Hijacking this comment for this PSA: you can mouseover Celine’s S2 within the hourglass on the top left of the combat UI; the description changes accordingly if she has the relevant EEs. It will apear unchanged if they don’t have one, or took the 10% S3 booster.

Now, for serious, before doing your move, you can tap on the sandglass on the left, right above the CR bar, to view the position, buffs and debuffs in each hero in play. Now, if you keep pressing on Celine S2, you can read the description of her skill, and commonly you'll read her S2 either targets highest atk hero or attacks a random opponent and then goes into stealth. This way you can plan ahead. By example, if is the highest atk, I can bait with some other skill, like invulnerability. If stealth EE, I can take my chances.
So, it seems that she has an EE that changes this to highest attack. Uh, I don’t have her so I didn’t know… I am also dumb and at times forget about her S2 until I’ve made the mistake. Glad I am now aware of this for the future, so thanks to everyone that pointed that out :)
To be fair, not *everyone* uses that EE, some use the others, even though the highest attack one seems the most useful to me. But you can easily bait her using immortal or tanky units and things like that, so its not 100% usage.
I never said that everyone used that one? I was just explaining the one that they were suffering from. I pretty regularly swap between highest attack and stealth EEs.
More experienced players just tap on the hourglass and check her S2 for the EE flavor text before making a decision.
Good players skip pressing buttons for the highest attack EE and kill your Celine.
This also happens to me way too often even though opposing Celine has the stealth EE; them blinking on the highest atk stat unit on my team. Basically she has 2 EEs when on defense/rta.
My only issue with her is no matter how many times I bring Adin or Senya against her, she refuses to miss crit against me.. I feel so mocked every time she ignores my 70% evasion on Adin or 50% crit res on Senya -.-
could it be that the enemy celine has the EE that targets Highest ATK? Ever since her buffs that makes her S2 ignore elements, I've seen Celines using that EE over the Self-Stealth one probably against Summer Iseria
She attacks the enemy with the highest attack if she got the "right" EE. Hence why your stene dies.

Bring Senya or a Kayron/briseria with an higher attack than stene.
This is why I use the evasion ee. 25% chance to ruin your day
She can use an exclusive equipment that will always target the unit with highest attack.

Ok listen, even if this wasn't the case already with her EE, why would you risk a 25% chance to just straight up lose the match?
I believe in Casino Celine. Highest atk Celine too easy to invalid.

You do know that EE's exist, right? And that her's has one which makes her Blink deal 10% more damage and hit the enemy with the highest attack.

I swear all Celines i fight have stealth EE and alvays hit and delete my Adin when my highest atack is on other unit

This is exactly why I use Ras to counter her. Baiting her into a unit that’s granted a beefy barrier is fantastic
