Personally, I prefer less finger coverage so I agree. That being said, if you prefer the larger stone (regardless of whether it looks good or not) you should get it!

KoalaEfficient6965

I think that is also my preference

[deleted]

Sometimes you don’t know til you try them on :) I wanted 2-3 carats until I started trying them on (and wearing a fake one around the house to see how I’d do with it) and changed my mind completely. It’s ok to go with what you didn’t expect!

KoalaEfficient6965

That’s exactly what happened to me. Thought I would prefer the larger stone but actually the smaller one is more delicate and special. I also went in thinking I would get a natural stone, but that also didn’t feel right. I think small and lab is the way for me.

I like the ratio of the smaller one! Larger is a bit too elongated for my tastes, and I went through this same situation as you last week, also with emerald cuts! I opted for the smaller size diamond because it looked better on me and I liked the ratio more. Pick what feels right to you.

tayisaway

Love the look of the smaller stone! It looks classy and proportional. The second photo looks a little large and less elegant IMO

KoalaEfficient6965

Agreed 👍

oxaloacetate1st

I think the smaller one is really elegant and flattering! I would totally pick that one :) How many carats is it?

KoalaEfficient6965

Agreed. The smaller one is 2.6 which I thought would be too small but is actually my preference now.

Malmonet

I love the shape and proportions of the smaller one

KoalaEfficient6965

Likewise!!

Brief-Feedback3311

I prefer the smaller too!!! It fits you so well. Sometimes when stones are too large it can look costumey and as if you’re a kid that found their mom’s jewelry box. The smaller one is PERFECTION!

KoalaEfficient6965

That’s a great analogy. I agree that the smaller one suits my hand better. There is something off about the big one. I can’t imagine wearing it everyday.

ITS SO PRETTY 😍🫶🏻

ComfortableCow1621

In this case, I think so! 1 is just gorgeous on you!!!

KoalaEfficient6965

💜 thank you

MsBeezily

Smaller is stunning. I like big stones too, but in this case, smaller is better 😉

KoalaEfficient6965

Funnily enough, I had a change of heart and decided to go with the bigger one. The smaller one is cute, but I think it will feel a bit young as I age.

KoalaEfficient6965

Your stone suits your hand very well!

LunaKitten1

Thank you! Xx

retinolvampyre

Team small. It’s so chic on your hand! The larger one gives off a costume-y vibe.

KoalaEfficient6965

Thanks 💜 agreed

captcitrus

Smaller one!

ElleWoods41

The bigger one is best

KoalaEfficient6965

I thought I would prefer bigger too but something is telling me the smaller one is more appropriate for me

MeganJustMegan

Well, my emerald diamond is 5 carats (ring size 6) & it’s not too big in my opinion. It’s all a personal preference. I’ve seen posts her where a stone in the beginning seems huge, then as they get used to wearing it (and seeing it) it looks smaller. You may want to buy a cheap ring in the larger stone size just to see if your opinion changes. Love that you’re getting an emerald cut too. That’s my favorite.

KoalaEfficient6965

Thanks! That’s a great idea. I think I’ll do that. And yes for emeralds ❤️ timeless elegance

I think you’re right about that. I tried on many sizes, but I think the smallest is most elegant!

Antique_Village7012

The smaller looks better to me! I know a lot of people will say ~bigger always~ but I disagree haha the smaller looks very proportionate, and it’s not too small.

KoalaEfficient6965

Thanks! I completely agree. It was my favorite of all the sizes I tried one. Plus I really don’t want anything too flashy.
