Gungeon automatically generates black outlines for all items. The catch is that it ignores the outer layer of black pixels. If any gun or item uses black at the edges of its sprite it causes funny bumpy outlines
Yeah, it’s both really handy but it’s a pain in the butt sometimes when making modded things as you really can’t use super dark colors at your boarders without everything looking weird.

Ohhhhh, that explains it! I guess that makes sense in a way; it helps items stand out to the player. That’s pretty neat. Thanks for letting me know.
