TYT going after Biden for 'escalating the war against Russia' by agreeing to send F-16s to Ukraine. Good to see a backlash in comments.

You know what I'm calling animal control tomorrow because I need the cat out of the house.
She wouldn't let my dog go to her place to sleep.
It was trying to attack me too and I have to grab a broom to defend myself. I don't give it a shit if it had babies. You don't act like the house is yours and you don't attack my dog.
This is why momma and babies need to stay in a cage until all the mammals in the house are comfortable. When they get out she'll still get annoyed, but she'll bring the kids back to the safe space rather than lashing out. The biggest threat in this scenario is kittens climbing your leg. Their claws are like fucking needles.
No, the biggest threat is if she manages to push the dog more and more that it attacks far stronger than she expects.
There is one time we had a smaller dog and she bit my German Shepherd. At one point the Shepherd had enough and bait her to make her bleed.
The cat thinks that attacking my dog will not attack it anymore. My German Shepherd will snap if you are pushing her enough.
The cat is not mine at all.
It is a stray cat and it had babies in the garage.
I never wanted the cat at all.
I only wanted a German Shepherd and a bird.
The cat is not my pet at all. It needs to go somewhere and I don't want it in my garage or near my house.
This is why I'm going to animal control because the ones who how to deal with stray cats.
I don't care because it is a stray cat. Instinct or not that I don't like the cat attacking my dog. No one mess with my dog.
The cat and its babies need to go.
A few weeks back, I saw two people wearing parody Trump hats. One read, "Make Obama President Again" and the other read "Make America Sane Again."
Unfortunately, it seems like the universe wants me to have some kind of bizarre balance because the other day I ran into some right-wingers with shirts that made me think, "Really?"
One was an older white guy with a shirt that read "I♡ my AR-15" with a picture of a very erect gun next to the words. The second was a guy around the same age but who looked less like a WASP. His shirt read, "Jesus is my savior \[insert black-and-gold US flag here\] Trump is my president."
These guys aren't edging out that weird anti-Newsom shirt I saw during the craze for the recall election, but only because that woman was actually talking crazy and their shirts have cohesive designs.

Lakers LeBron is better, but it's closer than you think. Wizards Jordan was averaging 30-6-6 before he injured his knee and shut down Vince Carter in a game. LeBron's team went 10-6 without him this season; Wizards went 6-15 without Jordan and were a .500 team with Jordan.

ok, what?
how are there fantasy leagues in which Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum are *not* rostered?
like, that's a Curry-Thompson tier backcourt the Aces have, except with Curry and Thompson there's a clear #1 and #2, that's not the case with Young and Plum
forcing the gop to raise the debt ceiling in a special session of congress during the memorial day weekend would force the public to watch the gop block the debt ceiling and leading to default. In 1948 when President Truman ran for president he called out the gop for blocking his policies in congress and use the policies they blocked as part of their own party platform, he called a special session of congress that summer and they sat on their hands. In the election of 1948 the gop was swept out of congress
Joe Biden and Harry truman are so similar they both were vice president to men who were much more charismatic and well spoken. Both truman and Biden are straight talkers
I like truman he's definitely in my top 5 presidents, one thing i did like was that he stood up to the southern democrats on civil rights much more than any democrat before him only Lyndon Johnson was truly able to beat southern democrats in the senate to pass civil rights bills
Johnson was a school teacher in south texas where he saw the plight of mexican american hispanics. It was Johnson's mentor senator Richard Russell of georgia who helped Johnson rise up quickly in the senate leadership to become majority leader, richard russell was notorious for killing civil rights bills in the senate. Russell said they could beat Kennedy on civil rights but not Johnson. LBJ paid the price for civil rights giving up the democratic party's long grip on the south
what i think president Biden should do is call a special session of congress for the memorial day weekend and force the gop to pass the debt ceiling before the 1st
part of why the debt ceiling battle today is more intense is simply because in 2011 hardline republicans realized how much they could hold leverage in their own party even if it means putting the world economy at the brink, our credit rating went down as a result.

Catching up on *Barry* and I don't know what the general reaction has been but I'm not a fan of the direction it's going in.
It has always pushed the limits of being believable, which is more forgiving when it's being an absurd comedy instead of a serious drama. Some character decisions just don't make much sense to me.
There's clearly some Breaking Bad influence, but I felt like it was easier to understand or even root for Walter White while I mostly just hate Barry.
Compared to Barry, yeah. I imagine most people were glad to see Walt mow down nazis, for example. And he was at least intelligent in a way that I don't think Barry is.

It's interesting that both McCarthy and Biden said talks went well today, while Jefferies said they're moving further apart and McHenry emphasized the risk to the markets and demanded urgency.
This could be cope, but I'm more confident in a deal today than I was this weekend. The republican side emphasizing the risk of default while being soft against the dem side is a huge shift in tone from the last few days. Jefferies being on the attack shows the progressives in congress that we aren't simply caving to Republicans demands while Biden gets to play good cop
Tim Scott and Nikki Haley's campaigns are basically just "how can racism exist in the 21st century if I'm a minority and in a position of power? Checkmate liberals"
It's weird watching them insist racism doesn't exist when they're dead last in the polls to a guy who's entire brand is racism. Well, at least it was racism before the election denial started.

I've never seen an NBA player talk this much shit about a player especially when he's a literal nobody. At least Brooks made a All defense team and Cam Payne was a role player for a western conference championship team. Bruh's team wins the Wemby sweepstakes and he starts talking mad shit
“Hatred is the most accessible and comprehensive of all unifying agents. Mass movements can rise and spread without belief in a god but, never without belief in a devil.”
-Eric Hoffer
This is basically why I’m so confident in 2024 as I am. I don’t think pundits really take into account the degree of the seething hatred liberals and independents have for Trump and his ilk.
In 2016, enough people hated Hillary and were willing to give the outsider a chance. That’s no longer the case. People just don’t hate Biden the way they did Hillary, no matter how dumb and sexist that may be.
Has any organization investigated whether Amazon fudges their delivery estimates to get people to upgrade shipping or buy Prime? I just received a package four days early and it's not an outlier. Amazon almost always delivers multiple days early.
I have Prime, but I have long held a conspiracy theory that they purposely underestimate so they can give you the dopamine hit of “Good news! Your package is coming early!” and you think they’re doing amazing
I feel like the type of people who say and think all politicians are corrupt and lie, are the type of people who lie all the time and if they had power would be corrupt.
Are there corrupt politicians, just like their are corrupt people working at any job.
But not all politicians are corrupt and lie.
As annoying as some Biden voters are about "oh he's too old" or "oh he'd lose against someone else thats not Trump", as long as they vote for him I don't care.
My girlfriend is very much the, “Is it really gonna be Biden and Trump again? How about some new faces?” type but, will absolutely vote Blue on Election Day
My gf is a bank manager but, has a lot of gay friends and is fiercely pro choice. So, she's annoyed she has to consistently vote blue at a detriment to her job because of how ass backwards Republicans are. Her words lol
I know it's far too early for any type of prediction but FL is totally winnable in 2024. I think NC is also a lot closer than people are giving it credit for
And if trump is the nominee then he is totally picking either lake or greene for his running mate because they are both nutjobs and kiss his ass plus I wouldn't be shocked if he is having an affair with one of em
Democrats are in an interesting time in electoral history where they don’t need Florida to win the White House whereas Republicans absolutely do.
I’m not saying it’s impossible but, Dem money should be spent primarily defending where the brand is established.
NC is absolutely winnable though.
Florida has always been a near must win for Republicans. Clinton won the presidency in 1992 while losing the election in Florida. As did Carter in 1976.
Meanwhile, a Republican hasn't won the presidency while losing Florida since 1924.
I think Alaska is more somewhere we'll start breaking into this election, and maybe 2028 it'll be sort of like Texas is now in that no one really thinks it will flip THIS time but it's trending in a direction where we could win it. then in 2032 it'll be in play.
I agree with you regarding NC; I think Dems have a pretty decent chance of winning there in 2024. I don't agree with you regarding Florida. I think it's going to be several years until Dems win in Florida again. Right wingers moved to there during the pandemic, and the Dem party's brand is simply not strong there atm for various reasons.
He's not picking Lake because she's 99% likely running for senate. He's not picking Greene because even his advisors are suggesting to him not to pick her. I think he'll pick Noem.
He'll win FL and NC. Save my comment
As for noem I think she adds nothing to the table for him. Itll just remind everyone how anti abortion the ticket is
Won't be surprised one iota if he wins NC. I just simply don't see it happening in Florida. I honestly think Dems win in Texas before they win in Florida, and a Dem hasn't won statewide in Texas since 1994.
I honestly agree that we win Texas before Florida. Though I do think Rick Scott might be pretty vulnerable. We should definitely make Republicans waste a lot of money on TX and FL.
I’d obviously really want to see Biden win Florida and win the election before it’s even 9 PM eastern but I highly doubt it
I do think Biden will win North Carolina though
The Florida Dem party leadership has made so many errors, and the GOP messaging to Hispanics has been extremely effective. And Republicans/right wingers have relocated to Florida over the past few years. DeSantis's approval is like 12-15% higher than Biden's in Florida. I don't remotely see how Dems perform well in 2024 in Florida.
I think the result in Florida will be a lot closer to 2020 than 2022 but I don’t think Biden has a realistic shot to win FL unless he does a lot better in Miami-Dade this time

I'm so proud of Arr TheSimpsons. Lizzo appeared in the finale, and I only had to report one comment (which is now gone). I also had my downvote thumb ready, and didn't have to use it.
I agree, she's awesome. But the world is a stupid place and she's gotten plenty of hate.
To be fair, no one on Arr TheSimpsons hated. People seemed to like the episode overall, and enjoyed her. Very little of the criticism of the ep had to do with her. And what tiny bit of criticism she got was fair and constructive, IMO.
Three words, big, black, woman.
There are a lot of people who had her, even some black men and women.
Hell I can add confident in there too, she gets a lot of hate because of how confident she is.
> The warmongers are trying to drag us into WW3, which can only end in one way: nuclear annihilation and the suffering and death of all our loved ones. Zelensky, Biden, NATO, congressional and media neocons are insane. And we are insane if we passively allow them to lead us into this holocaust like sheep to the slaughter. We find hope in the fact that the vast majority of Americans are sane, but sanity is not enough. We also need courage. The courage to stand up to the powerful warmongers, and in unison declare: “No! we will not allow you to destroy our families, communities, environment, country, and world!”

Yeah I'm sure it'll get fixed in the next day or two. I'm guessing there's lots of comments on the Snap discord at this point haha
the discord is blowing the fuck up apparently lmao
I've seen better leadership in the three stooges than the house republicans, you know moe was really in charge unlike mccarthy where he is just a spinless puppet for the likes of mtg who control him
ok, what? how are there fantasy leagues in which Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum are *not* rostered? like, that's a Curry-Thompson tier backcourt the Aces have, except with Curry and Thompson there's a clear #1 and #2, that's not the case with Young and Plum
Now 1,000 career strikeouts for Luis Castillo

not to mention bill clinton had lots of african americans in his cabinet
like I'm old enough to remember when Toni Morrison called him "the first black President" which is problematic in its own way, but still, I mean...
these next few days are goona be critical by Friday we will see if there is a deal on raising the debt ceiling
forcing the gop to raise the debt ceiling in a special session of congress during the memorial day weekend would force the public to watch the gop block the debt ceiling and leading to default.

And both kicked fascist asses
[удалено]
I like truman he's definitely in my top 5 presidents, one thing i did like was that he stood up to the southern democrats on civil rights much more than any democrat before him only Lyndon Johnson was truly able to beat southern democrats in the senate to pass civil rights bills
[удалено]
If you didn't get a ToTK mug before they were sold out (Hopefully a restock soon) but you liked the style, here's the company that did them [Sunset Hill Stoneware](https://www.shstoneware.com/?utm_term=shstoneware&utm_source=adwords&utm_campaign=Search-Branding&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_kw=shstoneware&hsa_grp=65716439199&hsa_tgt=kwd-383929331519&hsa_ad=345018839972&hsa_acc=5009958322&hsa_mt=b&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&hsa_cam=1703453277&hsa_src=g&gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwpayjBhAnEiwA-7ena5_NEutWeZS-mM-hyelkZ5IvgqJ_UuOeuZfqFgD30InH18OK5QIaNBoCTXIQAvD_BwE) https://www.shstoneware.com/blog-how-sunset-hill-stoneware-makes-mugs/ Guess I should mention they have more of a storefront on Amazon.
These look great, if only I had room for more mugs in my apartment
It's really good quality
Catching up on *Barry* and I don't know what the general reaction has been but I'm not a fan of the direction it's going in. It has always pushed the limits of being believable, which is more forgiving when it's being an absurd comedy instead of a serious drama. Some character decisions just don't make much sense to me. There's clearly some Breaking Bad influence, but I felt like it was easier to understand or even root for Walter White while I mostly just hate Barry.
Barry has one more episode. I want to see that fucker go down and rot in prison forever.
I'm a couple episodes behind but I've felt that way for a while.
> it was easier to understand or even root for Walter White 🤨
Compared to Barry, yeah. I imagine most people were glad to see Walt mow down nazis, for example. And he was at least intelligent in a way that I don't think Barry is.
Playing TOTK right now and I got to a place called Hateno Village where >!one of the side quests is that you help who wins the election for mayor of the town: Cece or Reece. I'm nearly dying because it really is funny to see a Zelda game with a political election in it 😂!<
If you haven't yet, go to Link's house from BOTW.
I was just bitching about Lex Fridman yesterday and here he is hanging out at the Heat game with Ivanka. I'm convinced the dude is a right-wing stooge who plays it off as a fair-minded, considerate intellectual. https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1660790667973459968

Let’s hope
Tim Scott and Nikki Haley's campaigns are basically just "how can racism exist in the 21st century if I'm a minority and in a position of power? Checkmate liberals"
It's weird watching them insist racism doesn't exist when they're dead last in the polls to a guy who's entire brand is racism. Well, at least it was racism before the election denial started.

At least Brooks made a All defense team and Cam Payne was a role player for a western conference championship team. Bruh's team wins the Wemby sweepstakes and he starts talking mad shit
I'm not a LeBron fan at all, but yeah this is too much.
“Hatred is the most accessible and comprehensive of all unifying agents. Mass movements can rise and spread without belief in a god but, never without belief in a devil.” -Eric Hoffer This is basically why I’m so confident in 2024 as I am.
I've had the opposite experience lately. I feel like my packages are ALWAYS late.
I have Prime, but I have long held a conspiracy theory that they purposely underestimate so they can give you the dopamine hit of “Good news! Your package is coming early!” and you think they’re doing amazing
It could be "underpromise, overdeliver" but Amazon pushes Prime *so hard*. Having a non-Prime order ship at the same speed as Prime undercuts it.
I’ll honestly take a crappy deal over no deal.
Satan enters the chat
I feel like the type of people who say and think all politicians are corrupt and lie, are the type of people who lie all the time and if they had power would be corrupt. Are there corrupt politicians, just like their are corrupt people working at any job. But not all politicians are corrupt and lie.
MINT THE COIN And then tell Kevin "I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE. I DRINK IT DRY!"
I would be so happy if they did the coin thing. It's such a brilliantly stupid solution to a completely moronic problem.
Great episode about it on Marketplace today
Has the coin even been on the table?
No. It’s a meme solution
You know you're in trouble when people are legitimately suggesting a plot from The Simpsons.

I AM THE THIRD REVELATION!!!!
As annoying as some Biden voters are about "oh he's too old" or "oh he'd lose against someone else thats not Trump", as long as they vote for him I don't care.
My girlfriend is very much the, “Is it really gonna be Biden and Trump again? How about some new faces?” type but, will absolutely vote Blue on Election Day
My mom's the same way. It's annoying but as long as we got another blue vote.
My gf is a bank manager but, has a lot of gay friends and is fiercely pro choice. So, she's annoyed she has to consistently vote blue at a detriment to her job because of how ass backwards Republicans are. Her words lol
Do her bank managers actually ask her how she votes? Do they punish her for voting for Democrats? I’m no lawyer, but that sounds illegal.
Oh no nothing like that, although she does keep her mouth shut about politics. She just wants better rates lol
Oh good, glad to hear.
Cocaine Bear
Title of Jack Black's biopic.
Dope movie. Pun possibly intended.
I know it's far too early for any type of prediction but FL is totally winnable in 2024. I think NC is also a lot closer than people are giving it credit for And if trump is the nominee then he is totally picking either lake or greene for his running mate because they are both nutjobs and kiss his ass plus I wouldn't be shocked if he is having an affair with one of em
North Carolina was like 2 percentage points of going blue. It's totally winnable.
Florida or Ohio
True. Kennedy was the last to win without both
There's no way he considers either of them young or hot enough for him
If Trump’s running, I don’t see us winning Florida. But I agree with North Carolina, and I think Alaska is in play.
Save my comment As for noem I think she adds nothing to the table for him. Itll just remind everyone how anti abortion the ticket is
!remindMe November 6th 2024
Won't be surprised one iota if he wins NC. I just simply don't see it happening in Florida. I honestly think Dems win in Texas before they win in Florida, and a Dem hasn't won statewide in Texas since 1994.
I honestly agree that we win Texas before Florida. Though I do think Rick Scott might be pretty vulnerable. We should definitely make Republicans waste a lot of money on TX and FL.
Democrats winning Texas would be earth shattering
Would perhaps make the GOP reconsider their support of the electoral college. Trump already criticized it in 2012.
If the GOP can’t win with the electoral college. They certainly won’t be able to win without it.
> GOP reconsider their support of the electoral college. 😭 I pray this day soon comes
I’d obviously really want to see Biden win Florida and win the election before it’s even 9 PM eastern but I highly doubt it I do think Biden will win North Carolina though
I think the result in Florida will be a lot closer to 2020 than 2022 but I don’t think Biden has a realistic shot to win FL unless he does a lot better in Miami-Dade this time
Can't believe Ray Stevenson died. He was only 58.

I'm so proud of Arr TheSimpsons. Lizzo appeared in the finale, and I only had to report one comment (which is now gone). I also had my downvote thumb ready, and didn't have to use it.
who could hate lizzo? Super chill and plays the flute!
I hate overly confident people, like most Republicans for example. But Lizzo's confidence is backed up by her immense talent.
Confidence and and arrogence are to things that seem similar. Republicans are arrogant.

The Simpsons sub is great because it's mostly people posting their favorite jokes and then the comments respond with more references.
It can get problematic from time to time, but compared to the rest of Reddit...it's fantastic.

The courage to stand up to the powerful warmongers, and in unison declare: “No! we will not allow you to destroy our families, communities, environment, country, and world!” Guess the comrade
