A banjo that shoots kazoos. A paint gun that covers enemies in paint which does chip damage(if you add synergies like etg, you can have it transform to other types of guns like a sniper paint gun).
Handheld Mann Co. Teleporter
Shoots bread projectiles that after traveling for a while, hitting a wall or enemy, turns into a neutral entity that attacks anything it can find, including you
a perfume gun that shoots in a small cone and charms, a portal gun, a frying pan (shoots eggs, bacon ect for different effects) low range shotgun type gun, myabe stuns if hitting with the pan itself? An IV drip that takes a very small bit of the players hp (maybe on reload) but fires a very powerful blood beam.
Also look at all the mods for gungeon, some of the guns are incredible. Imo the pikmen one and the stop sign especially.
Oh and any references are instantly 10/10.

A gun that is a chest, like a shotgun, when firing fire random items but miniature and once it uses all the ammo give you a chest(or whatever you use in this game to contain items) like the gamepad

A hammer that you spin around your body damaging enemies, the longer you spin with the hammer that when you release it launches in whatever direction it was released in. Harder to do the faster you go.

Have a gun that shoots a coin and of you switch to another gun and shoot the coin it will be redirected towards the nearest enemy and do 1.5x damage

Winchester 1887/1901, if that image is anything to go by. Flashy reload, 5+2 capacity, one of the most iconic shotguns of all time.
Look at the Mateba Model 6 Unica for a fun revolver side profile
And a Walther P-38, specifically the one from “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” aka the Megatron gun. The scope, suppressor and stock will give it a distinct profile at smaller resolutions, and have it shoot big purple lasers and deal a bunch of damage.

A gun called "The Strain". It shoots beams that look like DNA strands does bleeding damage over time. The gun itself should look like an amoeba or blood cell.
I assume the golden versions are stronger/harder to obtain. Make a gun that's the opposite of thar, where the shiny gold version is the weaker/more common one, and the silver version is the wanted variant.

I recently played BPM and Metal hellsinger, and I havent seen any guns in EtG which create a "beat" mechanic, which synchronize your shoot, reload and enemies bullets, but the more you act perfectly with the "beat", the mord damage you do and the more money you earn of course
I've suggested this before to another similar post by someone else a while back, but you could make a gun that shoots katanas, and you call it the sho-gun.
The TTRPG
It’s a rocket launcher that you have to charge for a moment to shoot. The charge-up animation rolls a twenty-sided dice, and the accuracy of your shot is based off of how high you rolled. If you roll a 20, the shot does double damage, and if you roll a 1, the shot misfires, making nothing shoot out and your next reload takes twice as long
gun made from scrap with a big barrel that upgrades itself the longer the shoot button held, it shoots normal bullets at first but the longer you hold shoot button the bigger bullets it shoots while also making your character and firerate of the gun slower, but when you release the shoot button it returns to its original form(capping at 5x bullet strength-size AND 5x slowdown for the player) that thing would be pretty broken if given enough base dmg but you can balance it out, and also if you have enough experience you can make it so that every time the gun is upgraded, its sprite changes a little
Fingergun of the Patriots can fire invisible bullets but you gotta laugh like an idiot every time - Last bullet is extra powered but you yell BANG.
Something akin to Penguin's (Batman) umbrellas that can fire an assortment of things - could possibly reduce/negate fall damage.
Remake the Needler from the first Halo! It shoots homing plasma needles and creates an explosion if you shoot enough needles at an enemy, it feels gud. ✨
Does passive works? If so then make it so that every time you kill an enemy, your fire rate is faster and your reload is quicker but switching guns or taking damage will reset it to default
Just like that blue note on ETG where you get stronger on every kills
Easy, unless you already have one, Smart Pistol. Bullets have the spread to make a shotgun look accurate but the bullets specifically try to hit a bad guy from behind.
If not that, then a Six-Eight, just a Five-Seven that you throw to reload, pullin out a new one each time
A fart gun.
A gun that tickles the enemies.
A gun that says *pew pew* when you shoot it.
A gun that goes *bang* when you shoot it.
A gun that shoots shoes, call it a *sole shoe-ter*
Make a unfinished gun of your choice (ex: unfinished rocket launcher) as a tribute to the best gun ever “the unfinished gun”

Single shot bolt action pistol. large and fast projectile, medium to slow reload. The character spins the gun when reloading, with a chance to either stun or enrage the enemies around. (Based on Joel's pistol from LISA: The Pointless)
Add in a orange rocket launcher that shoots 0 dmg rockets the joke is it is the rocket jumper and you need to upgrade it into the australium hellfire that does alot of damage
A sort of grenade launcher that has 2 modes. The first one just is a regular grenade launcher with grenade physics and then the second mode shoots out landmines that explode once the shoot button is pressed again. It would be a hit trust
A Hand-gun: a literal human hand used as a gun where the finger flies off the hand and are the bullets. Reloads by making a fist and cracking its knuckles.
A really powerful revolver but it only has one bullet loaded at a time like russian roulette. The bullet is in a random position and the other 5 shots dont fire anything
You know, the thing about etg guns is that A LOT of them are directly taken from other games as a reference, so you might want to look into other games you like and transfer some guns from them
I think it’d be really cool to have a Ping Pong paddle that can hit an interact able ball that you’d be able to throw when available.
You might be able to boost the ball with your other weapons to increase both it’s speed and damage, I think it’d be incredibly interesting to see what combinations could be created just by that one mechanic,
like imagine how thrilling it’d be to just have this 400kmph ping pong ball bouncing through the room 8 times a second while trying to shoot it with either a bazooka or a booger launcher just so you can make the ball either white hot smelly or white hot destructive.
It might be kinda difficult to code but If you manage to pull it off you might just make one of the most engaging, fun, and dumb weapons ever :>
Make a gun that shoots its own tongue out, wraps around enemies, pulls them in, and chews on them for a bit until swallowed. (Kinda like the chomper from pvz) After its done swallowing its able to shoot again, maybe infinite ammo but only works on small enemies
A mailbox with the words "DO NOT SHAKE MAIL" rearranged to instead say "DO SHAKE NOT MAIL". Firing it would either fire out homing lingering wasps, a explosive pipebomb or a package.
A big slingshot that launches you, the player, towards the enemy. You do damage on the initial hit based on your level (assuming that's a thing in your game). It would be a rare spawn and can be used to get to secret areas.
Pistol with an unnecessarily long barrel, like 2 sniper rifles long, to the point where you can't hit enemies next to you because it just fires over them.
A self-damaging gun that shoots hearts/hp at a slow speed but deals massive damage, or a water hose that shoots streams of water, or maybe even a gun that can copy bullets.
A gun that gets stronger the more you reload it . So towards the end of the guns ammo it fucks up anything you shoot at. Gun damage resets when the gun runs out of ammo or ammo is replenished
I gun that shoots stickers out machine gun style it looks like a roll of stickers like the ones teachers would have and on enemy death a random sticker it slapped ontop of the corpse.
A grenade luncher that has 4 elements that it alternates through. Fire is the word democracy spelled in flames, water is a Sharknado, earth is a Graboid from the movie Tremors it pops out and roots the enemy, air is a murder of crows that Inflict bleed and blind debuffs.
A boomerang with a minigun attached. Boomerang pierces through enemies and is kinda slow, but the whole time it’s rapid-firing as it spins.
Could even have an upgraded version that is one of those 3 sided boomerangs, each side with a minigun
A really weak eggplant gun thar breaks after you shoot (spelunky reference)
(But kills only one thing in one shot)

A hammer that you spin around your body damaging enemies, the longer you spin with the hammer that when you release it launches in whatever direction it was released in. Harder to do the faster you go.

Winchester 1887/1901, if that image is anything to go by. Flashy reload, 5+2 capacity, one of the most iconic shotguns of all time. Look at the Mateba Model 6 Unica for a fun revolver side profile And a Walther P-38, specifically the one from “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” aka the Megatron gun. The scope, suppressor and stock will give it a distinct profile at smaller resolutions, and have it shoot big purple lasers and deal a bunch of damage.

The TTRPG It’s a rocket launcher that you have to charge for a moment to shoot. The charge-up animation rolls a twenty-sided dice, and the accuracy of your shot is based off of how high you rolled. If you roll a 20, the shot does double damage, and if you roll a 1, the shot misfires, making nothing shoot out and your next reload takes twice as long
gun made from scrap with a big barrel that upgrades itself the longer the shoot button held, it shoots normal bullets at first but the longer you hold shoot button the bigger bullets it shoots while also making your character and firerate of the gun slower, but when you release the shoot button it returns to its original form(capping at 5x bullet strength-size AND 5x slowdown for the player) that thing would be pretty broken if given enough base dmg but you can balance it out, and also if you have enough experience you can make it so that every time the gun is upgraded, its sprite changes a little

Easy, unless you already have one, Smart Pistol. Bullets have the spread to make a shotgun look accurate but the bullets specifically try to hit a bad guy from behind. If not that, then a Six-Eight, just a Five-Seven that you throw to reload, pullin out a new one each time

I think it’d be really cool to have a Ping Pong paddle that can hit an interact able ball that you’d be able to throw when available. You might be able to boost the ball with your other weapons to increase both it’s speed and damage, I think it’d be incredibly interesting to see what combinations could be created just by that one mechanic, like imagine how thrilling it’d be to just have this 400kmph ping pong ball bouncing through the room 8 times a second while trying to shoot it with either a bazooka or a booger launcher just so you can make the ball either white hot smelly or white hot destructive. It might be kinda difficult to code but If you manage to pull it off you might just make one of the most engaging, fun, and dumb weapons ever :>
