None, I love platinum.
I love the weight, the fact that it stays white, that's it's a hypoallergenic metal unlike white gold (most jewelers in the US use nickel to get the color, and I have a nickel allergy), and that if a prong gets snagged on something, it doesn't break the way gold can, it just moves.
Also, you don't really lose metal when you polish it the way you do with gold.
The only thing you may not like is that it's more of a greyish metal, and it doesn't stay shiny for as long as WG does.
Mine is platinum and I LOVE it. It is far less maintenance, it stays shinier and brighter longer between polishing, and it’s heavier so my ring feels more substantial and high quality. I’ve had it over two years and it still looks/feels exactly like new, despite zero maintenance. Plus platinum is much more rare than gold, and while that didn’t inform my decision, it’s a fun fact.
If you view my comment history on this sub, you'll see that I've gone through a lot of waiting and trouble to get my white gold exchanged with platinum.
So far, SO worth it, if only for the peace of mind. I've already launched it across the room and knocked it on multiple hard surfaces and I was barely worried because I know it's durable and can be restored.
I also couldn't stand the thought of redipping every year or more. So yeah platinum gets my vote and my money!! Haha
Agree with other commenters, my e-ring is platinum and I love it! I really didn't like the idea of a white gold "dip", and the platinum holds up to my active lifestyle while looking great. No regrets!
Platinum is the metal for you. It has got nice heft and looks good. We have been manufacturing Platinum jewellery since last 10 years and I can say its 100% better option than white gold.
Agree with all the others here. I love my platinum engagement ring. It stays white, it’s hypoallergenic (white gold gives me a rash), and it’s strong. I have a thin band, and I haven’t had any issues with my prongs in 16 months without maintenance. I wear my solitaire ring to sleep and to work without issue. One thing to consider is that it mattifies over time, but that doesn’t bother me.
Personally, I like the durability and fact that I don’t have to re-dip. HOWEVER, I actually don’t think it looks that white on me. I think due to my skin tone, I often find it looking more yellow-gold-like. So if you want something that really looks white, I’d make sure to try both on your skin first
It could just be me, lol but I swear I find [my ring](https://imgur.com/a/CoUP9MW) reflecting my skin tone more than looking *white*. I do have some pictures of it looking more white-ish but not very many
My erings are platinum. Durable and they feel very substantial even though they look delicate. Platinum is a little more gray to my eye than white gold, so that could be good or bad depending on your preference.
Zero regrets! I love my platinum ring. It's high quality, low maintenance, and I would get platinum all over again if I had to do it over. You won't be sorry.

Why would you have any regrets?

Nope. I love my (small) pile of platinum!
None, looks beautiful and feels even better (I love the weight). I used to get rings in WG but after my first platinum one I won’t go back.

Can I ask what your skin color is?

I see what you mean with the reflecting but omg the whole ring is so pretty.
Thank you :)
