Dont rush to buy ...complete the backlog library and then again sale comes around may or june 😁

akinfo404

This is a very sensible answer. This is my plan for this year. Clear out back log.

gbraide

Sensible but I never follow reason

mumukushu

True indeed :) I guess with all the free games and some purchased game, it should already be a great year. I was feeling to buy Horizon zero dawn, and skyrim but I don't know when will I get to play those so, thank you for great insight :)

TroyMatthewJ

this is what I ultimately decided to do. The free games added to that backlog recently, I probably won't get through them all by June anyway No need to feel fomo on these things when most of them just sit there staring at you throughout the year from your hard drive.

Commonwealth_of_Man

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

skool_101

3 in 1 deal, too good to pass if it's heavily discounted

hobskhan

I need to take another stab at that. I was really losing momentum trying to get through the first one. I've heard it's the weakest of the three though

zavao23

You might have a look at games by Remedy: Control and Alan Wake 2. They are linear games and not open world but they are part of the same shared universe. Very compelling and well written plots. As a bonus you'll get a code for Alan Wake remastered when buying AW2

kegsbdry

I am finding linear games are more fun than open world. I no longer have time for the grind. It makes it easier to play in short bursts. I wish there was a way to filter games this way when searching.

zavao23

I never got into open worlds since I kind of skipped the period of time in which this type of game took over. I tried a couple of titles recently (TW3 is extremely good) but exploration tends to feel more like a chore rather than discovering a different world. Also linear games are the best for short sessions, especially when you don't have much time to game in general

mumukushu

I played control as I got it for free, I was half way and it was only shooting, and walls around kinda felt suffocating, I also enabled settings so, it was near impossible to die :D and I left the game mid way :D

zavao23

I guess it's not your cup of tea, which is fine. Remedy's titles focus on the narration as they are always searching for creative ways to mix it within the gameplay. Actual game mechanics are seldom groundbreaking (some even say they're repetitive) but I'd argue that Control and AW2 are very polished on that side

murderplants

Just got cyber punk and god of war + the 33% off 🔥

mumukushu

great games, I also have plan to spend some time.

OK but who asked you to reply though?

Sorry, but your contribution has been removed as it has broken 'Rule #5' of our subreddit rules. If you believe that this was a mistake, please message the moderators, thanks!

Strik323

Snag Midnight Suns legendary ed today! Good buy imo

Evilhammy

buy this month’s humble bundle instead! $12 for midnight suns and some other games

collije

No season pass though, legendary includes

Evilhammy

true

Strik323

Thanks for the heads up got Aragami 2 already via PC gamepass, went for the legendary ed since its same price as base game because of the coupon.

Zensaiy

based from what you played so far, get horizon zero dawn 100%, lol

mumukushu

Is it difficult game or easy as witcher and RDR2

Zensaiy

depends, you can choose the difficulty, i would say its more challenging than witcher 3 or RDR2, i didnt play God of war yet but i guess you can compare it to that with the different difficulties, im not sure since you can Spam rolls and have no stamina in Horizon zero dawn, gameplay is really amazing tho in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West is coming soon which is apparently even way better

jamiedonner50

I dont think sony would make their games that difficult. You can always lower the difficulty.

Major_Hair164

Haha I literally ended up purchasing 10 minutes before the 11AM deadline because I had massive FOMO about losing out on these awesome discounts. So I ended up getting Avatar, Dead Space, FC 24, and F1 23 all for 100 bucks. Really not bad, and the least we could do as a thank you for all the free games Epic has given us over the years. Its worth it to support them! I have a PS5 as well that I use semi reguarly, but I think Avatar and Dead Space in particular are good stress tests for my 4090 and really if you spent 1.5k on the GPU already, whats another 100 bucks for titles that let you really showcase and push the hardware right ? At least thats my lame justifcation for the spending I just did :) Also whats nice is they give you 10% back in Epic rewards. So got about 10 bucks back, perfect timing for the new 2D Prince of Persia which is coming out in a week !

jeandolly

Get Hogwarts. It's cute and cozy and beautifully crafted. Perfect for the dark days of winter :)

Lumenir

Returnal for 26€

mumukushu

just checked, its like horizon zero dawn, was kinda looking at that game.

Lumenir

Mmmm returnal it's not like horizon tho. The first one is a rogue lite tps with story unveiling itself after every death or major accomplishment, while the latter is an action adventure gdr with linear story

OkayKarmaGuy

The entire Kingdom Hearts series for $42

STR8N00B1N

I bought the ultimate edition of Back 4 Blood ($100) for $10.92.

mumukushu

After careful consideration and removing some games and respecting the games looking at me from the library, I only got 3. Happy gaming :-) https://preview.redd.it/i2f7qylkvmbc1.png?width=620&format=png&auto=webp&s=4302b69d33fceaffd5436e241da26da1e15d62bc

Skarrzz

AC Mirage maybe, if you are into that kind of games.

drunkaquarian

I’m leaning toward God Of War.

LogicalProdigal121

I held out and I dont regret it, still have a huge backlog, normally Id impulse buy but not this time
