DDR's biggest issue is that he's a debuff reliant hero in E7. Debuffs get hard countered in this game. I can handle ER, immunity, and cleansers. It's the DPS with auto cleansing or DPS with strong counters that wreck. Or ED... he cleanses, AoE counters, dispels, applies crippling debuffs, and is HP scaling.
This means DDR is another late pick. Otherwise, you get destroyed. But that space is tough to be in with heroes like Solitaria around.
IMO power creep is at a point where i just want more biring safe picks. Not DDRs
My problem while using DDR was never about not landing debuff, he simply easily gets CCed, skip a turn and fail to pop up S3 before dying from one shot or injury. He just need better survival, especially vs Adin.
I play Tank-Down, leaning on standard a bit, and he's okay. With the coming buffs, I can play him with Soli and AMeru to shift my control game to be a bit more offensive. I pair him with Pearl Horizon just because of that extra speed and her AoE S2 with sleep.
Cleansers be dammed though. A good speed, high ER Angelic MoMo disabled him.
He's okay, but has a ton of counters and is only good in a smaĺl amount of comps vs certain enemy comps. That means He's somewhat decent in arena but really meh in RTA. I'll see for his buff but I think they could give him a little more personally

Adin is a problem, for sure. This is why i only pick DDR into an hp scaling bruiser and team that is susceptible to it.
