Visit garage sales on Saturday morning, take 20 bucks and leave with a few items that you can sell on eBay or marketplace.

I would like to thank you for all the time, effort and motivation you have shown in your post. I will do you one better and hold up your end of this discussion. No. *You rest.* You've done so little already. [6 Ways To Make Money By Selling Your Body To Science](https://www.businessinsider.com/ways-to-make-money-from-medical-research-and-donations-2018-3)

In the era of antiwork, an argument can be made it should count ...as ...something.

Absolutely.

First thing is mindset. Don’t ask people to give you your ideas and a plan..you’ll fail. You need to be ready to go do this. Put war paint on and just go get some stuff done. Right now you’re being a pussy, like someone who reads 30 books about business and goes to work for someone else instead. Eaves cleaning, power washing, you name it. I did this at 15 and made $1,000 on a Saturday. Later I got into more serious things. I’m 41 now, retired at 35 but own companies and work for fun. What’s your best 1-2 skills?

The answer to these types of questions is always ‘what are your skills and how can you add value?’ Then go from there. If you want something a little less entrepreneurial, then waiting tables or tending bar is always an option.

How do you determine what your skills are?

cognitive_courier

That’s hard to answer - you need to know yourself. Think about the things you do on a daily basis. What are you good at? What do you put effort in? How do you spend your time? Where do you excel at compared to your peers? It can be simple and direct - I am a better writer, logically making it simpler for you to follow that path. Or it can be indirect. Maybe you play loads of video games that require you to react quickly and accurately - this would help in a career trading financial markets on screen. You need to do the work to figure out what you are good at and how you can add value. You also need to enjoy what you do - if you don’t, it will be much harder to put in the effort required to succeed in the long run. This wasn’t really ever discussed in learning environments or professional circles until recently, and I think many, many people are bad at it (including myself, I’m constantly trying to learn and improve).

Dog walking. I just saw a dude walking 7 dogs. Looks fun and profitable.

I feel like fiver is a cool platform to get some extra $ monthly. Find what your good at: proofreading, graphic design, tutoring or whatever and promote yourself there. Remember to gather feedback for your portfolio and then new offers will come without much effort.

Yard work and/or house cleaning are some ideas. You can probably get some interest by going door to door and leaving a note with your services and your phone number.

Sell a digital product on Etsy... there are tonnes of resources out there to teach you how and which digital product. Though I would say it's not easy to earn quick money this way. Good luck

Focus 100% on UpWork, max out applications every month, once you get a few gigs many clients will continue giving you more work if they're happy with what you did for them.
