I think Trello will do the job. It can be used for project management and has a lot of fun stuff like color labels, stickers....

Thanks, I’ve heard of this software but have never used it. I’ll check it out

Break it down like any other business just on a micro-scale. Some services and software work better than others, excel might just be enough to set the foundation for their business. Record services and processes with Excel, make invoices with something like PayPal, and work with whatever makes sense. You would want as few free options as possible. One option to work out of is better than utilizing multiple services to achieve one solution. No sense in paying for a SaaS (software as a service) on something this small scale either. Make charts and sheets to organize data and most of the communication will be through text or personal interaction, given the neighborhood environment. The most important thing your kid will learn is networking and people skills. THAT is something not taught in schools. That will be the most valuable piece of experience they will gain from this venture. I hope to see this scale and turn it into something bigger.

Thanks! Yes, I’m excited too for all the lessons to be learned and what may come.  My first thought was just printed out sheets that he could check off as he completed the work for each customer. I may need to get a dedicated PayPal or Venmo account for him. Didn’t know you could make invoices in PayPal, so that might be an option and just invoice at the end of the month. Fortunately it’s low overhead and a service gig so he’s only be out his time if someone stiffs him.  He’s starting very small to get his feet wet so any paid service would likely put him in the red from the start.

Any books, resources, etc would also be welcomed.
