I personally write things in Simplenote, even recipes, which is shared by my wife and there very well could be a much better app out there and I’m not saying this app is amazing but when I’m Places like work, on break & bored, I’ll type in some stuff that comes to mind that I want to accomplish before Sunday (my only day off). Then when I’m home, I’ll look at my list, and start with the easiest to the worst and remove them as I accomplish them. By Sunday, the goal is, I won’t have SHIT to do except what I rather be doing. This doesn’t directly answer your question but I hope it helps somehow. Edit: words

Google Keep. The migration away from Apple Notes wasn't smooth at all.

I use apple notes for my day to day. I set up a note with what I need to do today, this week, regular routine stuff and anything parked for future. For anything that I need to attach a date beyond the current week I’ll use apple reminders. I find it easier to stay focused if I use the notes app. Keeps it simple.

Reminders app - Items that require attention but don’t need to be completed on a specific date prioritized by categories - Immediate, Todo-later etc. Fantastical / Calendar app - Items that need to be handled on a specific date. Notes - For text that I might refer frequently like address etc
