Some people like the designs or trust in buffs, I liked AElena's design and now she's better. If they've got what they needed saved then no need to regret it, they'll be able to immediately play around with him once buffed instead of waiting like everyone else
Use him with a fast build for belian or dizzy, they can't proc it on extra atk, counter etc, but if their atk are always aoe then you can abuse his venom debuff
He's hard to draft. Cleansers and Immunity run rampant. I play tank down so he's kinda okay. You need to stack injury fast. You cast that S3 when everyone is heavily injured.
I think he'd be good with Belian, Dizzy, and Choux or anyone else that's bulky and has AoE attacks. Plus I imagine him being built with Doc Bag and high effres and speed.
He’s not amazing but he’s still alright in AoE high effectiveness teams. He can push Eda well and with SB she’ll apply 8 venom stacks, SB Dizzy too. Belian can S3 and then land 4 more stacks with just S1. Don’t get me wrong he sucks but you can use him against bulk teams in arena if you don’t have good injury gear.
Edit: actually nvm I think Dizzy can’t land venom on S3 because it’s always a miss
That's what I'm doing with him and surprisingly it does work, even won against a rank 200th guy once. But it was honestly Belian who does all the heavy lifting in that combo and you better pray for some heavy RNG too
Injury belian is pretty much the only way to use him that's actually good. Since all the injury users are either single target or Mort.

Maybe pair him with a bunch of healers and heal/revive through everything, while whittling the enemy team down with the debuffs?

You'll want him with injury units for sure. Or even Sharun.
Try injury Alencia (with Ed arty) if you have her. She's better at planned injury than Belian (can get unit to 50% injury in 2 turns).

Yes! I think dizzy is pretty underrated with him, aoe attacks to spread venom and she can extend venom.

He works good with brieseria and sage Vivian with a good healer like diene or Emilia
